Freida Pinto is Chanel Chic

The Bollywood crowd only like actors to look Afghani or white. They never hire Tamil and rarely Sri Lankans. They blame this self-loathing on the British but it is up to them to change. Watch Bollywood movies and you will see that most of the actors look nothing like the Indians, Frieda is closer to the real Indian woman that you see everyday.

well i really liked her before but I think I have a Freida overdose now. She is everywhere and it is getting so boring

I think she’s pretty. That’s it. Her role in Slumdog doesn’t exactly prove her acting chops so we’ll see how she does in her next movie. I do agree with some of the comments here that there has been too much of Frieda lately. Awards season’s over. Too much is not necessarily a good thing.

BTW i’m totally feeling the Chanel Dress. Fabulous.

Her looks are not typically what Indian audiences go for. They prefer voluptuous bodies and full faces. Her appeal definitely skews to westerners and she has a decent chance of scoring roles in big movies - especially international action films like Bond and Bourne and spy thrillers that are set on an international canvas.
And even though we don’t know her personally, I can guarantee that she is totally thrilled about being accepted in Hollywood and overseas. She doesn’t give a crap about Bollywood now because pretty much, a lot of Indian girls are crazy for American and non Indian stuff. I’m not saying all Indian girls so please don’t start writing angry responses - those of you who love Bollywood. !!!

no doubt she is pretty kinda reminds of eva longoria but the truth is she won’t last in hollywood she is kinda like the realitiy tv stars she is the in thing for minute then she will fade away

Freida can’t act she got lucky the first time lets see what happens with this movie dev on the other hand can act even the kids did a better job than she did

I like her a lot but it’s not normal than the REAL star who is only 18, younger, precocious, 10 times more talented and more visible in the movie is like seen 10 times less than Freida in the media.

It’s not normal and fair at all. Dev Patel is probably one of the most talented teen and true rising star right now, one of the most talented. He sdeserved to be recongnized as such and should have a more visible place in the media than the hot pretty young thing who plays third fiddle along him and the kids in an acclaimed movie.

I see most indian and indian girls are jealous of Freida pinto. In india people get famous if you have white skin and god father in film industry and ready sleep with all producers. So she may look like normal to their eye as indian culture is obsessed with fair skin , big boob beauties. So it is shock to them wonder why slim beauty is famous in the west. Sour grapes!.

Freida looks elegant in almost every dress. who cares she can act or not. She is looking good in dress and camera friendly. Go Freida!.

look i have no ill-will towards frieda i hope she does make it in hollywood it is nice to see indian on screen but i stand by what i say she needs acting skills otherwise she will fade away
