Gerard Butler is a Jumpsuit Gentleman

Victoria and Jilleroo - ITA this place is fun, addictive and a great way to waste time - but in a good way - LOL. In spite of the ones who come here to talk out of their *ss, I love to read the comments from the thoughtful and funny people. My theory is that Gerry attracts as fans those who are smart and who love to laugh - like him. And I enjoy reading the thoughts of people from all over the world.

Why is there so much fighting about who he is dating? I’m very sure there’s a lot more women in his life than the few that are named here that we simply don’t know about. The photographers don’t follow him 24/7. The women we do know about may have a more deeper relationship with him in turn than we know about, after all, they all have jobs to take care of, as we all have…and I’m sure not all the women can drop their jobs at a moments notice to join him. We will never, ever, know what’s going on behind the scenes, so why keep demanding PROOF, PROOF, PROOF!!!! Maybe he is dating Kristi, maybe he’s not. Maybe he’s dating someone completely unknown. Honestly…does it really matter??

I’m beginning to believe that some people are gripping a little too tight to this guy, taking it a wee bit too personally, and although he maybe a wonderful man, and I’m sure he is, he is still only an actor, a man just like many. And I’m sure he is enjoying the many ladies, or even a special lady, in his life whether it be either in front of camera or behind without the need to draw attention to it or make one single comment. I don’t even believe we are seeing the tip of the iceberg regarding his love-life anyway. Forget his personal life ladies, lets just enjoy the films.

Back at ya!!! Maybe you would like to re-read what I said, I didn’t actually say that anyone shouldn’t discuss or talk about the ‘forbidden’ personal life, but hoped it implied it could be a little less nasty and be taken a little less personally, and God forbid, be a little more open minded when talking about the girlfriends…afterall, everyone has the right to make a comment here. What I find truly sad is that any girl he is associated with has her character totally and utterly destroyed through no fault of their own, and they have no right to reply.

Now, as for his personal life, if he was caught in a lewd act with a goat or a sheep, and we could see pictures, hey, I would laugh my a$$ off.

But like I said, with the girlfriends, some people, wayyyy too tight!!!

He is so talented and hot!!!! Can’t wait for the new movie.

crikey, Victoria! I like you. I have a son who is a Bob Dylan fan! Has every album. My son is retro. I met Dylan when I was about 21. It amazed me that my son took to him so much, to the point where a Bob Dylan concert was in our town and my son stood in line when he was in high school to get two tickets, not knowing whom he could get to go with him, girl friend or boy buddy. Son said he was the only person under 40 in the line tor tickets. In the end he invited ME. We had a great time. I think he was a bit shocked at how old Dylan looked, but the great Dylan still turned in a performance. I guess I am a tad young to have appreciated Presley but I have since. He was a very nice man, I hear from people from knew him, just ruined by fame. Let’s get on GB not to let that happen to him. Kick his ass.
Incidentally, nobody asked, but my handle, jilleroo, is a term for an Australian cowgirl. An Australian cowboy is a jackeroo. This does not mean I am either Australian or a cowgirl. I try to hide my indentity, pick web handles the same way I pick names for my pets. The first name that pops into mind is the right one. instinctively. But I am a big fan of Hugh Jackman. He is superbly talented. The movie “Australia” was a disappointment, just a mishmashed transplanted western, but I can look at Hugh for three hours any day, doing anything, withor without clothes. He’s creeping up on Butler, neck and neck. Sexiest man alive, voted in. Modest too and committed to a wife and family. Straight arrow. How can you argue?

snoopy #93 and anon #94, I believe the comment deleted had to do with spreading hepatitis. It was strange, popped out of nowhere. It was not #66, which was my comment about a post I made that was not posted. I did not write anything of dubious legality. I am meticulous about that and pretty up on libel law.
The site has a right to reject posts for any reason I guess, but I repeated my rejected post at #75 in shorter form and it was printed. I am anticipating a big crackdown on the internet one day. We have the right to free speech but also responsibility not to libel and slander people. Lawyers are working on this even as we write our thoughts. This site is presumably about G. Butler and I tell you there has been stuff said about him that would never have gotten by me here or on other sites if I were editor because it is ugly, vicious and nasty and can’t be proved. The rules about public figures are a bit different from private citizens but there is a point where you have to stop.

@ Victoria # 76 and #90. I agree that GB is a doer. He overcame a lot and made risky choices that paid off. So far. That’s why I admire him even when I question some of his current behavior and hope he doesnt blow his success.
I was very close to someone 20 years older than I who knew
Elvis Presley pretty well and admired him and talked about him a lot. Elvis, according to him, was a nice, polite, sweet, kind, yes ma’am, no sir, gracious young American southern gentleman whose life got way out of his control when he became famous. It seems he got more and more into drugs because he couldnt handle the fame and all that went with it. And this was way before the internet and the prevalent paparazzai Elvis was married to a young sweetheart but that didn’t work out either. He became a public icon, public property if you will, controlled by others, owing gazillions to his managers and handlers, and didn’t know how to cope. He was not his own man any more. My friend watched him go downhill and felt it was tragic and unfair.

jilleroo, step away from the computer. I’m sure you are a nice person but you are rambling like a manic person. Maybe it is becoming addictive for you? No offense meant, seriously.
