Angelina Jolie Has a Bloody Knee — Ouch!
Blonde-wigged Angelina Jolie runs barefoot with a bloody knee on the set of her new spy flick, Salt, on Monday (March 9) in Washington, D.C.
No word on if the 33-year-old actress was really injured or if it’s a fake bruise/blood.
According to The Post, the NYPD are readying for their close-up with Angie. New York’s Finest will play themselves in Salt, and will march and play in a funeral scene to be shot the next two Saturdays along Fifth Avenue in Midtown.

Thanks to WWL-TV anchor Lee Zurik for another fine investigative story about the Nagin administration. According to Zurik’s investigation, the Nagin administration has millions in federal housing money that it is not spending.
The city could lose $11 million in federal funds if it does not spend those dollars on affordable housing projects by a May 31 deadline. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds have not been spent by the Nagin administration. It is so bad that HUD sent the city a letter demanding that the city utilize these funds or risk losing them. New Orleans Recovery Director Ed Blakely will ask for another extension, but HUD has already granted the city extra time and is not inclined to give New Orleans more time.
Of course this money could be extremely helpful in the recovery of New Orleans post-Katrina. Drive through any neighborhood in New Orleans and you will see houses that have not been repaired and empty lots. New Orleans probably has more affordable housing needs than any other city in the nation. It is a tragedy that the Nagin administration is not taking advantage of a housing program that is available for the city to utilize.
Every year, New Orleans receives approximately $6 million in federal funds for affordable housing projects. Zurik discovered that in the past fifteen years New Orleans had failed to spend $35 million in affordable housing funds. In fact, since Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans has not spent any affordable housing funds.
According to Blakely, the city has not allocated these funds because of a lack of available non-profits and contractors who were unable to spend the dollars. As usual, Blakely is making a fool of himself. This area has a plethora of qualified non-profit organizations and many capable contractors. If Blakely would spend less time traveling to Australia and more time on his job, then maybe he would understand the situation in New Orleans. ******In fact, Brad Pitt’s Make it Right Foundation is a great example of an organization that could have benefited from some of these squandered funds.
The trail of Nagin administration incompetence just continues and continues. The Nagin administration has been able to distract some of the citizens by injecting race into the discussion of every controversy. However, competence should not be based on race, but accomplishments in office. On that level, Nagin’s administration has very little to show to the people of New Orleans.
The City Council should step up and insist that these funds are used and that people of New Orleans receive the help that the federal government, with little to no help from Nagin and Blakely, is trying to provide.

I just watched Changeling and Jolie was awesome, a true master in her art. But what I want to point out is she worked on this film for less then two months and had not work since. Why are people so upset because she supposably is not at home with her kids. Wow to have a job that I only had to show up for two months and then have the rest of the year for my family would be fantastic! How can they say she is not home with her children?!!

Miley Cyrus insists she doesn’t have a “girl crush” on Angelina Jolie - but she does think the actress is attractive.
Speaking to American TV show Extra, the Hannah Montana star - who recently revealed she wrote her autobiography so that people could understand her - says she admires the Changeling beauty.
“I don’t have a girl crush on Angelina, but I definitely think she’s super beautiful and anyone that says she’s not pretty is lying to you because she is gorgeous,” Miley said.

Actor and activist George Clooney has already brought his plea for peace in Darfur to the White House. In separate meetings last month, he pressed both President Obama and Vice President Biden to resuscitate diplomatic efforts to end the atrocities and starvation in war-torn Sudan.
Now the 47-year-old actor is blogging about his experiences on a recent trip to the region. Arguing that “there’s nothing new to report,” Clooney says in his Daily Beast blog that not much has changed from his last trip. And, in a candid moment of confession, the Academy Award winner acknowledges that activists working in a 24/7 media echo chamber are always looking for fresh outrage.
“Finding a new outrage is the only way to catch the world’s attention,” he wrote. “You spend your time looking for (and even secretly hoping for) something or someone tragic to report. A good personal story to get the attention away from what dominates our days and nights. The economy. Iraq. Ponzi schemes. The Oscars.”
Clooney is not the only Hollywood figure to enjoy access to Washington’s political powers, or express interest in political causes. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were in town last week.
She was filming the movie “Salt,” about a CIA agent racing against the clock to disprove charges she is a Russian sleeper spy. And he was making the rounds on Capitol Hill for his charity, the Make It Right Foundation, which helps build environmentally-sustainable housing for Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans’ Ninth Ward.

For one, I didn’t know it supposedly happened in 2004, I thought it was more like 2002, and as far as the male hormone, I originally heard the rumor about her taking it on this blog by so many ppl, I thought at least that had a ring of truth to it. MY GAWD, we have x doing yet another inane interview about her nothing life……….I don’t get it……she has nothing to say, and what she does say is either banal or psycho babble dribble.
Why do people interview her?? There are so many more interesting people to interview, like real stars. She’s a celebrity, I get it, but this must really piss off the real artists who can’t get friggin’ arrested.

What I don’t get is that I used to lurk there and I SWEAR the entire reason the JP fans split into two threads was because some people HATED that kind of chatter and wanted to make one of the threads strictly a JP discussion thread with no “Hi!” and “Bye!” posts. So how come now both of them are back to being so much mindless drivel?

Of course, most of the posters I remember from the actual substantive thread back in the day seem to be gone now, so maybe that’s why the threads reverted back to idle chatter.
