Bullies Locked Miley Cyrus Up In Bathroom

Miley Cyrus describes her pre-teen years as “friendless, lonely and miserable” in her new memoir, “Miley Cyrus: Miles To Go.” Here are some other excerpts of the book via Acccess Hollywood:

On the haters during her pre-teen Tennessee school days: “The girls took it beyond normal bullying. These were big, tough girls [known as] the Anti-Miley Club. I was scrawny and short. They were fully capable of doing me bodily harm… [They locked me in the girl’s restroom during class.] They shoved me in. I was trapped. I banged on the door until my fists hurt. Nobody came. I spent what felt like an hour in there, waiting for someone to rescue me, wondering how my life had gotten so messed up.”

On being challenged to a fight: “It seemed like Operation Make Miley Miserable was escalating to a new level. More like Operation Take Miley Down. Three girls strutted up and stood towering over me. My stomach churned. I clutched my grilled cheese sandwich like it was the hand of my best friend. It pretty much was my best friend those days. I was done for… They started cussing me and telling me to get up. I sat there, frozen. I didn’t know what to do. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore. I wasn’t chicken. What could they do to me? I was surrounded by people. I stood up, still a foot shorter then they were, and said, “What’s your problem? What did I ever do to you?’”

On ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas, who she refers to as Prince Charming in the book: [When I first met him,] it felt like the whole world stopped. Nothing else mattered. [The day we broke up was] the hardest day ever. Deep down I know we weren’t being our best selves. And that was what I wanted — and thought I deserved – in a relationship.

On writing the hit song “7 Things I Hate About You” for Nick: “[I wrote it to] punish him, to get him back for hurting me [but the song is] about forgiving, not forgetting. It’s hard to imagine that our love is a story with an end. But you know, at least I’m getting some really good songs out of it.”

Miley will be signing copies of her book at Barnes & Noble this Saturday (March 7) @ 12PM at The Grove at Farmers Market (189 Grove Drive, Los Angeles).

She sounds completely self-absorbed.

“Operation Make Miley Miserable”, “Operation Take Miley Down” - puh-leeze! Who talks like that?

In my opinion, I believe that miley has dramaticised the experience in her younger days. Whether you do or do not believe that she was bullied, it is apparent that she has sensationalised it.

It’s everyone’s individual opinion whether she was bullied at a young age; because ultimately, you have to take her word for it.

I think that readers have to be savvy in what they believe as the truth and what is exagerrated. There’s no use in arguing over whether or not she has been or has not been, because this is how miley has chosen to present herself in that light.

My advice to everyone who does read this thread or any on JJ for that matter should try to understand that these celebrities present themselves in a certain light, which ultimately gauges reactions from fans like yourselves. They are here to present an image to the public and you will never know their real personality. You can never be certain of the truth! =)

aww poor her. come on everyone’s bullied at some point and you have to suck it up and deal. i was bullied and i survived.

this is going to be the shortest “memoir” ever. what story does she have to tell? “I was a normal kid… and then I got famous! Yay me!” um what?

I like Miley Cyrus. I really do, but this bullying tale seems a little much. I’m not saying she’s lying, but maybe she embellished the story for the book.

I mean she’s Billy Ray Cyrus’s daughter! He was well known before Miley hit it big with Hannah Montanna. She was groomed for the stage and protected even as a child. I can’t imagine someone with Billy Ray’s status allowing her to be in that kind of situation.

But to give Miley the benefit of the doubt - maybe Billy Ray sent her to an ordinary public school (like her character in the show) - maybe Miley was specifically targeted by the mean kids because they knew who her father was and thought she was a spoiled, rich brat - maybe she was too afraid to tell him or anyone about the bullying.

If all that is possible, then it could be true and might’ve even been worse then what she revealed. But I rather doubt it.

This is pathetic. She’s SIXTEEN. I love how she refers to her “relationship” like she has any idea what a real relationship is. She hasn’t even lived enough life yet for it to be worth writing about.

You guys are kinda wicked to laugh and think that Miley is making this up. :/ I mean this kinda stuff happens alot and usually to the scrawny girls who show any promsie in their future. *cough* *cough* like miley did.
As far as the whole Nick relationship, is she supposed to ignore that she was in love with him and they went out for two years? Obviously, Nick cared about her to a certain extent. Heck, he was the one who wanted to meet and go out with her. So yeah, you guys never cease to fail in showing your intelligence.

PWNED.

hey to all u ppl that say that she faked being bullied prove it. u guys are really dumb if u dont like her y would u read the book and if u didnt y would u care so much to read this article?

I aboustly loved that booked I read it in one night! :)

aww thats sad!
i love her though <3

uh *maybe* she was bullied, but i doubt it.

as for the whole “artistic” image-bullying thing… she was a cheerleader in middle school. if you’re gonna shoot for the stereotypical “jocks rule the school, everyone else is lower on the hierarchy list” well, news flash… she was into a sport too.
im not meaning to belittle REAL artist’s problems in school- i can symphathize, i’m in choir and have no athletic talent whatsoever. but my point is that she’s not really an artist, per se, but a lucky girl with passable good looks and talent with a father WAY past his prime.

yeah she did go to “normal” school- but, uh, was your birth announced in people? i don’t think so.

also, if her video with her backup dancer making fun of fello disney “stars” demi and selena is anything to go by, then she’s not any better. THAT was bullying too. what a hypocrite :p

HAHA! how stupid does she think we are??! Okay, so let me get this straight she was like in 6th or 7th grade and she had quote “BIG” girls, coming up to her and “shoving and locking” her into bathroom stalls during class!? and known one would find her for hours!? HAHA yeah right! Duh like a teacher or couselor would stop that madness or leats notice if you were alwayd gone from class! this is bull **** and im sure they told her to get up in fight, Im sure Miley discribes it as “They were all around me screaming fight fight fight and I stood up for myself saying what’s your problem? HAH that sounds like came right out from Mean Girls puhhlesse! she’s just trying to get a pitty party or try to relate more to her fans! Oh and the grilled cheese part haha what did your publicist write that line “As I held on to my grilled cheese as it was my bff! GOD give me a break, miley was realisticly probably a snobby stuck brat who thought she owned the school, oh hey look what’s changed? Only now she thinks she rules the world! PATHETIC and this book Miles to go LAME!

really,.. who would’ve believe THAT.(i laughed the whole bullying part)

oh right, 9 years old would.

Is that girl 16 ? … ok ya, it’s a great time of life to put out memoir, that ***** is messed up

good for her

tinkerbell @ 03/05/2009 at 9:38 am

miley probable was a mean girl thinking she all that and ruled the school those bullies must of had a reason to bully her and the thing is she only got a bullyed until she wasin middle to 12 so she think her life is so miserable . your famouse now miley its your fault you didnt make right choices you love to take nasty pic and you say your a christian now you got punished with shame see what badness get you to.

poor Miley!!
she still in love with Nick, and he don’t mint to her…..

Biloxi2SF @ 03/05/2009 at 3:45 pm

Wow!! Who the heck let her out? The no talent hag should still be in the bathroom clutchin’ her grilled cheese sandwich. She could try to sing her way out, but really, her voice sounds like starving cats gargling razor blades. We should find those three bullies and give them another opportunity to make it right for the world by putting this useless media clown out of our misery.

Pfft. All of these little tween sensations have a version of the “I was so misunderstood and bullied and friendless” story. Miley, Taylor, Christina…oh please! Girls are as mean as pit vipers. I don’t think any girl makes it through school completely unscathed by bullying.

Superjules @ 03/05/2009 at 5:00 pm

Oh my! I almost gave a sh.it there. Almost.

This girl is so freaking stupid. She can’t sing live. She has no talent. Why is she famous? How old is she? 16? So her preteen years would be nine, ten? Oh yes. When we were all nine we were being bullied by big brawny nine year olds. The day she broke up with Nick was the hardest day of her life? Get over yourself, you egocentric untalented wannabe. I mean seriously.

Miley, the ugly *****, needs to go away already. And stop bitching about how lonely you are! Grow up–you seem to dress like that anyway.

where can i sign up for the anti-miley club? lol

How could she and Nick Jonas have been in “love” when they’re like five years old?? She is retarded.
