Michelle Williams & Spike Jonze: Saturday Stroll

#50 - you do realize that Heath Ledger was an addict from his teenage years? It wasn’t “just an ugly period”, he was constantly on drugs for many years and few women could put up with that, especially with a small child in the home.

Michelle Williams is a very talented actress who has been through a very difficult time, both during her relationship with the father of her child, and afterwards. She certainly doesn’t deserve the appalling comments on this board and I wish her all the best.

Ivana, I agree with Ruth. I don’t think Michelle is too blame for “his” problems. Just because their relationship didn’t work out didn’t mean she didn’t care about him. Their relationship had just past its toll- they were both going in different directions career-wise.

In any case, I think heath’s death was just one of those situations where people needed to find someone to blame. Michelle was hit the hardest because she was the closest.

maybe michelle broke up with heath to see if he would change. maybe they still talked. maybe michelle blames herself for what happened to heath. maybe she feels like she gave up on him. maybe they would have gotten back together, they hadn’t been apart all that long and in hollywood anything is possible. i feel sorry for michelle being a true single mom. no woman has a child thinking they are going to have to do this totally alone weather with the father or not. i wish her the best and feel for her.

i do wonder if matilda gets to see heath’s family. they were here for the awards and there are no pictures of matilda with his family.
