I am starting to wonder if Tom and Katie tell Suri to cover her ears and hide her face when the paps are around. Suri is also too inconsistant with the ear covering as she does it at times and other times she doesn’t. The parents don’t discourage it. Also, Suri’s bangs are way down in her face. Perhaps they don’t want the press to catch on that Suri is older than they say or maybe they don’t want the press disceting which parent Suri actually looks like. Just a thought.

This seriously ticks me off. The kid looks so horrified, if you know the paps are gonna be there then don’t take her. If you need a bonding moment, make it somewhere where the child can feel secure. I like Katie, but the woman needs to think like a mother first. Suri should always come first!

Thanks for an intelligent post. ITA. People talk a lot about Brad/Angie pimping their kids. I think we can all count on two hands how many times we have seen their kids. Yes the craziness around them is unreal. No wonder we don’t see the Jolie-Pitt kids. AND I think it is even worst for them. I also agree with and earlier post. Sometimes Suri is bothered other time not. I think (JMO) that Brad/Angie try and prepare their kids for the onslaught. Their kids just kind of keep their heads down and don’t pay that much attention. But you would think that Suri would unfortunately be used to it. Katie and Tom have her out all the time.

And for the other celeb who have their kids out all the time, they don’t have a clue. The paps are not going insane to snap shots of them. They have a select few celebs who get the insane nuts. When they have 20-30 nuts screaming at them and their kids, then they will understand what celebs like Brad/Angie go through. No wonder we don’t see their kids a lot. I think considering who they are they do a great job keeping their kids out of the media. A few pics a few times a year could hardly be called pimping.

Katie has been taking Suri to this bakery for the past couple of weekends and Suri didn’t seem to be bothered by the paps. It appears that more and more paps have caught on to the fact that Katie&Suri go to that place every weekend and as a result Suri was more frightened than she was last weekend. I think it’s nice of katie to develop routines with her child: like taking her to the same bakery every Sunday after her art class. But the problem with celebrities having routines is that the paps catch on after a while. Hopefully, Katie will choose a different place next week or just stay home.

It must seem to them, at that age, that they have done something wrong.
And you can’t keep them in all the time either. There is no right or wrong answer, and the Cruises and other celebrity parents will have to judge that themselves. They do NOT need us judging their child and hating on her. Suri has NEVER personally hurt any of us. Let’s keep that in mind.

Yes, The mother brings the child into that scene, willingly, and is bypassing the fact that it causes Suri anxiety and she has to cover her ears and hide in order to cope with it. So Katie IS subjecting her to the paps despite the child’s protest. This is no longer an argument . It is about the protection of a 2 year old. Not whether someone likes them or not, or their clothes etc. People on this blog, myself included can’t understand how a mother’s priority isn’t on keeping the child out of that chaos. Unless it is something that they as parents have decided Suri will just have to get use to. And that is a whole other can of worms. And you have to accept the fact that this creates bad press every time Suri is photographed like this. And this blog is just a little taste of that. If the Cruise’s were truly smart, they’d let her grow up a little more so they can shield her from the bad press and snarky comments written about her. She is just a child and it is up to the parents to protect her, physically, mentally and emotionally. It’s hard to look at photos like this and people have a strong reaction to it. You’d think the parents would take more responsibility.
