Reese Witherspoon graces the April 2009 cover of Elle. Here’s a snapshot of how the mag’s interview:
On her divorce from Ryan Phillippe: “Very humiliating and very isolating…But, by the way, if it’s not painful, maybe it wasn’t the right decision to marry to begin with. Those are the appropriate emotions. When people get in your face and say, ‘This will pass,’ you think, Are they crazy? I’m never gonna feel any better than I feel right this minute and nothing’s ever gonna make sense again. And I still have moments where I’m like, Nothings ever gonna make sense again.”
On boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal: “He’s fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy. Unfortunately, he’s not in the movie, so we can’t really talk about him.”
On being a young mother: “When I first had Ava, I couldn’t afford [help]. And it was so hard. I was out in Los Angeles, living [away from my family]. I really didn’t have any friends. And I had a baby. No one else who was 22 had a baby. I couldn’t go out.”
On her reported Type A personality: “I don’t think I’m a control freak. I think I’m just fearful. I operate from a lot of fear, like, of things being lost or forgotten or neglected. Losing the spiritual rather than the physical. It’s so funny to me that somehow I’ve been portrayed as a very, like, closed-off or uptight person. I’m very open.”

Oh, god, what a bunch of idiots posting here,
First, Reese doesn’t look in the cover nothing like in real life, too photoshopped.
Second, the woman, obviously hasn’t moved on if she is still talking about her divorce to promote her movie(look at Ryan, he is promoting Franklyn and doesn’t talk about his personal life to do that, it’s a movie), woman, move on, it happened 2 years ago.
Third, why doesn’t she wanna talk about Jake?, if they are really a couple and she is not hurt about Ryan anymore, I don’t understand why she wanna hyde her actual partner.
I think she just want to overshadow Ryan’, everytime there are news about him, be sure she’ll come up with some publicity about her, guys, she hasn’t moved on. Just using Jake for publicity,shame!
I feel sorry for jake, really. Such a nice guy and this b*tch is using him just to promote herself, look at his career, it almost finished since he hung out with her, hers is getting better and his has ended,man. Jake, go back to what you were before it’s too late, you still have potential,…….you made some good choices in the past,Donnie Darko, Brokeback M.,what has happened to you? Does she pick the movies for you,too?grow a pair.
I can’t believe this woman is still using her divorce to promote her movies, after 2 years,my god! Reese, learn from Ryan, he really keeps his life low key , he is promoting Franklyn in the UK and we haven’t heard a word from him about his divorce or ex,…..he is a real actor who doesn’t choose just commercial movies to sell and make lots of money from them, life is more than money and work, Reese.

She says in the whole interview she doesn’t have a shower every day and she doesn’t wear make up everyday,wholly s**t, how does jakey put it on her, it must stink!!!!!!!!!!Have a wash,woman, you need to get a full make over,wash your xoxo, get rid of the extentions, they must smell terrible after so long and get a nice clean haircut. Nice clothes and after that, you won’t need any photoshop and Jake will come closer to you more often,believe me.

The photographer did a good job with her, she doesn’t look nothing like in real life,look at the Oscars pics and compare,……..and the photoshp guy must be a genious to make her look like that,…I guess it took a lot of work, he deserves a payrise after this.

The Photoshop person that works for Elle should get an Oscar. They actually made her look almost attractive instead of her wicked witch sucking lemons face she usually has. Paul, you know why it does smell sooo bad? because nobody has used it since Ryan left, and he only did it whe he was really drunk, not very often,soo…..She needs to make use of it again,that’s all.

Wow, you are sooo right! If I was going out with a divorcee mother of 2, who only talks about his ex , it’s obvious that she does, even 2 years after her divorce, I would be really worried,……..the woman hasn’t moved on,she still dreams of Ryan and can’t stand the thought of him being with a much pprettier younger woman than her,read throug the lines in the interview. I think everything that she does,she does it thinking about him.Jake is just a puppet. Poor jake,when is he going to realise, he is still young,though,still lots to learn in life.

I used to go out with a divorcee father of one, who after a couple of years I realised was using me to make his ex-wife jealous, it took a while until I knew, because you know, when you are in love you are so blind, no matter how many people tells you, I’m glad I opened my eyes and learnt what an user he was,now I’m happily married.Jake seems too naive,I think it will take longer for him to realise.
Ginny, when did you actually meet Reese?Do you know her personnalyy, if not, you should be using the word “seems”, yeas, she seems a genuinely good person and gorgeous(I think you need an eye test,Ginny,….or maybe look at the paps pictures again, they are the only ones that show the truth about celeb looks, no make up artist, no stylist,…).Anyone would look like a million dollars if they had a stylist,heairdresser,etc.

Even the most ordinary woman can look 1000 times better than her if she had a makeover, have any of you seen the Avon adverts, my god! they are soooooooooo photoshopped, they should have got a younger better looking actress to do that, not her,…c’mon, she is too bl**dy old and ugly to do a make up advert. Avon products are really bad quality anyway, I don’t think the sales are increasing.They need to make better products, in the first place.
