One would think the paps should be delighted to get a shot of him and whatever woman. #59 and others: This is true, he was in public with Kristi at the Arcade (still wondering how certain people new about that date as the Arcade isn’t exactly one of their hot spots), but since then nobody has seen them together. Where was she on New Years in Miami (last year he was there with his then girlfriend and there were pictures)? Where was she at the Golden Globes and at the Elton John Oscar party (remember he even took Bianca there a couple of years ago). If he’s about to go public with Kristi, why hasn’t he done so yet? There were plenty of occasions. And why the hiding when the world has already seen them together at the Arcade anyway? It is possible that maybe it’s her (or her friends that apparently post here) that wants to think it’s serious and somehow get him to publicly acknowledge her while he isn’t that serious about it? Why else would someone say things like #45 (who needs to be someone close to at least one party if they know it’s “pretty serious”) when everyone knows he is always so secretive about his private life? I can’t imagine a friend of his would do that. He apparently was with Bianca for more than 2 years and never actually acknowledged her, he was with Jasmine for more than one year without committing. And now he’s supposed to go public with someone he’s known for what, 3 months? I don’t think so.

@mistress #63. I make one more attempt to post since you were kind enough to compliment me. The site seems not to want to post what I wrote in reply. It was long, but essentially that I do a lot of research on the internet and find it an incredible resource. Example: I was assigned to write a piece on anger management for a publication and found through Internet research a man who is an international expert and consultant to governments and corporations in war zones and other hot spots. And he lives about 10 miles from me. Amazing! I KNOW that I would NEVER have run across this person through any conventional resources I have, local newspapers, libraries, personal contacts, etc. The internet is an incredibly powerful medium. It has changed our world drastically and I like to see it used for good rather than malicious gossip and people-bashing. I have had wonderful exchanges with people around the world and been exposed to so much I didn’t know about. Most of this is work for me but I do sometimes read and post on sites like JJ for fun and curiosity. It can get addictive but it’s also time wasting.

Victoria and Jilleroo - ITA this place is fun, addictive and a great way to waste time - but in a good way - LOL. In spite of the ones who come here to talk out of their *ss, I love to read the comments from the thoughtful and funny people. My theory is that Gerry attracts as fans those who are smart and who love to laugh - like him. And I enjoy reading the thoughts of people from all over the world.

Why is there so much fighting about who he is dating? I’m very sure there’s a lot more women in his life than the few that are named here that we simply don’t know about. The photographers don’t follow him 24/7. The women we do know about may have a more deeper relationship with him in turn than we know about, after all, they all have jobs to take care of, as we all have…and I’m sure not all the women can drop their jobs at a moments notice to join him. We will never, ever, know what’s going on behind the scenes, so why keep demanding PROOF, PROOF, PROOF!!!! Maybe he is dating Kristi, maybe he’s not. Maybe he’s dating someone completely unknown. Honestly…does it really matter??

I’m beginning to believe that some people are gripping a little too tight to this guy, taking it a wee bit too personally, and although he maybe a wonderful man, and I’m sure he is, he is still only an actor, a man just like many. crikey, Victoria! I like you. I have a son who is a Bob Dylan fan! Has every album. My son is retro. I met Dylan when I was about 21. It amazed me that my son took to him so much, to the point where a Bob Dylan concert was in our town and my son stood in line when he was in high school to get two tickets, not knowing whom he could get to go with him, girl friend or boy buddy. Son said he was the only person under 40 in the line tor tickets. In the end he invited ME. We had a great time. I think he was a bit shocked at how old Dylan looked, but the great Dylan still turned in a performance. I guess I am a tad young to have appreciated Presley but I have since. snoopy #93 and anon #94, I believe the comment deleted had to do with spreading hepatitis. It was strange, popped out of nowhere. It was not #66, which was my comment about a post I made that was not posted. I did not write anything of dubious legality. I am meticulous about that and pretty up on libel law.
The site has a right to reject posts for any reason I guess, but I repeated my rejected post at #75 in shorter form and it was printed. I am anticipating a big crackdown on the internet one day. We have the right to free speech but also responsibility not to libel and slander people. Lawyers are working on this even as we write our thoughts. This site is presumably about G. Butler and I tell you there has been stuff said about him that would never have gotten by me here or on other sites if I were editor because it is ugly, vicious and nasty and can’t be proved. The rules about public figures are a bit different from private citizens but there is a point where you have to stop.

@ Victoria # 76 and #90. I agree that GB is a doer. He overcame a lot and made risky choices that paid off. So far. That’s why I admire him even when I question some of his current behavior and hope he doesnt blow his success.

Elvis Presley pretty well and admired him and talked about him a lot. Elvis, according to him, was a nice, polite, sweet, kind, yes ma’am, no sir, gracious young American southern gentleman whose life got way out of his control when he became famous. It seems he got more and more into drugs because he couldnt handle the fame and all that went with it. And this was way before the internet and the prevalent paparazzai Elvis was married to a young sweetheart but that didn’t work out either. He became a public icon, public property if you will, controlled by others, owing gazillions to his managers and handlers, and didn’t know how to cope. He was not his own man any more. My friend watched him go downhill and felt it was tragic and unfair.

Most of us in this world can’t afford to fly somewhere to try to get rid of our demons. I wish someone could find me that article. i’ve never seen it, only seen referenced in translation. I went and saw a live production in one of the theatre’s of POTO, it was brilliant, but I wished it was Gerry who was singing. as I mentioned before I’m a new Gerry fan, so I hadn’t seen him in the POTO, watched the DVD straight after and WOW…just I loved it, he was very good, portrayed the Phantom perfectly and I thought his singing was very good.

yes, # 30, he is entitled to live his own life, I agree. I still say he contributes to his own problems by making controversial and questionable or silly or titillating statements while professing to want privacy; by giving paparazzi the finger, not to mention evidently hitting one of them; by jetting around and partying constantly in places frequented by celebrities and paparazzi while claiming that he doesn’t party, etc. etc. Bigger stars than he manage to stay under the radar. They seem to have a grounded life, know who they are and what they are about and therefore so do we. Butler seems flaky , a constant puzzle. He gets a lot of media attention and seems as if he SEEKS it and WANTS it. If that’s the case, I say don’t whinge about it when you get the raw edge of it. He had to know the deal when he went into the biz. Mostly he gets interviewers who fawn and gush over him, true. Rarely does he get hard questions, true. But when he flips the bird at paparazzi it comes across as flipping at all of us, and when he is rude and crude to my fellow citizens, who helped make him rich and famous, I don’t think he’s “hilarious.” He gave an early impression of being a very big person after 300, so of course we expected a lot. Why shouldn’t we? He actually mentioned on TV an ambition to become governer of California and warned “Ah-nold” to watch out. Somehow I remember that because it seemed so bizarre. It probably was an impulsive, off-the-cuff joke, the kind Robin Williams could pull off without the lift of an eyebrow, but how does a newcomer to the country say stuff like that and not get a perplexed reaction? We the People deserve GB’s respect too if he wants ours. That said, I have to add that he seems more polite lately again after a phase in which his behavior seemed to get more and more bratty, adolescent, arrogant and wacky. It seemed as if fame and wealth went to his head. I don’t KNOW that. I go only by what I see in his interviews etc., not by rumours spread in comments on these sites, but the wide discrepancy in opinion about him just proves that this man does indeed provoke controversy and strong feelings for and against him. And yes, I say he bears some responsibility for that. Nobody created media hype about him from pure air. Either he or his publicists are stirring the pot all the time. I don’t think anyone who may still care about such things should get in too big of a dither. I know someone who is working on the set, primarily with Jamie Foxx, who says that if Gerry is with anyone right now, it’s probably not exclusive. He has gotten visits at least 3 times during filming from a woman who lives on the West coast. He also intimately pals around with another woman who is referred to as “Ana”. I don’t know if that’s her real name or if that is her Fangirl Protection Alias. Both women are described as being of mixed ethnicity although I’ve heard that “Ana” is definitively Latina.

#222: Yeah, since nobody knows who the women at this club actually were, especially the one he has apparently been making out with, this whole incident just became stranger with every changing of the blog. But it seems there are really several women in the picture who are probably all of the same “type”. That might also explain some of the inconsistencies. Maybe they all got mixed up. I guess if you don’t really know someone and have to tell from a month old picture if it’s a certain person it can be really difficult.

I guess this is probably not a very popular opinion with all the Kristi fans here, but to me she is a homewrecker. She dated and made out with him (and we still don’t know how the paps got wind of it) while he was actually still with Jasmine, who was really beautiful and discreet and didn’t deserve to be humiliated and hurt in such a way. But generally speaking, yes I do blame the women as well, because very often women simply don’t care if there’s someone else in the picture. We don’t know if Kristi actually asked him if he was single and he lied to her (which then bears the question why she would have stayed with a liar after she found out he had lied), or if he actually told her the truth and she didn’t care of if she didn’t even bother to ask. Either way, it is low. I stand by that. I mean, seriously, if I started dating someone and then found out he had lied to me about his current status and had used me to cheat on his then girlfriend, I would immediately dump that ********. Why? Because a) he’s a lying and cheating ******* and b) I could never trust him myself. I would always fear (and probably rightly so) that he would treat me the same way he had treated his previous girlfriend and cheat on me at the next best opportunity.

As for your chemistry remark, of course you are right about that. If it happens, you can’t help it. But even then there’s a decent way to deal with this, namely to FIRST properly end your previous relationship and THEN start dating the new woman. Of course he is to blame for that and not the new woman. But as I said, as the new woman, why on earth would you stay with a guy who cheated with you on his old girlfriend and probably even lied to you about it? Sorry, I don’t get that.

#253: Who says the “real girlfriend” was there with him that very night? Apparently she wasn’t there all the time, just “most” of the time. So if she really visited him a couple of times, it’s possible she wasn’t around. That’s actually the only way this whole story made sense at all. Girlfriend wasn’t there, so his people herded the girls together for him. Because if she had been there his people surely would have known that and not herded the girls. So, he goes to the club, girls are herded, and one of these girls is apparently a girl who he had already been with some weeks before at a Karaoke bar and who is a look-alike of Kristi. Possibly the second girl that was described as Italian looking might have been the Latina Ana. So it’s still possible that his “real girlfriend” is the visitor from the West Coast who might be Kristi because she lives in LA. Of course, this is all pure speculation, but to me this is the only scenario that puts all the pieces together. But, as #242 stated, who was the woman at the restaurant he had the “intense conversation” with? That question is still unaswered. Was it the Kristi look-alike, Ana or Kristi herself who had heard about the club story and confronted him with it?

lonewolf - Not questioning you, but how confident are you in your information that this is the “ana” mentioned in the philly blog? I ask because the info there was that ana is latina. This girl does not look at all like a latina. In fact, she very much looks black/asian, which makes me wonder if she is the girl from the club. Could just as easily been her as the girl from the arcade - they even look alike, although this girl is much prettier than the other.

the biggest thing was hair color…brunette. #291, one was described as Latina…the other multiracial (black and white) with not being up close and personal I dont know just going on the blogs and posts I read. Many saying there were both…..then it was said “they looked like either Latina or multiracial” but Ana’s name was definitely in the mix (not as a model though). More than Kristi. As for the line up who knows who all was in that one.

Kristi though is from Jersey (clarified in imdb and other blogs and Ana hails from NYC but apparently also was in Philly…thus the “mix”..then the “line up” and the Philly (filly) babe herself….. (all in one town!) so there was one right there in and from Philly along with 3x Kristi and Ana….. I cant remember the poster but I believe it was on a JJ site, anyway a lady at a LA bar that Gerry met was from Philly and she gave him her #…maybe this was the Philly girl….
