I think she’s a down-to-earth and charming actress. Altho I was upset when she dumped Jake G… well that what I heard.

Uhhh…Plan B has been at Paramount since mid-2005. His former partner in Plan B, Brad Grey, is the prez at Paramount. When BG left the company Brad bought his share - giving him majority ownership in the company and when he kicked X to the curb he also kicked her out of Plan B and movied Plan B from Warner Brothers to Paramount.

I know nothing about the book but I think Brad is way too old to play in a romcom with Natalie Portman. I love them both but I just don’t see the pairing as a good one. Of course, the book could be about something totally different and not about them being lovers. Brad usually plays opposite women closer to his age (Cate, for instance). Anyway, I’ll wait to pass judgment. They are both good actors so the movie can’t be all that bad.

P.S.: Natalie is an orthodox Jew and would never have a non-Jew as a mate, even if it would be just for a fling.

I like the idea of Brad doing a romantic comic. Just think his last three movies have all been heavy dramas, CCoBB, Tree of Life, and IB. He probably feels like Angie did after doing AMH, and Changeling. She wanted to do something fun. So since she doesn’t do romantic comedies she did Wanted. For the nik pickers the order might be reverse, but the desire to do something fun was there.
Also Nathalie seems like a sensible young woman. She doesn’t seem like the type to go on a set and start some sh*t, just for the sake of starting drama. She isn’t a Paris, or Brittany type of person. My advice - don’t make any bets with DJ. I’m thinking about taking up a collection and sending her to Vegas because chances are - she’ll be run out of town by the mob…literally. I think people forget that Brad is not a one-man operation at Plan B. Brad is NOT intending to be the on-set producer of all these movies that Plan B is signing onto. DeDe Gardner and other underlings do that. Plus, they frequently partner with other companies (like with The Departed) and the on-set producer is someone from outside Plan B. I think Brad told Charlie Rose that he was acting more as a broker and trying to get movies made that interest him, but that he’s not necessarily right for as an actor - like the Le Carre novel that Plan B got the rights for last week. Variety said Plan B was producing that. They didn’t say Brad was going to be in it, too. And considering Brad’s struggles int he past with British accents…I can’t quite see him playing the lead in The Lost City of Z either. Brad listen to me - Get Daniel Day Lewis. Or Ralph Fiennes…

The idea of Natalie Portman & Brad Pitt making a movie together sounds great. Both of them are serious with their craft and are known to make good movies individually. I don’t mind seeing Brad in a romantic comedy for a change, to break the monotony of doing drama in succession. He just wanted maybe to show another side of him.

I also like Natalie. I find her beautiful although not really stunning. When she acts, she’s effective.
She seems a very smart & good person too. Her answers in her interviews are not the usual Hollywood celebs’ ramarks. We always learn something from her because she talks with sense just like Angelina Jolie. Angelina & Natalie are two of the very few celebs who gives honest & smart interviews. That’s why they can be good friends if there’s an opportunity. I could just imagine their conversations will never get dull & empty as they can talk anything, everything under the sun. As the saying goes, great minds talk about ideas.

Brad Pitt is very versatile.

This should be interesting. They both almost starred together in Almost Famous way back when. Brad Pitt originally had Billy Crudup’s role but dropped out cause he didn’t ‘get’ the character. I can’t remember if Natalie dropped out or if they chose Kate Hudson over her, but I thinks she also dropped out. I remember Cameron Crowe saying that he has a screen test with the two of them archived, and that the movie would have been very different if they had both taken the roles. So it will be cool to see what they are like together now!

yeah, but how do you know this will really happen? there’s no script, no director, there’s almost nothing. there is a long way to go yet before it becomes real, and brad pitt seems very hard working these days, perhaps he’ll drop out. so don’t be too excited. many things will be changing.
