Zac Efron: ShoWest? ShoSexy!
Zac Efron shows off his shiny new statue — the Breakthrough Performer of the Year Award — at the ShoWest awards ceremony at the Paris Las Vegas on Thursday (April 2) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At the event, the 21-year-old actor told EW why he turned down the role of Ren McCormack in Footloose. He shared, “I’m sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That’s what’s always going to appeal to me: the unknown.”

Everytime Zac has been more than 100 yards away from Vanessa someone is coming up with some cheating rumor about him with the female who is standing the closest to him! Do you think this young man who has been in a long-term relationship suddenly beds a girl within the first hour he meets her just because he is part of the Hollywood framework? You are ridiculous and if you can’t see that then there is no hope. The Japanese site put this on there because it was circulating but it also was denied by the subject’s own management people.
And WHY should it be taken seriously? The very same lie was started about a girl who merely won a contest to get to meet Zac while he was in Australia. Then came the rumor about Taylor Swift. Then we have the one with this Harry Potter girl, Bonnie Wright! Are you really going to believe all that malarky? What would be the sense of it all? One day he is with this girl and the next it is with someone else and yet the next day he is home with his girlfriend. People make it sound like it is his job to be with other girls! BUT if you’d use your brain it is very clear that all of this is to cause a media stir and get gossip started so the gossip mongers have something to try to sell! And this tactic is far from new. Yet, with all the tabloids following Mr. Efron’s every move in Australia and London, only one—Wenn News—was daring enough to come up with an earth-shaking, career-destroying, scandalous story: Mr. Efron was seen talking to a British actress in a bar.
Very scandalous, indeed.
What they failed to mention was that many people—male and female—dropped by the table to chat with Mr. Efron, and most importantly that two of Mr. Efron’s PR people were also present.
Something else you might not be aware of—and the scandal sheets might take note: Mr. Efron’s main PR person always carries a voice recorder. All Mr. Efron’s banter on the red carpet, all his interviews, and all his conversations out and about are recorded. They are very much aware of the constant scrutiny he is under.
Mr. Efron is always professional and courteous with everyone he meets on the “17 Again” promotional tour, be they male or female. And if Ms. Hudgens had as little faith in him as some of you self-doubters, their relationship would not have lasted beyond six months.
It’s sad some need a person with too much time on their hands (ie For Real) for you guys to stop freaking out over their relationship. If you guys are so dumb that you’ll buy into every rumor all the time and cry over every little part of their relationship then you don’t even count as a fan and are not worth it. How sad that people believe such trash. These are the same people that believe reality shows are real life. Think about all the ridiculous stories written about celebrities in tabloids. They’re so laughable. People really have to understand the difference between a “tabloid” and a credible source!!! I don’t think some teens and actually adults understand this difference. The problem with getting someone like the rodent off a board like this is:

My feeling is, they are both strong and confident, and have a good support system with their close families and friends. They have what it takes to get through. I have faith in each of them.
Yes, Kat, I don’t understand why anyone WOULDN’T believe Zac’s people would record what is being said to him for A LOT of reasons. In this world today people will try anything. I think some of the new talent that has shown up in the past 3 years are getting better advice and are trying to learn from their predecessors. Look how long it has taken Britney Spears to get back on track. Lindsey Lohan is yet to get past all the publicity. Publicity is all she is known for right now. But the gossip magazines, the paps, and the “sensational” websites like Perez and other like him are still up to their OLD tricks. They don’t care if they would hurt the reputation of a real person who is really a nice person. They are in it for themselves either for attention, fame, or money or all three. How naive that people don’t see that.
I guess that those who’s job it is to spread the rumors and lies find it disconcerting to have to deal with such hard-nosed—and in the know fans—like Zac and Vanessa have. They get mad because their jobs are not so easy and they have to work extra hard to get some stupid rumor out there to get everyone in a tizzy.
But to prove how uninformed some of the people are who write articles are, I read today a little thing that was saying how Zac was shedding his Disney image, etc. In that article it was saying how he didn’t even kiss his girl in the HSM series until the THIRD movie. Perhaps these people would be taken more seriously if they actually researched the facts instead of listing to some third party. And so it goes with many on these boards who try to report their lies. They are not so well informed either. They should give it up.

Well here I go again walking the line where my husband is concerned but this time as I read the posts I asked in advance. He says no names and I can say what I please. I Love This Man.
As I have said before my husband works in the industry and is rarther well known between my teaching and his career we are rather busy which is why I post so sporatically and end up having to ask questions on this and another board I’m on becauase I enter conversations near the middle or end.
My husband works with two of the biggest stars out right now and they most cetainly DO tape many of their conversations especially in situations where their going to meet a lot of persons or there are a lot of paps in the area.
EXAMPLE: Haven’t you ever notice a pap or someone will say B. Spears (I am only using her as an example) said something and it’s wrong then all of a sudden the tape with what she actually said will be played on E or Access Hollywood? Where do you think the tape came from? Her manager or publicisit was taping some of her conversations during the night. NOT ALL OF THEM. It depends on what she is talking about and who she is talking too. Protecting her or any other star is their job.
With Zac you don’t want some woman saying she met him at a restaurant or somewhere and made a date to see her in his room and now she expecting or some such lying trash - so if you can you tape the actual conversation just in case or just enough to make sure it’s obvious she’s wrong.
Like I said not entire conversations usually (unless absolutely necessary) and not all conversation - but it is done.

I’ve never heard that PR people record conversations, but I think it’s very possible they do. With the tabloids and slanderous publications out there, it makes sense for them to have concrete evidence of situations. I’m sure it makes good legal sense for them to do so.

In MY mind, For Real has never really posted anything that real fans didn’t already believe. That poster has never changed my mind, “calmed” me down, or anything like that. Real fans never get caught up in baseless lies or rumors. But some people choose to listen to For Real, and that’s fine. Why do you people need to ridicule what others believe?
