After a high-profile appearance at the Oscars together, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have split, sources close to the couple reveal.
“They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other,” a source tells People. “Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy.”
“He broke up with her when she got back from her European tour,” another source tells E! (she was there promoting her doggy flick Marley & Me).

For those claiming she’s been messed up since she divorced Brad, I’d give you this for consideration. She was messed up WAY before Brad. People don’t spend DECADES in therapy without them having some real ( or imagined) problems which cause considerable difficulties in their lives. The fact that she’s been in therapy over 20 years means she’s not learned how to handle her own problems. I’m thinking her primary problem is intimacy. I’m not talking about having sex, although who knows if she’s really getting some. I’m talking about emotional intimacy. Don’t tell me how beautiful she is and she can get any man she wants. That’s obviously is not true, but even beautiful women can be messed up. I think she’s attractive in her way, but a long way from beautiful.
The reason I don’t believe her divorce from Brad had the impact that people think is because I don’t believe that she even was THAT emotionally involved. By her own admission she has had a long history of having closeness with her own family. People who grow up in that type of atmosphere typically close themselves off emotionally. Whenever she talks about personal things she really don’t describe any emotions as personal; she talks in generalities.
I think she was devastated that Brad fell out of love with her because that meant that she was rejected. That is the thing that matters to her. His being in love with her was some type of validation of HERSELF. That may seem selfish, but that’s what people who have low self esteem are like. Needy. . That’s why she goes from one guy to the other. These relationship, some of which may have been just publicity stunts, won’t hurt her or her self image. She doesn’t want to be emotionally involved. She chooses guys that she really doesn’t have much in common with. Like Tate Donovan said, she liked fancy hotels and luxury and he liked Bed and Breakfast and liked to ride his motorcycle. I don’t really care if she is with Mayer or not. In the beginning i thought people were crazy thinking that any sane woman would manufacture relationships to keep herself relevant. “She didn’t want to face the glare of being unattached while Brad Pitt toted Angelina Jolie around (to promote his film, ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’),” a source revealed. “A friend of her agent was calling around asking for young men whom they could set her up with.”
The insider claims the search for an available Hollywood hunk came to an early end once Mayer reunited with the former “Friends” star and it was clear he’d be available for promo appearances. As for Mayer, he has a different take on his premiere night presence.

Brad was in his mid 30’s he wanted a family like his parents and siblings had, and he thought Jen wanted the same thing but she did not, when they married. There were problems from DAY 1 and both were in counseling. Jen said Brad was not the love of her life after they were married. Brad told Charlie Rose in 2004 that Jen did not understand him and he did not understand Jen. Jen said the marriage was over in the summer of 2004. They split, and if Jen had been a real woman she would have moved on with her life and found someone who wanted what she wanted. Instead for over 4 years now Jen and weak women like you have whined and whined and accepted no blame for the failure and the fact that some things are not meant to be.
Brad is more committed to Angie and their kids than he ever was to Jen, and that is a truth you refuse to accept. Brad and Jen were dunzo over 4 years ago, he left her and has not looked back, he is said by all who actually know him to be his happiest ever, even Oprah said this is true. Brad, a man of few words, tells the world he never wanted kids until one woman came into his life, his Angelina, Brad tells the world he fell in love making MAMS, that he loves Angelina more than anyone else in the world, that words can’t describe how much he loves his family and how much they mean to him.
