Malawi needs to wake up. You guys have an AIDS epidemic and 2 million orphans. Do you really think that people, even Madonna has business obligations, can live in your country for 18months. Let’s get REAL. 6 months maximum.
I am sure Madonna can adopt another orphan..with no family and HELL SHE CAN EVEN ADOPT FROM DETROIT..it’s a FREE country!
Also 17,000 kids are adopted from overseas by Americans..only 2700 from AFRICA. If you are HIV+ you are a DENIED a Visa in the USA. THAT”S NOT RIGHT..ITS AN EPIDEMIC going on.
i am so glad!!!! She can go and adopt in America and stop trying to copy off Angelina Jolie… Angelina you tell is genuine, she goes over there and lives among these Africans and i applaud her. madonna can fuc8 off!!
If she really wants the child then she needs to abide by the laws. For all the opinions and judgements its funny no one asked the glaring question…
Madonna was well aware of the strict adoption laws of Malawi, why then would she purposely go about trying to circumvent them. She is just reaffirming the sterio type that most 3rd world countries have. That the rich think they can buy anything. Yes Malawi has a high rate of AIDS, orphans, poverty and illiteracy. But does that mean that they have sell their children because some rich Westerner wants to prove how good they are and how much they can care. Malawi is just one of the countries, fighting to keep their children in their birth countries. We would feel the same if Europeans, Asians or South Americans were adopting and collecting our children with out even giving a remote interest in our country. Don’t get me wrong helping one child is a great thing, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, David, Connor, Isabelle are better off now then they would have been had they been left in their orphanages. But what about the millions left behind? Do people just get to swoop in and out snagging children because they can afford it? To be fair Madonna, the Jolie-Pitts, Bono and Oprah and others have pumped a lot of money into these countries but that doesn’t give rights.

I’m glad Madonna lost the adoption bid. Now that girl can grow up like a normal African child. Now, like all her friends, she too can get raped by the age of 7, end up pregnant by the age of 12 and die of AIDS or TB before her 18th birthday. **** off back to America, you white *****!
