These arrangements are done all the time in the film business.

It seems like Dan is acting very contradictory - he wants privacy, and goes to celeb and pap haunts, while using a decoy? Actually, that would have made a good Comic Relief sketch, lol.
Dan was never the person to court celebrity, and he only went to public events if he was asked to present there or to promote a film. Now he suddenly appears at those places where people go to be seen, but that’s not how he got film roles in the first place, so why is he doing it now? He used to be interested in good scripts and playing multi-dimensional characters, and for instance, when he made Flashbacks, he knew it would not be a massive box office film, that wasn’t the intention of the film. He wasn’t into all that. Unless he was meeting somebody at the Ivy to talk about a film or play, I don’t know why he would go there. Or was it to show that he is back in London? But he never did this before.
He certainly doesn’t look happy, and he looks so tired and worn out - that man really needs a break!

Everyone is commenting on the contradiction of going to a known papped place and then using a decoy car. These two as a couple are one big contradiction. As usual, like DLU said, he is going to this place out of obligation, so he agrees to get papped at arrival but puts his foot down and refuses to get papped as they leave. Always having to make compromises. No wonder he is always looking miserable. I guess he got more than he bargained for when he took on Bond. Now that you’re mentioning it…you’re right. Gemma said in an interview that she and Dan had a lot of laughs filming the QoS scenes together, but there don’t seem to be any pics of the two other then set photos. And he always seemed rather uncomfortable around Olga - both said in interviews that they worked well together, but they don’t look at ease on pictures. If Sats is insecure, then Dan probably can’t be too friendly with his female co-stars.

That “sold out” comment is interesting. But I don’t see Bond as selling out. I have always loved the James Bond movies. And even though they have had their ups and downs, it is a real privilege to be chosen to be James Bond, and for a serious actor the chance to make the movies even better and more popular as Daniel has. Of course he hasn’t done it alone as he is lucky that EON productions has done all they could to make sure the films don’t come off as unrealistic or silly any more (think Timothy Dalton, he is actually a well trained Shakespearean actor, but the production of his Bond films didn’t suit his abilities). I just think now that Daniel has realized what is really involved in becoming a “celebrity” he is very uncomfortable with it and it doesn’t suit him at all. Hey, that’s pretty cool what the old vets say about Daniel and Timothy Dalton! I had heard for so many years that Timothy Dalton was the worst Bond ever, and only recently did I watch “Living Daylights” for the first time ever, and I thought it had been very underrated. I thought Dalton was rather good, and the story in general was pretty interesting, just thought the production (casting, directing, etc.) were a bit lackluster. I still have to watch “License to Kill” and see what I think of that one. Thanks for the story!

Daniel -in fact- doesn´t need much support or bodyguard (like is Satsuki) because Heike never did supporter and bodyguard for him and as you could see, he was happy, satisfied without some control, guard and non-stop support, Daniel only is accustomed with care by Satsuki and he must give her attention because she asks for it as she´s an ugly woman.

I personally hope that now that his agent has the information, they will force JJ to do a blackout on DC and Sats, possibly in exchange for not suing them for being in breach of their own term of use, so all these posters who post all their hate and racist crap night after night and day after day, can be stopped. If there is no further information posted by JJ, they will eventually go away and stop their campaign of hate and defamation against this woman.
