Pussycat Dolls: Jai Ho, Jimmy Fallon!
Nicole Scherzinger and the Pussycat Dolls arrive at the taping of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon at NBC Studios in Rockefeller Center on Tuesday (March 10).
Tune in TONIGHT to watch PCD perform their new single, “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”, the English remix of A.R. Rahman’s “Jai Ho,” the Oscar-winning track from Slumdog Millionaire. The Dolls recently shot a video for the track in Vienna with director Thomas Kloss (Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus). A.R. Rahman also appears in the video and on the new remix. Save the morality speeches about “sexualizing” traditional clothes. At least Nicole and the others are putting a spotlight on Indian things and promoting them as something cool and likeable. Can you actually imagine other celebs here doing that or even caring? Oh, and that’s clearly not a sari, just a shawl.
Whether or not it’s a sari doesn’t change that PCD are shitting on a song that was well-liked. Kay, seriously that’s like someone putting on a belly-top and hajab. It’s ******* with someone’s culture, if she wants to pretend she’s Indian she should at least do it right. Also with your “other celeb” crap, there are songs that promote other cultures. There was an entire Disney Channel movie — not that it was any good — Cheetah Girls one World and it was supposed to be promoting BollyWood films. I dont believe what they’re wearing..they’ve make the entire traditional attire look ******..i liked the vocals they did but the costumes were horrible and a disgrace to our culture..NO ONE wears an Indian blouse or saree in such a trashy way..i love PCD but i hate what they did with the costumes, fake modesty

I just don’t like how taking the outfit, an outfit worn for thousands of years by Indian women, an outfit that is a huge part of Indian culture is a disgrace.
Guys like her because she shakes her hips, and she’s sexy. Nicole as well as the other girls are gorgeous, don’t get me wrong, I just seriously HATED how they made the Indian outfits so provocative.
It’s one thing to have style, but what she did was not acceptable. Did you see her outfit for the actual video? Tell me that it wasn’t disgusting. Tell me that, if you are a woman, you weren’t embarrassed slightly.
