As for Ashley, I will also give her the benefit of the doubt. I went to a b-day party for someone I hated because my boyfriend was obligated to attend the party. Being a good gf,I put aside my ego and my general dislike for person and went to the party. It’s too bad some of the people on here can’t understand what you are saying. I think having to “bite the bullet” is even more a necessity in Hollywood, meaning sometimes the celebrities have to do things they really prefer not to do. Ashley may have gotten roped into this Perez thing simply because she is getting ready to promote her new CD. Some people will not understand that and be angry but on the other hand these celebrities have to promote themselves. It is their JOB. It may be a foreign concept to us normal working class people but it is part of how they survive in their type world. It is the name of the game.

Plus, I can see Zac sending that bottle of champagne—and it is not because he likes the guy or what he says. It’s more of a “in your face” type thing or “say what you like” you are not getting some rude reply from me to get more attention or so you can come up with some other nasty things to say. To me, it is always Zac who looks like the better person as everyone knows Perez’s only motive is to get attention and become more famous and live off other people since he has no real talent. Some people just like nastiness. Think about it, IF Zac actually tried to stop Perez’s words then Perez would only get more attention and make Zac look petty or like he can’t take the heat. I think we make this a big deal when it shouldn’t be. Obviously Vanessa does not lose sleep over Perez and what he writes so I don’t get why we should give him attention. He’s highly overrated and is celebrated only in the tabloid blogs (E!, LA dishrag etc). He doesn’t matter in the industry and I find it’s tween populated blogs that rate him highly. He does not matter where it really counts.

I think both Zac and Vanessa are aware of this and surely do not take him seriously. What does it cost to send a bottle of champagne to an attention seeking blogger who has a crush on you? nothing!
Zac could easily do the same for a fan. It’s probably his publicist or assistant that sent it. I’m sure Zac couldn’t say what brand of Champagne that was. He can afford to be gracious without it costing him anything. I don’t see what else he could do without coming across as petty.
Vanessa for sure, knew about this but couldn’t care less as we can see from the KCA and Beso pics. She’s out having a good time with her boyfriend and close friends after winning an award for favorite movie actress.

In my opinion, for either of them to address PH’s hate on Vanessa is to say that his barbs are hitting home. I personally don’t want them to give him that attention or satisfaction. He’s not worth it. You don’t see any established or respected actor calling out bloggers that attack their partners or that attack them. They don’t give them the time of day. That would be descending too low and not classy.
The way they pretend they don’t know about it while Zac can be condescending to him is the classy way to deal with him. The implication is that his opinion does not mean anything to them, they can afford to ignore it.

The stupid fool is blubbering while Zac is spending time with those he really wants to be with, the message is clear, he is like the clamoring peasant you brush off with a little gift to keep him happy while you go about your business with those on your level that you really care about, so I don’t really get why it’s an issue.

Zac and Vanessa are not reality stars, they don’t need Perez. In fact, he’s played all his cards with Vanessa and he hasn’t affected her standing in the industry or ability to win awards.
Whether he keeps on abusing her or stops would not change anything about her career prospects or her personal life. To them, he is just a random blogger who has a crush on Zac, it’s only polite for Zac to send him a bottle on his birthday especially as I’m sure he was invited.

This is a situation where lack of class is being responded to with class and the difference couldn’t be clearer.

BTW, the fact that he completely missed the impersonal sarcasm and disdain in that note is a tribute to his IQ.

I don’t know “the truth” about Vanessa but she can’t be all bad since non-paid gossip bloggers talk about her publicly without provocation about how sweet and considerate she is. Unless you’re saying that V and Z’s PR people are now paying V’s former co-workers to talk about her?

She’s become friends and made long lasting friendships with not only her own co-workers but Zac’s co-workers that last beyond the actual project. I think it’s really cool that she’s made good friendships with Brittany and Amanda even though Hairspray filmed how many years ago, 2+ years ago? How often does that happen in this industry among young women?

At a time when a lot of other 19-22 year old young actresses are and usually do spend their time cutting each other down, starting public PR wars, stealing each other’s rotating boyfriends and generally being competitive at every level of their public lives, there’s this small group of young women Brittany, Vanessa, Jessica, etc. They have every reason to be catty witches with each other. Instead they support each other, they hang out beyond the red carpet, they do silly normal stuff together, they hug each other and support each other when they think the cameras aren’t looking and what not even though they’re all competing for the same work and place in the PR food chain.

These women should be applauded for that because it’s rare to see any group of 19-20 year old women act like that but to see these actresses be like that with each other is wonderful. After the years of Lindsay/Hilary/Paris/Nicole/etc PR feuding and wars this is really refreshing.

Plus I’ll always have a lot of love for her simply because of her work with Best Buddies. It’s such an awesome, underrated program and that she’s lending her name and efforts to get the program publicity and funding is much appreciated.

I think alot of people are just jealous of Zac and Vanessa and that they are in a REAL relationship and really care about each other. Zac’s PR people would neer pay someone to say bad things about Vanessa. He would fire them if it was true. He stands bu her like she does him.

tizzfan–I doubt V would go even if she could. Kiss is 21 and up and she went there to hang with Zac, Brittany and her bf, and Jessica last night. It seems Vanessa made a choice to react in a certain way to Perez a few years ago and she’s been consistent with it ever since. She lets others in her life make their own choices in how to react to Perez.

Vanessa would end up cutting out everyone in her life but possibly her parents, sister and agent/manager if she chose to cut ties with everyone who praised Perez or went to his PR-ego boosting events. Ashley, Brittany, Amanda and Jessica were all at Perez’s party last night. Zac is definitely on a kiss-Perez’s behind tear these days, for whatever reason.

I think it speaks to her maturity that she doesn’t throw down ultimatums or demands that others that she cares about in her life react to Perez in the way that she’s chosen to. It’s a very healthy attitude to have in general but definitely in this business. As a fan of hers, it’s disappointing to see those in her life not have her back in that regard but that’s not on Vanessa or a reflection on her but on those who choose to ignore Perez’s blatant disrespect and targeting of V for some good Perez-PR.

have never read comments that have this much hatred. Gracemarie,
I also reported posts #87,88,89 but I guess slander isn’t enough to
remove those posts. This was suppose to be such a happy day for
Van and HSM and I can’t believe how it turned out. I don’t know if they are jealous of her success or just because Zac’s her BF.
Also, I know Karen is one of the original ZV supporters but I kinda
agree that with Zac giving PH the gift is kissing up. I do read his
blog and I do have a sense of humour but he does go to far with
the Vanessa bashing. I just think ignoring him as they have in the past was a better way to go, but maybe PH has more power than I
thought and in that case I guess Vanessa better send her kissing
up apology and jump on the band wagon with the others so he’ll
stop bashing her. I guess you have to do whatever it takes to help
your career. But in the end PH has the last laugh cause he’ll end

Entertainment Weekly reports that Emily Browning (The Uninvited, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) will replace Amanda Seyfried in director Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Seyfried was set to play the lead role of Babydoll, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with the fourth season of HBO’s “Big Love.” In the film, Babydoll is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.

Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone co-star. Sucker Punch is scheduled for an October 8, 2010 release.

BTW, the fans who have been around these boards and have been vocal since Zac and Vanessa hit it big have encountered such people as the #87, #88, #89 poster more than once. Early on there were people like this all the time throwing horrible things at Vanessa and Zac. We steadfast fans were at war everyday and it was horrible. Desiree and zac is a rat would have been laughed off the board at that time because some were so horrendous—acutually desiree and rodent ARE laughed at and never taken seriously by the fans who have been around for a long time. They are just a nuisance, not some kind of threat. They know that is all they can hope for.

However, they don’t seem to have a problem with it so why must we make so much of it? Doesn’t anyone thing that is only going to set Perez off more into his praise of Ashley and then dump that much more on Vanessa? The quickest way to stop Perez’s ranting on Vanessa or Zac or anyone you might like is to STOP making comments that will tell Perez he is hitting a nerve with that celebrity’s fans. He is only going to do it more if he realizes it is angering people. He doesn’t care how he gets attention, just as long as he gets it. So, people should stop griping about what he writes about Vanessa and quick beating up on Zac’s lack of fighting with him and let Perez be what he actually is, a nobody. The fights that he causes among the fans is what makes him “famous”.

gracemarie, I completely agree with your post on #156. I have always felt that prejudice has been an ugly part of the hater’s posts. It’s very sad. As an original Angel here, I’ve seen it for a long time. It breaks my heart, really.

I think what bothers me somewhat about the Perez situation is, how he has a hold on some celebs, who truly fear his backlash, and pander to him. I just think it’s cowardly. But I think Karen’s “don’t let him see you sweat” idea is probably true as well. One of these days, I’d love to see someone just put the jerk in his place.

Warner Bros. has tapped Australian thesp Emily Browning (”The Uninvited”) for the lead in Zack Snyder’s fantasy-drama “Sucker Punch.”

Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Stone and Evan Rachel Wood also star. Browning’s previous credits include “Ned Kelly” and “Lemony Snicket.”

Snyder will direct and produce with his wife and producing partner, Debra Snyder, through their Cruel and Unusual Films banner. Wesley Coller is exec producing.

THanks so much I have to admit I am not use to such cruelty and so my reaction was anger and offense. You are probably right and even being around the business with my husband (who thinks your quite brilliant by the way) I am still shocked by such behavior.

My husband says I’ve always been easily hurt for other people I guess he’s right - my students would agree. He never reads the boards but I copy stuff and show him it makes him laugh often and some posters he thinks write very well and relives pressure.

For your info, Karen, Go Sox, Narf, Troy, V-loyalist, Kgg,Steph and Robin were part of the original Angels. Troy was known as Charlie. They formed an alliance or is it allegience on JJ and called themselves Zanessa Angels.

Then along came Audrey, Ellie and Ayen who set up Zaangels. I’m a 2nd generation Angel. And then came others. Things changed, some people moved on. VABN was established much earlier to cater to the Disney princesses(correct me if I’m wrong).

Now we have TeamHudgens made up of mainly mature fans dedicated to Vanessa. Hope I’ve given you a gist of the evolution of Vanessa’s fans. Those days we had to battle alot of immature posters. Nowadays, I’m so glad to note that the threads are filled with wisdom, maturity,educational and knowledgeable tidbits and are of a higher calibre, altogether.

I lurk on VABN and Team Hudgens and love the maturity of both sites. I am not a big fan of ZaAngles as everytime I’ve gone there there was a anti Vanessa feel I got from the moderators well at least Audrey. Or should I say a feeling that they tolerated Vanessa but Zac was all that mattered

Anyway they now have separate boards I hear so the whole purpose of the site really doesn’t exist anymore. It’s not a Zanessa site anymore. I’m sad that became necessary.

Yes, gracemarie, the ZA thing is very sad since it stood for Zanessa’s Angels. So Vanessa was very much a part of that site—or was suppose to be, hence the name zaNESSA. To me, if the want to be a Zac site, so be it, but they really should chance the name to maybe Zac’s Angels. But the young woman who ORIGINALLY conceceived the idea was a big Zanessa fan and posted on JJ for quite a time. However, I’m not sure that she has much say in that site anymore.

As I sit here a hundred shades of crimson, I can ASSURE you and your husband that I am not brilliant and I can offer proof by suppying names from this very board who will attest to that fact. LOL But I do raise a lot of peopl’s ire on JJ for whatever reason. Over the years I just have listened and watched people with what they say and how they respond in certain situations. I find that many people will respond certain ways in certain situations. I’m kind of opened with myself. I have accepted when I am jealous or why I’m uncomfortable in certain situation—kind of laid myself bear even if it was hurtful to find the whys and the wherefores. I had a great need for KNOWING. Of course I find I have a lot of questions too with each passing day. For a long time I have examined things like that and learned to go on gut instinct also. I don’t think people’s natures are all that different. We are complicated to a degree but like a movie there are only going to be just so many plots and only so many reasons a person is driven to their actions and thoughts. That’s where I’m coming from and how I derive my opinions, etc.

Karen, I haven’t forgotten. You were the Wise One and still am in my book. Your compassion, your profession and your beliefs stood you in good stead. Granted there are others more eloquent but don’t belittle yourself. You provided comfort and hope and compassion to alot of tweenies and teenies out there who look up to you.

I was more taken with your indepth biblical knowledge. The other person who I also admire is Malia who is one helluva writer. She wrote some profound and insightful yet witty articles.

wow i must say I am APPALLED by the responses and hate I have seen you lot giving Ashley. she is a wonderful girl and just because Perez bashes on Vanessa is absolutly NO reason for her to not attend. Perez has never been mean to her and ashley is a VERY nice girl hence why she is nice to him. She is nice to everuyone. I met ashley and shes the sweetest person you could ever hope t meet and shes not just out for herself. she is not that type of person and you dont know her so stop insulting her for no reason at all. I just want to take a moment and thank Karen,Boji,Malia,go sox and every other zac/vanessa fan who has made this site such a wonderful place to come to. Your comments are truly wonderful and inspiring.Before I would come here I never admitted that I was a fan, I was always ashamed of whta my firends would think of me, but you showed me that it doesn’t matter what age,country, or religion you are and that it’s nothing to be ashamed of. I love how despite how many haters come here and whine,complain,spread rumors,or say anything disrespectful toward zac or vanessa or even to you you always brush them off and continue spreading postiveness. I was surprised to see pictures of Ashley coming out of a Bar in Hollywood last night with Samantha Drok, but she is moving on. I am just hoping and praying she was not drinking and then driving because the pictures did show she was the driver (designated I hope).
