Brad Pitt & Patty Murray Make It Right
Brad Pitt meets with Washington Senator Patty Murray to discuss affordable and environmentally sustainable housing at a meeting in Senator Murray’s office in Washington D.C., on Thursday (March 5).
The 45-year-old actor/activist requested the meeting with Senator Murray, who chairs the Senate Housing Appropriations Subcommittee, to discuss his “Make It Right” project that constructs sustainable housing for low-income people living in New Orleans’ lower Ninth Ward.
Partner Angelina Jolie is also in town filming her spy flick, Salt.

If all he was looking for was media attention then wouldnt he just run around on a beach with no shirt on?? The man is trying to help people, what have you done for someone else? I hope there is a special place in hell for people like you. With Brads ingenuity and the faith of the NOLA peeps as well as their
strength of will and belief to continue helping this fine State that could become a tourist heaven a money factory if given the chance.
If you ever lived in NOLA or visited you never forget and always say i am coming back. Its that kind of place. Lets hope Brads hard work in trying to put this beautiful attraction spot back on the map jumps into gear ASAP.

So few people are willing to recognize the efforts of celebrities. It doesn’t matter if they are actors or athletes or whatever, the focus is often on their lifestyle or the ridiculous money they earn, not on how they spend it. Brad Pitt is one of many celebs who chooses to endeavor philanthropic pursuits regularly and people still criticize him relentlessly. I personally think it noble that he or anyone else in a similar position take the time, exert the effort, spend the money to help people who are less fortunate. I’m not a big Brad fan, there are other actors who’s films I enjoy far more than his. But that doesn’t matter, he is a good actor and he has been in good films, and that too doesn’t matter, what matters is he shows concern for people and things that need to be advocated for, and to me that’s pretty righteous.

Don’t know why the haters are in a snit about Brad being an actor and yet trying to do good. Also, so what if he does decide to run for public office (not that I’d think he would do it, that is so Clooney-esque)? IIRC, we did have a president who was even the head honcho of SAG, and made movies like Bedtime for Bonzo. If he was able to do it, why not Bradley?
