Lauren Conad’s Book Cover — LA Candy!
Lauren Conrad has revealed the cover of her first fiction novel, L.A. Candy, which hits shelves June 16.
The Hills star has said about the book, “[It tells] a behind-the scenes story of a young girl [named Jane Roberts] who moves to L.A. and unexpectedly becomes the star of a reality television show. The books will be loosely inspired by my own experience and are definitely influenced by my own life. Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out… I’ve always loved books that I could lose myself in, ones that would transport me to another place, but had characters I could relate to. So, I’m so excited to have this opportunity to write books like that for other readers.”

All the people who say that this makes them want to vomit and that Lauren makes them sick, it doesn’t make any sense that you would say that. This is because you go searching for and reading things about Lauren and about what she is doing with her life and career. Don’t you think it is kinda stupid that you will search her name, and give her more publicity even though you hate her!?!?! Also, you are judging someone who you don’t even know in real life. GET OVER YOURSELVES, and try to accomplish something with your life like Lauren has.
Wowww why is everyone hating. The have samples of the 1st chapter online first of all and it seems the book is in her point of view and there is nothing wrong with writing a book about your life, most authors do it anyway. Besides when you’re the star MTV’s most rated reality show you must have something to bring to your interest for a story plot. Let’s be honest if you were in her shoes wouldn’t you like people to know on what happens behind the scenes of her life?
this book is amazing. just because she’s a reality tv star doesn’t mean that she can’t write. I can’t put the book down and i think you all wouldn’t be able to either, if you read it. so don’t critize her about writing a book and saying that it’s probably stupid, you need to read it to find out yourself.

@Rachel: The point is why waste your energy on commenting if you are so “bent”?? I know that I don’t go seek out people that I am so disinterested in only to bad mouth them. Haters are just jealous. If they really had a full life they would just not buy the book, not seek out sites to be so insulting to people they don’t even know. And by the way honey, you don’t know her by watching a few minutes a week of TV or because the papparazi says so… and for the person who is “in publishing” to presume she didn’t write the book….that’s pretty judgemental. I also have experience in the publishing world and putting aside editing, that’s pretty harsh to say she didn’t write the book.
It’s well written and people need to just get over it. What better compliment for Lauren than for people to say she couldn’t have written it! It only tells her that people think it is well written.

I read the book and it was really good I cant wait until the next ones come out
