Brad Pitt & Patty Murray Make It Right

I guess he is still having a hard time convincing people that his project is a smart idea so he keeps trying to meet with people to push it. Probably because he has no brains and it’s not economical. Especially when he wants everyone ELSE to pay for “his” project. This half-wit who needs to stay out of politics.

Sass said digital fabrication could soon launch an entire new industry, creating jobs and a different approach to construction.

“It’s definitely on the horizon, in the same way the Web was coming along in the ’90s and everybody could see it,” Sass said. “The question is, how do the people of New Orleans embrace it and make it work for them?”

Bill Clinton joins Brad Pitt in New Orleans

Former President Bill Clinton joined Brad Pitt in New Orleans on Sunday to begin work on the actor’s Make It Right project, which aims to build 150 new affordable homes for Hurricane Katrina victims.

Wearing his signature newsboy cap, Pitt and Clinton toured the Lower 9th Ward where the new homes will be built as hundreds of volunteers helped clean and prepare the land, the Associated Press reports.

My thoughts on the Make it Right project :–
There is good that come out of these. 1st — People who were displaced will have a home. 2nd — there will be jobs created during construction.

Finally, once this neighborhood is put back together, this can be a POTENTIAL tourist stop for tourists, visiting the area planned with the world’s renowned architects. We all know tourists like to visit UNESCO world heritage sites. The same reasoning can apply here. Travel company can set up WALKING tours. Where can you find a place with all those houses, planned by world renowned architectects ALL IN ONE LOCATION ? And to see how eco-green features are applied, to learn about the history of pre and post Katrina. It could be very educational too.

With tourist bus bringing people to the neighborhood, there will be shops springing up to cater to the tourist, gift shops, restaurants, ice cream store, coffee shop, hotels, etc. Gift shops can sell post Katrina postcards, different houses blueprints, tote bags, MIR T shirts. Heck, they can even bottle those dirt or muds from the site and sell them. It’s all good for the local ECONOMY.

Tourism is big business !!!

Brad’s ideas are BRILLIANT !!! This is the man who has the foresights, the connection, the drive , and the heart. He has all my respect.

They always have Angelina walking in somewhere and “flipping out”. If anyone even casually followed Angelina throughout the years, she doesn’t flip out. It’s not a characteristic of hers. I think PT you need to do a tab report.

I really do hate how the tabs can never just do a “Brad Cheats!” story, it always has to be “Brad is driven to the edge by an out of control and irrational Angelina, and succumbs to the BAREST MINIMUM of human weakness and Angie refuses to listen to reason!” I swear to god, it’s like they try to go to the Tabloid 101 rules for what stories to write, but then have to revise the hell out of their formula so that Brad is always blameless. A little variety here, please?

And really, considering that Angelina tends to get the most crap for seeming “cold” and “distant”, why all the stories where she flies off the handle? Does she seem like a woman who has tantrums? Because from where I stand, the woman is on friendly terms with both her ex-husbands, and has never said a bad word about either, and even in all the craziness of her youth, I don’t remember stories of her being overwrought or having a quick temper. Tip for the tabloid writers, Angelina being withdrawn or gloomy will sell much better than Angelina the Tantrum Thrower.

This was avaliable on line months ago because I know I saw it months ago. It had been received by the IRS ahead of its requested extension date ( the tax forms are stamped “date received ” ) and I remember thinking the IRS was getting the 2007 foundation forms online faster than the 2006 forms.

I don’t remember if I posted what the JP Foundation tax return for 2007 listed or not but I do remember thinking that this donation from E! was a form of apology for breaking into ( by breaking a locked chain ) and trespassing onto the Jolie Pitt’s Los Feliz property. If you’ll recall the police were called and it was on film. It was the E film crew that trespassed and they did issue some apology at the time. Pitt was reportedly furious at this invasion at his home IIRC.

See the JP Foundation is a real news story - at least it’s factual with documents and everything - but it took all this time before any of these so called reporters even bothered to look for it. To the idiot who doesn’t get why Brad Pitt would be lobbying on behalf of the Make It Right Project AND the for the recovery of the City of New Orleans AND the Lower NInth Ward AND the future of energy efficient, environmentally and consumer friendly housing - Really? You really don’t get it? Brad Pitt said at the start that he hoped this project could be expanded and the lessons learned from this development be exported to other communities across the country. Enlisting the help and support of your government to foster and encourage ( through tax breaks, subsidies, other helpful legislation, etc. ) this type of housing and community development can make it right for many more people. Are you really this dense that this escapes you?

Jared, Patty Murray is on a number of pertinent Subcmmittees of the all powerful Senate Appropriations Committees: she is the Chair of the Transportation and Housing and Urban Development Subcomittee, she is also a member of the following Subcommittees of the same Appropriations Committee - Energy and Water Development Subcmte, Labor, Health and Human Services Subcmte, Financial Services and General Government Subcmte, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcmte. She is also a member of the Children and Families Subcommittee of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions of which she is Committee Chair.
All of these subcommittees can play an important role in developing and financing Make It Right projects in NOLA and elsewhere. She is obviously a pivotal player for Pitt’s issues.

I also noticed that Pitt visited an office building on K Street where an organization which deals with and develops energy efficient inventions is located.
