OlderBrad Pitt & Nancy Pelosi Make It Right
Brad Pitt meets with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democratic Whip James Clyburn to discuss the “Make it Right” project on Thursday (March 5) in Washington, D.C.
The 45-year-old actor received their thanks for his rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. The MIR project, launched in 2007, helps to construct affordable and environmentally-sustainable housing for low-income residents of the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans who lost their homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
“I just want to say thank you to the speaker for opening up her doors for us to come in and discuss the rebuilding effort, the current rebuilding effort going on in New Orleans and how we can expand this idea of affordability and sustainability because we think we have a model that works,” Brad said.
Partner Angelina Jolie is in town filming her spy flick, Salt.

They discussed his charity work going on here. Pitt founded the “Make it Right Foundation” in 2007 to help low-income residents rebuild homes that are environmentally friendly after Hurricane Katrina.
Pelosi and Pitt talked about how this is a model for the rest of the nation.

Wow wow wow. Haven’t had time to go through many comments but just wanna say
1. the clicks of the cameras were DEAFENING!! Sooooo many cameras clicking away. LOL Talk about BRAD PITT’s STAR POWER.
2. Way to go to put sustainable, affordable, green housing for the MASSES on the agenda.
3. Noted that Brad spoke for less than 30 seconds but the Speaker of the House and the other guy (sorry, didn’t catch his name) spoke for longer. No question if BRAD PITT wasn’t involved in MIR, Sustainable and affordable green housing for the masses, it wouldn’t be on all the news channels, all the gossip outlets. Now, at least, it’s on everyone’s radar. Whether people choose to explore it or not, at least there is awareness.
4. YAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I’m sooooooo enjoying the losie’s comments today. haven’t read many but those that I’ve read, its like a laugh a minute. You know the chinese - one of our best exports to the world of food is Sweet and Sour (and Salty too!!). Too sweet and its cloying. Love the sour notes that the losies are providing. Keep it up.
