Gerard Butler is a Jumpsuit Gentleman
Gerard Butler dons a gray jumpsuit as he films scenes for his new movie, Law Abiding Citizen, on Friday (February 27) on 19th & Market Street in downtown Philadelphia, Penn.
Law Abiding Citizen is a drama thriller about an everyday guy (Butler) who decides to take justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets his family’s killers free. His target: The district attorney who orchestrated the deal (Jamie Foxx).

Jilleroo and Mistress are more annoying
#124 oh, gosh I am sorry if I am annoying. I don’t find Victoria or Mistress annoying, or some others I have mentioned. I find them realistic and well grounded. Crikey, why am I still responding to this site? I don’t know. It started being about Gerard Butler and is now about US, the contributors. Which is okay. My position, which I have maintained from post one and stand by, is that I don’t hate Mr. Butler, he’s attractive, I’ve admired and respect his accomplishments, but I don’t worship him. He isn’t a GOD, he is an ACTOR. Which means he is ON for the public. And when people post comments about him, I’d like to read something substantiated by knowledge and fact, not wild rumours and love or hate mail. Women seem to think they are in love with him without knowing him, and others post ugly rumours . His life seems to be off kilter in some way compared with other actors who manage to have stable personal lives and avoid the paparazzi, so I think he contributes to his own problems, but who knows what the truth is? Who are we to judge? I am a skeptic and question everything. That’s my job.

you say he contributes to his own problems…..I think he is his own person, and it is people who are making it into problems..who has the rigth to tell him what to do, none of us .
why don`t we just enjoy his movies and let him live his life the way he want to live it..Don`t he deserve that…

I am just a big fan of Gerard.
yes, # 30, he is entitled to live his own life, I agree. I still say he contributes to his own problems by making controversial and questionable or silly or titillating statements while professing to want privacy; by giving paparazzi the finger, not to mention evidently hitting one of them; by jetting around and partying constantly in places frequented by celebrities and paparazzi while claiming that he doesn’t party, etc. etc. Bigger stars than he manage to stay under the radar. They seem to have a grounded life, know who they are and what they are about and therefore so do we. Butler seems flaky , a constant puzzle. He gets a lot of media attention and seems as if he SEEKS it and WANTS it. If that’s the case, I say don’t whinge about it when you get the raw edge of it. He had to know the deal when he went into the biz. Mostly he gets interviewers who fawn and gush over him, true. Rarely does he get hard questions, true. But when he flips the bird at paparazzi it comes across as flipping at all of us, and when he is rude and crude to my fellow citizens, who helped make him rich and famous, I don’t think he’s “hilarious.” He gave an early impression of being a very big person after 300, so of course we expected a lot. Why shouldn’t we? He actually mentioned on TV an ambition to become governer of California and warned “Ah-nold” to watch out. Somehow I remember that because it seemed so bizarre. It probably was an impulsive, off-the-cuff joke, the kind Robin Williams could pull off without the lift of an eyebrow, but how does a newcomer to the country say stuff like that and not get a perplexed reaction? We the People deserve GB’s respect too if he wants ours. That said, I have to add that he seems more polite lately again after a phase in which his behavior seemed to get more and more bratty, adolescent, arrogant and wacky. It seemed as if fame and wealth went to his head. I don’t KNOW that. I go only by what I see in his interviews etc., not by rumours spread in comments on these sites, but the wide discrepancy in opinion about him just proves that this man does indeed provoke controversy and strong feelings for and against him. And yes, I say he bears some responsibility for that. Nobody created media hype about him from pure air. Either he or his publicists are stirring the pot all the time. News and non-news about him keeps being recyled in different variations.
What’s the latest rumour about Ewan MacGregor, another Scot tish actor who seems to be regarded as one of the greatest actors of this century? Anybody know? Point made. In a longwinded way. Sorry ’bout that.

Maybe GB does what he does so that he stays relevant and on people’s radar screens in between his movies…and well, the chips will just fall where they may. But he can’t have it both ways- suppose can’t blame him (or anyone for trying)…(Just look at Wall St. lol.)
and his publicists would have a full time job managing his varying press- it’s a hydra….quash some bad snipplets on a couple of sites, and they just pop up somewhere else, day in day out…

It will pass, I beg to differ. It’s a chronic condition, but not diarrhea. it’s called GERRY BROKERING. Many of the new and uninitiated fall prey to it. Threads like these are rotten with it.
Jillaroo, although many people seem to disagree with you, I have to say that I’ve become your fan. I do think your posts are relevant and maybe the reason why some people got so annoyed with them is simply because you tried to portray Gerard Butler as a normal human being with qualities but also with flaws. All you did was to question some of his attitudes but I never felt that you are trying to depreciate him in any way. I am a fan of Gerard Butler, I do think he is a handsome man, a good actor and, oh gosh, wouldn’t it be perfect if he was just like his character in PS I love you? A loving and faithful husband with all his love to give to his wife even after death? My point is whenever you say something about the man, Gerard Butler, the one who is also liable to make mistakes you are actually attacking the imaginary of many women. And that’s why they get so angry at you. The Gerard Butler they dream with is the perfect one. And they simply won’t accept you saying the opposite.

I like Kristi too, but sorry Tamsin, not if Jennifer Aniston has anything to do with it. If they go ahead with their proposed film together I think Jennifer will smother him.

#140-you come across like you know her or know those who do know her. It takes 2 to get something going and input from her “side” isnt going to help. GB is a big boy and if things were going to happen they would have. Cmon! it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see GB isnt ready, PLUS if you read his most recent interview you will find out where his true thought s are and how he feels about relationsships. Wishin in one hand and “wanting” in the other isnt going to get you anywhere……when he (or anyone for that matter) is ready and comes forth then we can say they really look good together and mean it. Not come across like something out of a fantasy or someones wishful thinking.

That’s not it at all. If you have read earlier posts…there is no relevance to Jilleroo’s rants, really. Every human is flawed…duh, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. But, who cares and substantiates “Butler’s” behaviours being comparible to…Elvis ? it’s not even close and again, shows no relevance. I just hate when people base their opinions on people. He will live his life handsome, maybe flawed…but, who isn’t? And you shouldn’t compare other star’s misfortunes..they all have their own poison.

You reallllyyyy believe that when Gerry finds somebody he truly cares for that the fans will say ‘wow, they look good together’? They will do what they always do on sites like this….they will rip her apart. Who ever she is, I just hope she is strong enough to cope.
# 142 Did you ever think that Gerry thought the paps would follow HIM rather than her, like the paps normally do. As one of many people who have seen him at a few clubs over the last couple of years; he has a querky routine. He leaves the venue first, allowing the paps the ‘follow’ him, leaving the date to be either collected or to meet him at little later on. Its very sweet. This normally protects the identity of his date or companion for the night. With Kristi, I simply think the plan went wrong. Don’t be hating, put yourself in her place (mmmmm…), would you really do anything differently? I think SM was simply two nice people enjoying a date that was slightly spoiled by paps at the end. That’s life for him now!

#145-trying to think positive. And yes she will need to be 1 tough cookie…. #146-I heard that as well (and read it several times…..and agree with what read/heard.) Been on the SM boardwalk…quiet area most of the time. If it was Gerry’s doing, he would do it with all his dates…no, like I said I agree….Kristi had to have put a bug in someones ear….well, now she has it on video as a keepsake!

So many nasty people here. LoneWolf, I have always liked your opinion, but here….what a shame. But everyone has the right to believe gossip whether its true or NOT. How interesting it seems that EVERY woman he dates has an agenda….mmmmm, back to the fan-girl haters again discrediting. Maybe this time was different because he feels differently about this one.
# 145 This version could be just as true as others saying she blabbed. I hope it was as you say, the paps got wise and followed her instead of the usual following him. They looked liked they were having fun. I trust his judgement in what makes him happy, and if some people are saying that they’re still casually dating, then, hey, good for them. Enjoy.
#145 - After awhile this “I’ll pick you up down the street, while the paps take my picture alone” routine would get old….really fast ….for a woman. It doesn’t show much respect for the woman imo.
But, now if he is meeting young men (like it’s been posted) then his routine make sense.
