Oprah on Ellen, Ellen on Oprah
Ellen DeGeneres announced on Thursday night (March 20) that she’ll finally get her wish and be on the cover of “O” Magazine.
For weeks the 51-year-old talk show host has been trying to get on the cover of Oprah’s magazine. She first broke the news on her twitter page saying “Oprah just asked me to be on the cover of “O” magazine!”
To make things official, Oprah made a guest appearance on Friday’s taping of the Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about “the fantastic idea.” The two talk show hosts continued by joking about what they’ll wear for the shoot.
“Maybe I’ll wear pants, too,” Oprah offered during the taping.
Ellen joked back saying, “They’re comfortable, Oprah.”

Nothing like sagging magazine sales to get Oprah to tone down the narcissism. If she wasn’t tired of seeing herself on the cover, I’m sure there were a lot of people who were. Oh, her weight has ballooned, so making this change to put others on the cover means she won’t have hundred of thousands of copies of her excess poundage ogled by the masses every month. Don’t think she hasn’t thought of that. That might seem harsh, but do you REALLY believe that Oprah had a change of heart for no reason?

I think it is wonderful and a very good thing that Oprah picked Ellen to be on her cover next. Ellen is a great talk show host and I will buy this copy of the magazine for the first time. Thanks for sharing Oprah.

Why does the audience scream like these two just solved world hunger. is it that important to these people that two celebrities will be on a magazine cover, can’t stand when I watch shows like Ellen, Oprah or John Stewart and the audiences behave like Pavlovian dogs with laughing and screaming like nut-jobs any time they say or do something, it’s so pathetic and a sad testament to our culture.
So true about the Oprah, Ellen, and Jon Stewart audiences, they all sound crazy as they scream and drool over their idols. What is the big deal for Ellen, that she wants so badly to be on the cover of O magazine? These people are always lusting after more and more publicity.
Okay, now the “great” O magainze will have TWO people on its cover who are completely full of themselves.
This story and video are completely adorable! And Shemp, Ellen is anything but full of herself. She’s actually quite humble. And Oprah is not a narcissist.

#18: This is just so.. wrong. Get your facts straight, before opening your uneducated month. Over 5 decades of research suggest that sexual orientation is NOT socially constructed. (Nope, it isn’t a contagious disease either). I don’t know about gays and poverty in your country but in the US, gay couples have more disposable income than their straight counterparts. (Again, check your facts before saying gays are poor and uneducated.. )

I love both of these women. Talented, beautiful and compassionate. Wonderful role models who show our young girls that you can achieve anything if you put your mind in to it.

it is so sad to see Ellen doing this… after the George Clooney thing…, why does she always use other people’s “star power” to make her famous….she can’t even give a good reason to Oprah why she wants to be on the cover…geesss…
