Nelstar Music: Nelly Furtado’s New Music Label

Nelly Furtado has launched her ownl music label Nelstar Music and will introduce Toronto-based electro-dance band Fritz Helder & The Phantoms as the first act signed to the company.

“I’ve been thinking about a way to help Fritz Helder for a while and this venture grew out of my love for the band, their art and their work ethic. I am as committed as they are to bringing their creativity to the world,” says Nelly.

You can check out the band’s music on their MySpace. They will help close out fashion week in Toronto on Saturday (March 21). Tickets can be purchased Automatt.net.

yeah i have to agree. there is so much better electronic based music nowadays and so many other ways to get your music heard. this is just super boring music with a semi-interesting haute couture blanket thrown over it. which is disappointing cause i like the dude’s voice.

i have seen them live, at least ten times. they are great performers and you leave their shows wanting more. can’t wait to hear their new cd in July!!
