I actually liked nicole dress.

I both admire Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie - real talented actresses in HW along with Winslet and Streep. With that said, I don’t think Angelina was expecting to win anyway. She was clearly happy for Kate and if you watch it again, Jolie stood up right away when Kate’s name was called to acknowledge her win. Kate even shook Angie’s hand before accepting her award..

wow how nice whatever nicole said to Angelina! :) but I wondered what did nicole say to angelina? anyone? Pls? because I cannot hear caused I’m deaf so thanks anyone!

I thought Nicole looked very pretty. Very soft and feminine. Loved her dress. And what she said about Angie was very sincere. More-so then some of the others. I think Angie and Nicole could be good friends if they ever hooked up.
Angie looked happy and gorgeous as usual!

I didn’t like the way they had actors/actresses address the current nominees. It seemed too contrived and rehearsed.. or in some cases ill-rehearsed. You could definitely tell some were just reading and going through the motions.

I also hated Ben Stiller as Joaqiun.. it was inappropriate to have people laughing while showing some serious footage from films about murder and molestation. Tacky, tacky.

These “tributes” were written by the show’s writers. You can tell when some of the presenters went off script. Nicole was not one of them.

Nicole however was one of the best dressed of the night. i couldn’t believe how tame and boring many of the stars were, including Angelina.

I am very happy for Kate. She certainly deserves the win. Too bad JJ you didn’t include the lovely shot of Kate, Nicole, and Sophia holding hands as they walked off stage. Or is that somewhere else?

That was lovely. I’m pretty sure Jolie knew that Changeling was not going to be her Oscar. Kate Winslet cleaned up for best actress for her roles this year and it is her year - and well deserved. That being said, Jolie looked lovely, unsurprised and graciously happy for Kate.

Kidman looked really beautiful. I still don’t know why so many people hate her, she always seems nice and like someone who is very shy.

I think that it was great that Nicole payed tribute to Angelina! I liked her tribute a lot. They know each other for years … I think it is especially funny because Nicole was the one that could’t do Mr&Mrs Smith because she was filming some other movie, so Angelina got a role! I think also that Aniston fans are just jealous and it is sad that they can not move on finally. This “fight” story doesn’t exist, only tabloids create stupid stories and Aniston fans believe in them! The Pitts looked awful and miserable with their faked smiles. She wouldn’t even hold his hand or be affectionate with him during the show. She rather showed off her big emerald ring by placing her hands on her knees than share her moment with Brad with a touch or a smile. HE tried at least - several times. No reaction from her. They looked far from affectionate and happy to me.

Don’t be a horse’s butt. If you’d seen the Hours then you would know why Kidman got the Oscar. For some reason a lot of folks like you don’t like her, but she has commanded an impressive body of work. Her films have produced over one and a half billion dollars in revenue. With the exception of two of her films, all of them have made a great deal of money–enough to pay production and marketing costs and have money leftover for profit. Just because her films don’t do well in the US doesn’t mean the rest of the world is as ignorant as you. Her films do fantastic abroad. And she deserves the accolades she gets.

1) The Academy requests that members present months in advance. Such things are in cement before Christmas.

2) The academy does write what is spoken by the presenters. However, this year, it was allowed that the past winners could ad lib. Kidman ad libbed the “unforgettable part”. I only wish McClainne’s hadn’t ad libbed so much over Hathaway.

3) There is no real or imagi8ned animosity between Kidman and Jolie, stop reading tabloids.

4) I watched the Oscars, Anniston was obviously very comfortable, warm, funny, and had no issue with the Pitt and Jolie being in the front row and a few feet from her lengthy presentation.

%) Jolie was seen during Anniston’s presentation in close-up and was also genuinely smiling and laughing.

Jolie looks her age. Those who you clamor over for looking younger than their ages are young because of botox and plastic surgeries. White skin, though beautiful in tone, ages most among all skin colors. White girls at 20 show crow feet and from then on their skin wrinkles at faster a rate other races.

IMO, Nicole’s speech was the least flattering and the least complimentary (she discussed mostly the film and not so much Angelina) AND
Angelina was the least gracious.

Also, agree with whoever commented about Brad and Angie together–there was not much interaction or affection shown.

Nicole lives in Nashiville with her adoring husband Keith and everyone who has met her in Nashville has only good things to say about Nicole. Why would Nicole leave her lovely home in Nashville to travel all the way to L.A. to give a speech that she did not believe in? Even if Nicole read the tribute, that does not automatically mean that Nicole did not mean every word of it. That was a very lovely and caring tribute and you should not take it and make something bad out of it. Everyone who personally knows Nicole says that she is very kind and humble.

Out of the five presenters, Nicole was the perfect choice to talk about Angie. Her speech perfectly encapsulated what Angie brought to the character of Christine Collins. It was an incredible performance, which was recognized by her peers with nominations not only from the Academy but also the SAG awards.

Angelina Jolieis already an Academy Award winner, she didn’t lose at all. I even believe that she knew already that this year’ s Oscars is not for her. She genuinely congratulated Kate Winslet. Katedeserve this honor more than anyone of the nominees. She has great talents and a very genuine actress. She was nominated many times, at last justice is given to her now. As for Nicole Kidman,her sppech was fabulous and for those who say it was frosty, Nicole isn’t known as a very warm person anyway, it’s just her personality. The two women even share the same passion, enjoying motherhood and love for children in need. I’m sure her speech was more than heartfelt.

OH ! did you ever read maniston Vanity fair interview right after the divorce or any subsequent mag. interview right after the divorce, and yes ,the recent deliberately “uncool” quote of Angelina. and snarky remark of Angie at recent GQ. A kind , down to earth, gracious person would not back stabbed her ex husband . I never thought she was such a nice person even those day with Brad. In fact, never found of the so called “Golden couple” , I think they were just another typical selfish, shallow, greedy, narcissitic HW couple. Did anyone see Showbiz Tonights A.J Hammer said Angelina told the producers to put the camera on her when Aniston presented the Oscar for Best Animated feature. He seems to have a serious issue with her.

All the entertainment shows have isses with Angie, if truth be told. I think it is that they all let their personal jealousy of Angie move over to their work. People who really know Angie really like her. Brad loves her. She loves Brad and does anyone really think that their love is going to be determined by tabs and trolls. If that were the case there would be no SHiloh.

No sorry I have never read anything about Jen & Brad Pitt’s break up 5 years ago. I wasn’t really into them, I’ve always loved Angelina Jolie, so maybe you are right about this, but yet I did read Brad Pitt recent comments about his marriage to Aniston and how sweet she is. He publically stuck up for her and the uncool comment she made regarding the mother of his beautiful babies, which Pitt must of discussed his reasons for doig so, with the real victim who is Angelina Jolie. She doesn’t deserve the hate. Angelina Jolie has not done anything wrong, IMO.

I don’t mean to sound like a hypocrit.. too late, I did read recently all the rumors regarding why Brad Pitt and Jen Aniston called it quits. She filed for the divorce in early Jan and Jolie and Pitt were in Africa as “friends” later that year. People think what they want and want to say AJ & BP had an affair. It is NOONE’s freaking biz, and I just don’t think there was one. People like to speculate. No FACTS.

I don’t know about you but it seems like the paps knew ahead of time that she was going to be at the airport.Now where was Mayer,I didn’t see him there.I guess they ended their charade,wonder how much she paid him!!!

The Jolie-Pitts looked marvelous, not over the top - just right. They were as cool as they ever are….

Am interested to see how long the media is going to milk the triangle, even though we had the prom date photos and kisses from the Vanity Fair Homecoming Queen and Maniston. For any other couple, they have let the two people pursue their lives. Reese and Ryan have moved on without the media plotting them against each other. Why? It doesn’t sell. We can think of other high profile couples….Tom and Nicole, Uma and Ethan, Dennis Q. and Meg Ryan - They don’t sell. For some reason, there is a pretty pathetically large group of women that feel that Brad Pitt left them….

Hopefully, the media will move on, but I doubt it. Maniston’s behavior on the TMZ video is hilarious….why wouldn’t she just give them a shot? Can’t even get respect from the papz….but you gotta give respect to get it.

My morning radio station reviewed the Oscars and gave glowing respect to the Jolie Pitts, and knocked Maniston. They said that the word is that Maniston was prickly with Mayer becuz he was posing with alot of other actresses there and they really made fun of her, wondering what she was doing with him and predicting that it won’t last. It was pretty funny.

Angelina looked so regal and relaxed and I swear that I think Maniston is looking more and more like a character from Real Housewives of Orange County…Cougar version.

i saw the video of X arriving at LAX . She was mobbed by papparazzi and i guess fans . a slew of bodyguards had to help get her into the airport and whereever she was going . someone yelled ” why can’t you be like Angelina ?” then in the next video clip there was kate Winslet , oscar winner , with oscar in her arms , walking unfettered, hassle freee, bodyguardless, smiling, walking through the same airport . why in the h**l is X getting this attention but the real actress, oscar winner not ? did someone set this mob scene up ? it’s ridiculous !

I’m sure Aniston paid the paparazzi or ordered them to say that to her. Anything to get people to trash Angelina.

Angelina’s beauty is flawless and beond words.

Obviously somebody wanted to get a reaction out of her and knew just how to do it. If she looked up at that moment with a furious expression on her face and a paparazzi caught it, imagine what a tabloid cover that would make.

Angie looked beautiful, but I read she seems to SMUG lately, and it’s true, what’s with the posing on the red carpet (but no interviews) and the pursed lips, the head held high, story almost mentioned the move to France. She used to be a normal chatty woman, never stuck up. Looks like all the ‘power couple’ and ‘the most beautiful couple on the planet” went to their heads. You can tell, they have changed..too big now. And this was in the new york post, you can google it, Mondays I think, and also, on line in editorials.
Give me the ‘girl next door’ Jen, Katie, ANYDAY. Angie is a beauty but now seems Untouchable.

Maniston peeboy is a total let down, when he opens his mouth I cringe because you don’t know what lame thing he’s going to come out with. What is he —– a man or a mouse? I thought he went to the Oscars as her man and to protect her instead he admits he was more nervous than she was and the way he is gushing about people he met, it sounds like a kid talking. And this is the man she wants as a husband. Who will be protecting who in this relationship. Can you imagine if Brad and Angie had walked over to them or to their direction, he would have done a runner —- like a chicken or shaking like a leaf. That would have been quite a sight. I’m sure he was glad and a bit relieved they didn’t come closer. I could just imagine him sitting there perspiring under his brand new Armani suit with fake smile and frightened look plastered over his face while looking over his shoulder every second to see if Brad and Angie were any closer so he can bolt.

So I guess she originally said she had an Affair with Pitt in August of 2004. Like I said… she changed her story for Brad and caa.

In an interview with US Magazine April Florio allegedly claimed that Pitt “was attracted to me” and had “tried to kiss me, but I shied away.” She also claims that she told Pitt that she was “not interested in dating anyone in the industry.” In the interview she also said that she and Pitt had enjoyed a “three-day excursion last August” and that Pitt had invited her to Los Angeles while still married to Jennifer Aniston. Pitt denies any romance with the 22-year old model. His rep said, “Brad does not know April Florio. Could he possibly have met her at some time? Maybe, because he meets so many people, but he does not ever recall meeting her.” After the story broke, Florio started singing a different tune. She said in an interview with another publication, “The direct quotes that are supposedly from me in the magazine article are totally fabricated. I met Brad Pitt only once, very briefly, at a party. Would he remember me? Probably not.”

US Weekly’s West Coast Executive Editor Ken Baker says that is not so. He said, “We conducted an interview with her. We have her on tape making the statements published in the magazine.” “He also goes on to say that she sat for a photo shoot and that a reporter met with her to verify her statements. For someone who obviously thought this would be her ticket to fame, she must be hearing that clock ticking away the minutes pretty quickly.

Florio appeared on CNBC’s The Big Picture with Donny Deutsch as a guest and to explain her side of things. She claims that she is not using the scandal to further her career (yeah, ok) and when asked how she could explain Baker’s insistence that they had her statements on tape, she said, “they must have spoken to somebody else.” Oh, that must be it! Tick, tock, tick, tock…

I saw an old interview of Angie at Extra, she said ” I want him to win & I love him so much, the happiness it brings if he wins is 3 x as much”. That’s how much Angie loves his Brad.

As one of the host had said, red carpets wouldn’t be the same without AJ & BP. They are the epitome of true hollywood classic. Angelina is demure, beautiful, and, elegant. We, fans are so lucky in this generation to have been blessed to experience the beauty she has so exude. Hollywood stars alike couldn’t help themselves in admiring her.
