Brad Pitt meets with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democratic Whip James Clyburn to discuss the “Make it Right” project on Thursday (March 5) in Washington, D.C.
The 45-year-old actor received their thanks for his rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. The MIR project, launched in 2007, helps to construct affordable and environmentally-sustainable housing for low-income residents of the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans who lost their homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
“I just want to say thank you to the speaker for opening up her doors for us to come in and discuss the rebuilding effort, the current rebuilding effort going on in New Orleans and how we can expand this idea of affordability and sustainability because we think we have a model that works,” Brad said.
Partner Angelina Jolie is in town filming her spy flick, Salt.

my god , would these narcisistic, self indulgent , publicity obsessed celebrities ever **** off and stop acting like they can make the slightest bit of difference in world issues. Its so laughable to even contemplate that they make any difference. All you need to do is look at the comments on this page to see that all this ‘raising awareness’ does is allow all you idiots another opportunity to ogle Pitt and see if u can see the shape of his willy in whatever trousers he is wearing or if he mentions Jolie or how wonderful it is to be a father to children who are raised predominantly by nannies. What does his ‘meetings’ do to impel all you people to do something real and tangible in Chad/Sudan ? Nothing. You’ll all go on with ur lives just the same. All it does is give Pitt another opportunity to exercise his already impressive ego and allow showbiz writers to include a paragraph on how wonderful and philanthropic he is. Utter rubbish !
Even the local news in my area announced this morning that Brad was meeting with Nancy Pelosi today, lol. Nothing Brad and Angelina do goes unnoticed. :)

Isn’t he supposed to take care of the kids while she is working? So what’s with all these meetings? Is he even in the same hotel as her? And i read that he spent most of his Wednesday with Steve Bing and he had dinner with group of people and again Angelina wasn’t there. I thought People’s magazine claimed Brad and Angelina had dinner together. But apparently Brad didn’t have dinner date with her. He had dinner date with other people. And Washington Post said Angie took the boys to musuem earlier this week , Wonder where was pitt at that time? Are they doing ANYTHING together nowadays other than being in the same town at the same time? Are they really still a couple or it is all for Public eyes? It seems they never get caught together nowadays and there is no report of them being at one place together at the same time. How weird?
