I’m so happy for the cutie Dustin Black for “Milk” =)
Oh, if only Heath could have been here…
mickeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :(((((((
and I’m totally happy for penelope , i love her so much!
The Oscars got it right, yay!
I heard Heath’s family went up to receive his award and it was heartbreaking… We miss you, Heath!
Have yet to watch the re-run, I’m excited for the performances too!
Ummmm this is why I don’t watch award shows anymore cause when the same person keeps on winning for every category they were nominated in it just gets too predictable and boring..I was so glad when Lord of the Rings was done…Very few Americans won!!! this is America for christ sakes..what has our country come to???
aww yay!!!
im so happy for danny dev and freida!!
they soooo deserve it!
freida and dev look related in this picture hahaha
dev is soooooooooooo cuteeeee
It was danny boyle film. His direction and music and editing and cinematography was great!.
100% indian movie will never win OSCAR because cultural difference and bollywood movies are about dreams not about real life. Why do you want to pay to see your own life in BIG theater?. More india improves economically , india can make great movies , brain is there for sure.
Somebody give Freida pinto some acting roles. I think she handles her very well in public. Very smooth so far.
The movie sucks and its overrated
they should of called it the slumdog Oscars! seriously every award, not that great of a movie for heavens sake, I thought the curious case of benjamin button was wayy better! this is why they oscars is sooo annoying, they usually give everything to one movie
It’s because they feel sorry for him concerning being born with those EARS, folks!!
what an over rated film! While there were genuine moments of greatess, sadly the ‘feel good factor’ killed it. in 12 months time we’ll all wonder what the fuss was about. Also the film company is morally weak. those children and their families still living in poverty while they make serious money. shame
Dev and Freida look beautiful together. He seems like a really down to earth, happy guy. I’m glad Slumdog did so well, it was a real good movie.

hate to tell you this but the united states is not the only place where films are made! they are made elsewhere. the idea of the oscars is honor all film regardless of where they are made. as for very few americans winning; what you want them to choose an american actor in every category even if he/she did not give the best performance? that’s would be missing the point. try to understand that not everything revolves around the united states.
i really like the movie
but…..the sweep made the awards so so boring
about everything they were nominated they won, toke all the fun out of it
they should have made an upset so it could be intersting
still, congrats guys =]
some indians criticized the film for depicting india as one big slum…also, none of the heads of this movie are indian. go figure.
Team Lara, you are mistaken, this isn’t ‘technically an Indian film’, it’s a British film(with Hollywood backing) set in India with Indian actors in it. It isn’t a Bollywood film, bollywood inspired maybe.
Team Lara…..a lott of d technicians invoived in the production of the film were Indians…Also,It had a beautiful feel and the essence of eternal love you could find only in a culturaly rich, respectful and warm country like India and so it couldnt be more Indian just for that single reason !!!!!!. GO FIGURE!!!!!!
Are they dating? I heard they were..anyways CONGRATS to Slumdog!!
I totally agree with Matt Damon. I did not like Slumdog, the Reader or Milk. As for Kate winning the award for Female performance is for the birds. She spent 90% of the movie nude, and making out with a child. How is that worthy of an academy? Iwould like to know who are these so called experts that select this bunch of crap.
