Zhang Ziyi Enthralls Japan

The film, a biopic on the life of famed Chinese opera performer Mei Lanfang, opens in Japan on March 7.

Stateside, 29-year-old Ziyi might be working with Tom Cruise in Lost For Words, a romantic comedy about an actor who falls for a Chinese director. EW reports that Cruise is considering the role.

Eh. She’s not ugly. She looks provincial. Not very sophisticated looking. Not to mention her face is not symmetrical. My brain is genetically hardwired to find women with symmetrical faces more attractive.
I’ve seen more beautiful Chinese, Korean, and Japanese actresses who are not famous in the U.S. but famous in their respective countries.
