Jennifer Aniston: ‘Management’ Trailer!
Jennifer Aniston gets a massage in this new still from her upcoming Stephen Belber-directed romantic comedy, Management.
The 40-year-old actress plays Sue Claussen, a traveling saleswoman who sells cheap art to small companies and motels. Costar Steve Zahn takes on the role of an underachieving assistant motel manager.
Management, which also stars Woody Harrelson, opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, May 15th. Check out the trailer below!

The only actress who has consistently broken into this men’s club is Jolie, points out Anne Thompson, a film blogger and the former editor of the movie magazine Premiere. In hit movies like “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and the recent “Wanted,” audiences have accepted Jolie as a gun-toting, butt-kicking spitfire — a track record no other actress in history can claim, she says.
A few women — Sigourney Weaver in the “Alien” films, for example — have occasionally pulled this off, but only when the plots call for them to protect a child. Jolie, on the other hand, isn’t dependent on this story device. “I don’t think the culture was ready for this before,” Thompson says of Jolie’s action-heroine status. “It wasn’t able to accept women with guns.”
But this raises a question: Since not every film is an action pic, wouldn’t women be as important, as “bankable,” as men in other kinds of movies, such as romantic comedies? Don’t women, more so than men, flock to movies like “Sex and the City” and “Mamma Mia!”?
Yes, but the market for these films is far more limited than comic-book blockbusters like “The Dark Knight” and “Iron Man.” Romantic comedies tend not to open with the same box-office numbers as the latest action, sci-fi or horror movie, and don’t play as well outside the U.S. market. Romantic comedies also carry a dreaded label: “chick flick.”
But others are skeptical. Jolie seems to be a singular figure among actresses (does anyone see Reese Witherspoon or Kate Winslet becoming the next action hero?). What’s more, some of the most popular romantic comedies of recent vintage have thrust men into the lead roles, cutting further into the small territory that women have claimed for themselves. Movies such as “Wedding Crashers,” “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” and “Superbad” were about the romantic misadventures of men and teenage boys.
“It’s called the entertainment industry for a reason,” comments Aufderheide. “Hollywood isn’t in the business of social change. It’s not in the feminist industry. It’s in the business of maximizing its sales. . . . You don’t look to Hollywood to buck a tide or tradition.”
Brad was right to dump her. No common interest. Aniston couldn’t stand Pitt’s motorcycle obsession…or how much she despised his devotion and love of architecture. Jolie? She hops on a bike and goes riding with him. Architecture? She takes him on his birthday to see a Frank Lloyd Wright house he’d been meaning to see for donkey years. Gives him expensive cameras for his birthday to because he loves photography. Speaks highly of him in interviews and doesn’t continually dog him out by saying dumb stuff like he can’t get away with being the sexiest man alive at home. At home he’s, “Pick up your stuff, Brad. Shut the door, Brad.” I mean come on…a guy is only going to put up with that kind of harping for only so long and then he’s going to pack his Louis Vuittons and hit the door and never look back. Which is exactly what Pitt did. So when Fanistons start in Jolie “stealing” Pitt my standard response is, “No, she didn’t steal Brad. Aniston threw him away.”

Well, I can see why this movie bombed at the Toronto Film Festival last fall and why it took so long to find a distributor. That was pretty effing awful.

Why did you wear these awful wigs in the film? It seems as if you’re afraid to cut your hair and dye it a more darker color for the role. It looks like a funny film but it’s also another romantic comedy. It looks funny and it seems it’s going to have some touching moments but Jen please! I’m begging you as a fan to try something different. No one is asking you to play an Oscar baity role. It’s just that this is your third romantic comedy this year already.

Although this movie does look hilarious and I enjoy all three actors, people need to keep in mind if they are looking to see big boxoffice totals in the 80+ millions I highly doubt they will be pleased with what comes out. This movie is set for limited release and did not take a lot of money to make, so it will make a huge profit, but you won’t be able to tell that by just looking for the boxoffice total until the production budget comes out which they already said was very little, Either way it wil bring in most likely a major profit according to what money was invested in it.

I don’t think Jennifer is blatantly horrible as an actress but she really has issues with choosing her projects. There are far more horrible actresses out there.
I think she should sit down and realize what her career is about. I can understand doing certain films for the pay check but I think she should see the bigger picture. She should start doing roles with some depth. She can do it. I see some potential but I think she lacks self confidence.
I feel bad for her. Drew Barrymore is another Jennifer Aniston 10 years from now.

See this is what happens when you don’t take risks. She didn’t want to take a risk on herself and Brad as parents and she didn’t want to take a risk on her acting choices. Failure. Every time. Sad. (And no, I’m not a huge fan of Angelina but at least she lives life to the fullest. She took a risk on Brad and he appreciated it.)

This looks like a light hearted romantic comedy, just perfect for the times and the sad state of our country. I will see this one. I love Woody Harrelson.
Movie looks low budget. No photoshop budget for Jen’s fug face. No $56 grand for hair. No sexy wardrobe. But at least we get to see the real Jen. Plain, boring, mediocre actress.
Rachel Green is back! Feels like I’ve see this before, but unfortunately for her, this one’s not based on a best selling book and no offense to Steve Zahn or Woody Harrelson, but they don’t have Owen Wilson’s charm. I wouldn’t waste two hours of my time to watch this on cable. Life is too short and there are too many better movies to watch.
I like the looks of this movie. I can see me and my husband getting a laugh at this one. It is a romantic comedy that doesnt involve teenagers getting pregnant.

Friends was one long drawn out Rom-Com and that is where she learned her craft. But for years that was all she knew and now I guess she is afraid to step outside the box. But true Friends fans will alway look forward to her movies because Aniston is still Racheal and she is still their American Sweetheart. But I don’t care for herRom-Coms to much of Racheal Green still in the films.

Is this a joke? I cringed thru the entire trailer. Who would release this mess? She has as much screen presence as a wooden stick. I think her career, and I say that lightly, is ovah!! She has played on Rachel for so damn long it is embarrassing. C’mon, Jen, you promised you were moving to the boonies……after this movie, I suggest you call the movers stat.
Oh, poor Steve Zahn. I love him. The first 5 seconds seemed promising then it went downhill from there. He doesn’t deserve this turkey. Did anyone read the script before they signed on? Harrelson plays plain creepy again. What’s wrong with Jennifer’s face? Is this when she was getting filler done - it just looks puffy and weird.

She now has her own production company, so basically she could do whatever she wants. If she wanted to expand into another genre, she could. I think she is comfortable in this role and is afraid to venture out. I concur with an earlier poster, she needs to do something meaty, make herself look really bad on screen ~ that should be fun for an actor, I would think.

This was at Toronto last year and didn’t get picked up, except maybe in Iceland. Capitalizing on her two recent hits, so guess they got someone to distribute it. Usually if not picked up for almost a year (maybe more) it’s for a reason, like it sucks. the minivans will flock to it, I’m sure, and since it looks like it cost about $4 to make it will make money. Whait is this, 3 this year so far and still waiting for the Eckhardt movie. Overload, big time!
She should stick with what she is famous for….tv ensemble. She was given a free lunch (publicity and movie deals not offered to the other Friends cast members) after her marriage but has frittered it away on very cheap Rom-coms where she goes through the motions and lines but doesn’t really use any acting skills to deliver them (Marley and Me a fine example). She has become a typically Hollywood type…self absorbed and believes her own hype…the only real person in her life left her probably because her superficiality leads her to spends every waking moment catering to her own superficial needs such as taking a hairdresser with her everywhere even though she has had the same hairstyle for nigh on a century. Maybe taking some acting lessons would be a good start.
I want to see the movie and then comment. I want to give Jennifer Aniston the chance to surprise me. Maybe she will, maybe she won’t; but I won’t comment until I’ve seen the movie. As someone involved in the business, I don’t want to judge a movie by the trailer, because you can only say: Wow, that movie looks crappy; but after actually seeing it, you can say with a surety: Wow, that movie really sucked.
I did theatre for many years, then went into film; and it’s totally a different thing. I can’t compare TV to theatre, because I’ve done some tv as well. . . But what I’m trying to say that it’s not easy to make that transition, but as a professional you need to put a bit of effort on remembering why you decided to be an actress in the first place, and not to be yourself living a different life reading it on a script.
Some people have left some really great inputs here, some people have been insulting; but the audience likes your work, or doesn’t. It’s “gajes del oficio” right?
It is opening LIMITED, so many of you will not get to see it if it does not do well the first week.

Too bad she is so afraid of venturing out of her comfort zone, this rom com fame is for the young and she is not that any more. Same character in every film, no difference at all. Good actresses take chances, she does not, and that is why she is a mediocre one note performer. If you are a fan of hers take note, the rom com genre she sticks to is for the young. There are roles out there she should be seeking or producing but she dos not stick her neck out one bit.
Management, her other completed film, does not have a distributor at this time, very similar rom com to this.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show was a #1 hit with a phenomenally talented cast. So why did we not see the talented Ms. Moore evolve into a major film star (other than in “Ordinary People). Because tv is an entirely different animal, that’s why.
Anyone who is HONEST must admit that Aniston’s extended film career is due SOLELY to her marriage to Pitt. I see what she has been attempting all these years — a kind of Lucille Ball (absent the slapstick) kind of comedic persona. But she lacks a little thing called TALENT. Her range consists of the same facial expressions and gestures we’ve seen for years. (And that raspy-from-too-many-cigarettes-voice isn’t helping matters.)
But our long national nightmare shall soon be over. Now that she has hit the magic 4-0, movie execs will be miraculously jolted into reality (for a woman in Hollywood, that number is more powerful than kryptonite). The roles will become fewer, we will (if there is a God) stop seeing her naked on mens’ magazines, and she will eventually fade away into the obscurity she so richly deserves.

Actually, it was embarassing to watch that and to think that JA and her agents would want to have that released. Wanted was not a spy movie, Kung Fu Panda was not a spy movie, Changling was a drama, not a spy movie. Check your memory, you are having some serious deficits.
Angelina is an extremely versatile and gifted actress who has won an Oscar, several SAGS and GGs in both tv and movie drama roles. She is the highest paid actress in Hollywood and all that on top of having 6 kids, three of whom she gave birth to in the last 3 years, loving and supportive partner to her man Brad, and a world wide known humanitarian. Wow what a resume.
Even a rabid Jen fan should be able to face the truth that Jen has a very limited acting range. She has the time and money to to take some acting lessons so that Rachel Green is not seen in every rom co she has done for years. Tossing long highlighted $56,000 hair in every scene is getting old. Derailed was a good direction for her to take but when it failed she blamed everyone else but herself. Since then she has chickened out and retreated back to her safe zone. Her agent is getting her the type roles she feels safe in but that does not support longevity as she is getting older and there are many many hungrey young rom com types in Hollywood and studios like older men with younger co-stars. Her strength is in ensembles on tv and she now believes she is above that. The name Meg Ryan mean anything to you?

BTW, America’s sweetheart is now ReeseW who gets role after role after role and who has an Oscar for a drama.
This looks like a very cheap production. Guess that is why it will be in limited release.
If you actually look at her track record, you’ll be able to see she hasn’t been the main reason people go to see her films in the first place. She’s starred along actors that were likeable during their prime times including Jim Carey, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Owen Wilson. Movies in which JA is the central charater have proven to be failures at the box office. Just look at Derailed, Rumor has It, and Friends with Money. They were complete disasters from begining to end. No amount of nudity or explicit sexual content could’ve saved those films from sinking. The scripts were mediocre and her performances were atrocious. I cringe every time I see her attempt to act.
Being married to Brad Pitt DID boost her ‘career’ and put her on the A-list-because she was married to an A-lister. She is the only cast member out of the Friends crew that still manages to make the headlines. JA survives on the strategy that any news is good news in this industry. All she has to do is give a quote about her failed marriage or the person “responsible” and she’s back in the news and on every entertainment network.
She always uses her body and her personal misfortunes to help promote her films.

It has become pitifully obvious that this lady (and i use that term loosely) really can not act. This is what being the ex Mrs Pitt and great PR does for ya! Gets you all sorts of silly romcoms.
Shame her acting coaches (she actually does have one or two on set) aren’t telling her…or maybe they are and she is deaf, dumb and blind to their pleas?
Side note: Jennifer was supposed to play, ‘Monica’, on friends. They gave the part to CC after it became apparent she couldn’t pull if off. So she became Rachel Green. A role much more suited to her limited acting range.
Jennifer comes across as somebody who enjoys the perks of Hollywood; all the fame, luxury, glitz and glamour that come along with it.
If she were actually serious about her craft, she would pick better scripts and put more effort into her characters. The biggest change I’ve seen her do for a movie role is either cut her hair short or put it up in a ponytail.
Real actors who are passionate about their art go all out to bring life into the person they’re trying to portray and make the story seem believeable. You need people to be invested in the story when they go to a theatres and forget they’re watching actors role playing. A good movie draws you in and makes you actually want to listen to the dialogue and look forward to the next scene-not the ending credits. We’ve seen beautiful people like Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Demi Moore, and countless others, completely transform themselves for a role. They’ve shaven their hair off, lost weight, gained weight, went to mental institutions and prisons just to study behaviour traits and understand their character so they can serve justice to the story. You want your audience to leave the theatres feeling like they got their moneys worth-not feeling like they just got ripped off.
How do you expect to forget Rachel Green when Jennifer Aniston hasn’t done anything different.

I just have one question for all of the Jen fans who are so quick to state that the woman is not a fake.
How can you say that she is not publicity driven, when a few days after her dog, Norman, escaped (or, as my friends and I joke, bolted and attempted to commit suicide) and the paps found him and brought him back, she was then “seen” (read: photographed) “saving” (read, publicity stunt) another dog of her “former” (her words, Leno show) stylist, Chris McMillan?
