Ben Barnes Cast as Hamlet in ‘Ophelia’
Prince Caspian star Ben Barnes has been cast as Hamlet in Ophelia!
EW reports the movie will retell the story of the “tormented young Dane from the perspective of his long-suffering girlfriend.”
English actress Juno Temple (Atonement) is also set to play a “young woman slowly driven insane by an unavailable man.”
Director Dawn Shadforth, who has done music videos for Bjork and Oasis, will give the classic characters a modern twist à la Baz Luhrmann in Romeo + Juliet.

Dude, Cilliam Murphy, James Mcavoy , Liam Neeson and Johnny Deep are actors and they are real men and honest.
I think you refer to some actor are jerks, attention hungry and only think in make money but not all of them are like that, you can’t generalize. I cant imagine Ben as one of those actors. Wake up you, buddy

-Given that the “unavailable man” is being played by Ben Barnes, this is hitting waaaaaaay too close to home for me.
And RPatz actually does want to be taken seriously, he’s just making a horrible choice and get stoned and drunk to drown out the “EEEEEEEEE” sound the batcrazy twi-hards make whenever he’s in the same city as them. They make the same sound as that new noise maker that was recently created to drive away teenage shoplifters in malls, as well as mall rats in general. Only difference is that instead of the noise staying mute but annoying as hell, it gets louder.
