Zac Efron: ShoWest? ShoSexy!
Zac Efron shows off his shiny new statue — the Breakthrough Performer of the Year Award — at the ShoWest awards ceremony at the Paris Las Vegas on Thursday (April 2) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At the event, the 21-year-old actor told EW why he turned down the role of Ren McCormack in Footloose. He shared, “I’m sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That’s what’s always going to appeal to me: the unknown.”

peggy: come on, you can’t possibly believe what you just wrote. If you really do then I doubt For Real’s comments would help much. There has been no big barrage of hate comments here on this thread nor has it been laden with rumors that have not been dealt with before. I’m not trying to be unkind but your comment sounds also like you are only trying to get For Real to make a comment. You might as well admit it, you just like seeing comments from For Real. Somehow it is easier for you to believe in a poster who may or may not be legit than to believe what you see with your eyes when viewing Zac and Vanessa. Do you really believe they are the way you have seen them at the KCA, the Oscars, the Golden Globes, etc, and that they would decide to go separate ways 2 days later? Don’t you think it makes sense that they are very serious about their relationship or they wouldn’t be out and about at these functions as a couple? If they were not really serious then I believe they would simply go solo or with a group or one would go and the other one stay home—anything that would allow them to be seen more as single people in case a breakup should occur. But no, they are secure enough in this relationship to be seen by the world as a loving couple.
Why do you have to be so insecure about these two that you have to see them together every 2-3 days to make you not feel a “tad bit concerned”. They have been together day after day but now that Zac has been out doing his job you can’t stand it and need someone who may be no more than Joe Blow to reassure you? What happens if For Real lets you down? Will you still be unable to see what is right in front of your eyes?

You must stop with the timetables many a couple has been seen lovey dovey on Monday and had their publicity people annouce their break up on Wednesday. In fact that is pretty much how Hollywood goes so days together or apart mean nothing.
Secondly I am entitled to my feelings up or down when I have them. I love Z&V put I am not privy to the inner workings of their realtionship.
Thirdly I saw a post by someone, don’t remember the name, commenting For Real only shows up when the rumors are getting bad and people are beginning to believe it. Well that Japanesse Zanessa blog sure as sunlight carried the bonnie story and they are a ZANESSA site. So the rumor along with others about their having problems and splitting are rampant even Zac and V lovers on other boards are having some interesting comments..
IT IS MY OPINION I think For Real not making a comment this time is significant.

When you’re famous, rumors are a part of the game. But reading negative things about yourself is never easy. Recently BOP asked some of Hollywood’s most promising young celebrities how they deal with the rumor mill.

For Real has come on only when things are getting out of hand like when Zac was in Europe and things like that, NEVER for someone like zac is a rat who writes the same old things everyday about the same thing. It wouldn’t matter if Zac himself came on this site and announced that he and Vanessa were going to get married and later we heard it announced on Access Hollywood because the rodent would still do his thing and others like him. With your theory we might even get a wedding announcement today and tomorrow you’d be saying there is trouble in paradise because that is how Hollywood works! Just because 3 people want to get something started doesn’t mean there is reason to worry.
About the Bonnie Wright thing: HER people denied that story. After all the GOSSIP over Taylor Swift there was confirmation how Zac travels with his PR people and security people at all times. Does it make sense that he went to London for that premiere, just happened to meet this Bonnie—-who her people denied it happened—-and “hooked up” with her in some unsavory way for a one night stand and was then back in the US the next day and pictured with Vanessa and there is validity to that story? So many people yell “get a life” I say “GET A BRAIN”. Everytime Zac has been more than 100 yards away from Vanessa someone is coming up with some cheating rumor about him with the female who is standing the closest to him! Do you think this young man who has been in a long-term relationship suddenly beds a girl within the first hour he meets her just because he is part of the Hollywood framework? You are ridiculous and if you can’t see that then there is no hope. The Japanese site put this on there because it was circulating but it also was denied by the subject’s own management people.
And WHY should it be taken seriously? The very same lie was started about a girl who merely won a contest to get to meet Zac while he was in Australia. Then came the rumor about Taylor Swift. Then we have the one with this Harry Potter girl, Bonnie Wright! Are you really going to believe all that malarky? What would be the sense of it all? One day he is with this girl and the next it is with someone else and yet the next day he is home with his girlfriend. People make it sound like it is his job to be with other girls! BUT if you’d use your brain it is very clear that all of this is to cause a media stir and get gossip started so the gossip mongers have something to try to sell! And this tactic is far from new. It has been around for ages. There was talk about Catherine Zeta-Jones and Brad Pitt when they filmed Ocean’s 12 together!

Karen, that is good write up as always. rumors are part of this business but we steadfast fans don’t for a moment believe that they are true.
and with 17 again promotion going full blast for the next 2 weeks, we will get all sorts of stories and rumors and what not. folks, just remember that this is just a job for Zac and one that he does well.

As long as Mr. Efron has young, angst-ridden, overly-emotional followers there will be rumors created to feed their ravenous desire for drama. That is par for the course. Mr. Efron knows that. Ms. Hudgens know that. Neither is swayed by it. They understand each other. They trust each other.
The scandal sheets that focus on sensationalism have a staff person assigned to cover Mr. Efron. That staff person peruses blog and fan sites in hopes of finding fuel to start a sordid rumor—the renowned “inside source.” Their job is to look for anything that will indicate, even in the slightest, that Mr. Efron is doing something improper. Mr. Efron is aware of this. His PR people are aware of this.
Yet, with all the tabloids following Mr. Efron’s every move in Australia and London, only one—Wenn News—was daring enough to come up with an earth-shaking, career-destroying, scandalous story: Mr. Efron was seen talking to a British actress in a bar.
Very scandalous, indeed.
What they failed to mention was that many people—male and female—dropped by the table to chat with Mr. Efron, and most importantly that two of Mr. Efron’s PR people were also present.
Something else you might not be aware of—and the scandal sheets might take note: Mr. Efron’s main PR person always carries a voice recorder. All Mr. Efron’s banter on the red carpet, all his interviews, and all his conversations out and about are recorded. They are very much aware of the constant scrutiny he is under.
Mr. Efron is always professional and courteous with everyone he meets on the “17 Again” promotional tour, be they male or female. And if Ms. Hudgens had as little faith in him as some of you self-doubters, their relationship would not have lasted beyond six months.
