Gerard Butler is a Nude Law-Abiding Citizen

Clean-shaven Gerard Butler attends the Jameson Empire Magazine Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on Sunday (March 29) in London, England.

The 39-year-old Scottish stud has been filming his latest flick, Law Abiding Citizen, in Philidelphia with costar Jamie Foxx. Gerry filmed a nude scene on a closed set last week. He also brought a masseuse on set for the tired and sore crew members. What a nice guy!

@hangglider: Thanks for your post. Alot of people are feeling the same way. Check out the last 10-15 posts on thread dated April 10 2009 to see that he really does go for the kids. Sad, strange man!

BTW, what singer are you talking about in your post? Over 2000 posts, that’s amazing! We may soon have a book here as well.

#426 and 428
Sad and Strange - #426 so completely summed up my thoughts - whilst the jury is out I suppose unless you were to meet him - the acting seems to have gone and the desperate desire for ‘celebrity’ is all that is left - sad and strange and totally messed up. just was reading an article about Mickey Rourke - seems to be GB ten years further down the road - Very Very Sad

Seasider, I liked your post too. What surprised and dismayed me was how quickly Gerry Butler seemed to morph in the press from an interesting Scottish actor who wasn’t well known in America, to Hollywood hunk, stud, beefcake, hottie who seems to spend a lot of time at high profile celebrity parties and fashion shows etc. and get his picture taken everywhere. Yet there are still a lot of Americans who don’t know who he is! It’s as if this persona was almost manufactured overnight by the Hollywood PR machine from raw material!

Anoni, I responded to your question and I guess it didn’t get posted although I thought it did. Perhaps comments that don’t mention Butler get filtered out as irrelevant here. The singer and song I mentioned is a You Tube video of Steve Earle performing his 1980s hit “Copperhead Road.” Do you know it? It’s about moonshining, pot growing and other crimes in Tennessee, the Vietnam War and the poor life in the American South. A lot said with a few words and aggressive bluegrass/rock music. Southerners especially seem to love this song and many wrote in with stories about how their own families made moonshine and other aspects of Southern history.

Anoni, I replied to your question and thought my reply was posted but it seems not to have been. The singer and song I mentioned was Steve Earle and a You Tube performance of his 1980s hit song “Copperhead Road.” Do you know it? I didn’t, probably because in the Eighties I was living in a couple of places that weren’t big on country, didn’t even have a country radio station. If you don’t know it, it’s a very clever bluegrass/rock song about moonshining , pot growing, the Vietnam War, murder and the life of “poor white trash” in Tennessee. Few words but very amusing. It generated all these reminiscences from people about how their families made moonshine and other aspects of life in the American South.

Anoni, now my reply duplicated! Weird!

Popcorn, anyone? @ 04/24/2009 at 10:13 pm

@hangglider: I know that song - very catchy. Steve also sings ‘Galway Girl’. The song which Gerry performed in PSILY.

@hangglider: Thanks, twice!!!
No I’ve never heard that song but I will check it out.

@Popcorn, anyone?: Wow, I guess there really is such a thing as 6 degrees of separation!! LOL

hangglider @ 04/25/2009 at 6:10 pm

Popcorn and Anoni

I know that Earle wrote “Galway Girl,” which surprised me. I had assumed it was a traditional Irish song, not written by an American from Tennessee.! Shows how much I know about music! Someone who seems knowledgeable about the topic told me Earle lived in Ireland for awhile and wrote GG for an Irish musician, Sharon Shannon, after they appeared in a gig together. According to this source, Earle was quite smitten with Ms. Shannon. Hey, there’s gossip all over!

“Copperhead Road” is a terrific song and I think the two pieces have some resemblance to each other in their beat and sound but CH has a rebellious, outlaw character in both music and words that’s just pure fun. I first heard it in a local country bar I frequent and looked it up, had no idea at the time that Earle was the composer of GG too.

Just checking to see if all GB threads are now being monitored because some old b*tch can’t stand the truth. Welcome to tyranny folks

it’s only a matter of time before
someone,
somewhere,
with nothing to lose
has their own agenda
and doesn’t listen to his “don’t tell because of my career” or “don’t tell because the media will be after you” drivel.
he’ll get check mated on his own bullsh*t board.
wait for it.

@skeeter: I think it’s already happening on thread “GB thinks NYC is Neat”. Check it out. Some of his “girls” are getting braver and are calling him out..

KILLJESUS KILLJESUS KILLGERALDBUTLER KILLJESUS!

Anon, what does this mean?

“Just checking to see if all GB threads are now being monitored because some old b*tch can’t stand the truth. Welcome to tyranny folks”

I don’t get that. Don’t know what you are trying to say. I’m trying to make sense of this whole tangled thread.

hangglider @ 04/28/2009 at 4:55 pm

I have no clue what’s going on here. Anoni, if you come back, Steve Earle’s “Copperhead Rod” has passed 2,800 posts. I don’t know what some of them are worth, I haven’t checked. Too busy. But that is one great song. There is incredibly rich material out there on the Internet. I can’t be bothered with idle gossip. I neither worship nor hate Gerard Butler, wish him the best, on examination and watching “The Miracle Match” don’t think there is anything wrong with his mouth except an individual quirk, a crooked mouth that is actually appealing, just wonder if he is going to fulfill expectations or get lost in The Hollywoods. Why does everyone have to analize every body part he has? BTW, Hugh Jackman is way better looking. Whoo!

@Tana, #437, thanks I will. Sometimes i don’t go too far back with some of the older threads/pics…I will now. thx for the tip. we will stay tuned…

@hangglider: I did listen to Copperhead Road on You Tube. Good song. How cool is it that Steve uses a celtic intro to the song. He must have celtic blood running through his veins. I also listened to Galway Girl; that was GREAT. A lot better then Gerry’s version, IMO.

Don’t pay any attention to some of the recent posts that haven’t made any sense here. It seems people from other threads came here to stir up trouble. I think they have gone back, for now at least.

hangglider @ 04/29/2009 at 4:17 pm

Anoni, of course Earle has celtic blood. I think that’s why he went to Ireland soul searching. Read up on the history of the southern Appalachian mountains if you haven’t. In the 18th century there were mass immigrations to the American colonies of people from Scotland and Northern Ireland, most of whom went to what was then the English speaking frontier in the southern Appalachians, which became the states of Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, the Carolinas and Georgia. The Celts intermarried with the Cherokee and Creek and swapped music and dance with them and the African slaves. I believe this incredible ethnic mix gave us bluegrass music and rock n roll. Much of the music you have heard in movies and TV shows about pioneering days comes from this mix. The southeast had important Indian chiefs named William MacIntosh and Andrew McGillivray. I only recently learned some of this stuff. Steve Earle seems to incorporate all of his heritage in his music.

@Anon:

First off, poster #10 sounds like a troll. Secondly, REAL Scottish people have REAL accents, and that’s part of his sexiness. Also, he studied to be a lawyer, so he’s brilliant to boot! If you were to go to Scotland and listen to the people there, you’d realize that he has indeed worked on smoothing out his accent….A LOT! If you can’t understand him, then you’re not paying close enough attention. Yes, he spits when he talks sometimes and yes he’s a horrible singer, but you can’t fault him for sounding like where he grew up. No wonder foreign people always think Americans are snobs! I’m also wondering if Jen is fattening him up or maybe it’s for a movie role?

I think he looks sexy either way. He’s a very talented and seems like a very sweet guy! Luv u Gerry! ♥♥♥

These boots are absolutely comfy and can be fashionable if used with the right attire. The only bad thing is that they can be a little expensive. Totally say that you should buy them. They look good with dark wash jeans tucked into them. Be careful .These ugg boots are absolutely comfy and can be fashionable if used with the right attire. @Anon: uuuhhhh. Aidan Quinn is Irish not Scottish and he was born in Chicago.

Just saw LawAbidingCitizen, fun action movie !!! And yes he does look a lil puffy in the face. Killer body though, in the scene when he is totally naked (shot from his backside) and about to turn himself in to the cops. FYI: from behind you can see his huge sack between his thighs…… wow.
