Zac Efron: ShoWest? ShoSexy!
Zac Efron shows off his shiny new statue — the Breakthrough Performer of the Year Award — at the ShoWest awards ceremony at the Paris Las Vegas on Thursday (April 2) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At the event, the 21-year-old actor told EW why he turned down the role of Ren McCormack in Footloose. He shared, “I’m sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That’s what’s always going to appeal to me: the unknown.”

It’s sad some need a person with too much time on their hands (ie For Real) for you guys to stop freaking out over their relationship. If you guys are so dumb that you’ll buy into every rumor all the time and cry over every little part of their relationship then you don’t even count as a fan and are not worth it. If dumb asses like Peggy think that Zac & Vanessa’s relationship is in trouble who the **** cares, Zac & Vanessa don’t and its not affecting them. Whoever the **** For real is and etc. need to stop trying to coddle the little fan girls and the smart adult posters here need to just stop answering to the haters who are trying to cause trouble. How sad that people believe such trash. These are the same people that believe reality shows are real life. Think about all the ridiculous stories written about celebrities in tabloids. They’re so laughable. People really have to understand the difference between a “tabloid” and a credible source!!! I don’t think some teens and actually adults understand this difference. They think if it’s published, it’s fact. Far from it!!
I have to admit, it must be really difficult to ignore the trash written about you, however. I give Zac a LOT of credit for staying the course that he’s set for himself, and not addressing the ridiculousness that’s written about him. He knows what’s “for real”.

Give V credit too. how many women do you know who can endure dealing with this crap as the girlfriend who has to listen and hear it all. She is a strong woman. Proud that Zac is honest with her, and glad he has her as someone he knows trusts him.
I am thinking back at past heartthrob and most of them had relationships at Zac and Van’s age that didn’t last more than a year at a time. It says much of both of them in the way they were raised, and what they believe it takes to make it work. Much maturity on both their ends.
Sorry folks, but i don’t feel this garbage will end any time soon. We need to just buckle down, and get ready to hear the mess for the next couple years. Sad but true.

The problem with getting someone like the rodent off a board like this is:
1. IT will go somewhere else to cause the same problem because the weak-minded will read such junk somewhere else.
2. The person will just change monikers and can even change email address but still write the same stupid stuff.
3. There will be some person who will take the rodent’s place as some people get their kicks from stuff like this.
Yes, someone like rodent and desiree and a few others as I have said should be totally ignored as they write the same stuff no matter what. BUT the problem lies in the fact that people continue to read it and then they continue to be swayed by it so that some of us have to try to keep some sanity going. As an older fan of Zac’s and an older fan of Vanessa’s I feel they deserve to be defended over such low-life tactics of some of these gossip sites. If people would just figure out how they are manipulated by things like OK, Star, National Enquirer, etc they would stop reading such craziness. AND if they would stop reading such junk they wouldn’t have such “junky” minds!

Personally I think it’s a little extreme for anyone to be recording everything for Zac. Actually I find it quite odd and invasive.

Wow, wow, wow! What is wrong with people these days, especially the negative posters of Z/V? Do you not have enough drama in your own life that you have to create it using Z/V’s relationship? Why oh why would you believe anything written in any of those lowlife blogs that they call celebrity news sites? Let’s face it, they are in business to make up lies and inuendos regarding stars just to get a reaction and wreak havoc among the fans. Before believing in any of those rumors, why not ask yourself if it could be fake and consider the source. Don’t be naive and believe everything you read without question. I could say I’m the Queen of England on here, and because you can’t prove I’m not, you might believe it. Please, Please, consider the source and use logic and you will come close to figuring out what is real and what is not. Have faith in Zac and Vanessa, because they have faith in each other, thank God, or they wouldn’t have lasted this long.
I would not doubt what For Real is saying - why not record the convos of Zac and people he meets on these promo tours. Just for the reason that anyone can say he said or did anything and the PR people can either prove or disprove whatever alledgedly happened or did not happen. Again, use logic and good old common sense - it will carry you pretty far in this world.
Vancrazed, I totally agree, but since this was a Zac thread, I wanted to just give him a shout-out here. Vanessa is an ultimate professional as well, dealing with all this. Maybe even better than Zac. I’m sure they both work very hard to keep outside influences from interfering in their personal lives. It’s messed up many a young actor. My feeling is, they are both strong and confident, and have a good support system with their close families and friends. They have what it takes to get through. I have faith in each of them.
Yes, Kat, I don’t understand why anyone WOULDN’T believe Zac’s people would record what is being said to him for A LOT of reasons. In this world today people will try anything. I would want things recorded if I was in his position because he is so out there for insults, innuendos, rumors, and whatever else just because he is hot right now. It would seem that he as some self-respect which I admire. Everybody be it lover or hater of this boy wants a piece of him and it is all for selfish reasons. I would want to cover my butt too. The guy is SMART and it would seem he has really smart people working for him.
We have seen way too many train wrecks with young celebrities in the recent past. I think some of the new talent that has shown up in the past 3 years are getting better advice and are trying to learn from their predecessors. Look how long it has taken Britney Spears to get back on track. Lindsey Lohan is yet to get past all the publicity. Publicity is all she is known for right now. But the gossip magazines, the paps, and the “sensational” websites like Perez and other like him are still up to their OLD tricks. They don’t care if they would hurt the reputation of a real person who is really a nice person. They are in it for themselves either for attention, fame, or money or all three. How naive that people don’t see that.
I guess that those who’s job it is to spread the rumors and lies find it disconcerting to have to deal with such hard-nosed—and in the know fans—like Zac and Vanessa have. They get mad because their jobs are not so easy and they have to work extra hard to get some stupid rumor out there to get everyone in a tizzy.
But to prove how uninformed some of the people are who write articles are, I read today a little thing that was saying how Zac was shedding his Disney image, etc. In that article it was saying how he didn’t even kiss his girl in the HSM series until the THIRD movie. Perhaps these people would be taken more seriously if they actually researched the facts instead of listing to some third party. And so it goes with many on these boards who try to report their lies. They are not so well informed either. They should give it up.

Well here I go again walking the line where my husband is concerned but this time as I read the posts I asked in advance. He says no names and I can say what I please. I Love This Man.
As I have said before my husband works in the industry and is rarther well known between my teaching and his career we are rather busy which is why I post so sporatically and end up having to ask questions on this and another board I’m on becauase I enter conversations near the middle or end.
My husband works with two of the biggest stars out right now and they most cetainly DO tape many of their conversations especially in situations where their going to meet a lot of persons or there are a lot of paps in the area.
EXAMPLE: Haven’t you ever notice a pap or someone will say B. Spears (I am only using her as an example) said something and it’s wrong then all of a sudden the tape with what she actually said will be played on E or Access Hollywood? Where do you think the tape came from? Her manager or publicisit was taping some of her conversations during the night. NOT ALL OF THEM. It depends on what she is talking about and who she is talking too. Protecting her or any other star is their job.
With Zac you don’t want some woman saying she met him at a restaurant or somewhere and made a date to see her in his room and now she expecting or some such lying trash - so if you can you tape the actual conversation just in case or just enough to make sure it’s obvious she’s wrong.
Like I said not entire conversations usually (unless absolutely necessary) and not all conversation - but it is done.
Wow just wow! Zac is rat and his friends are crazy. They are all just playing a sick game. Nothing they have to say should be acknowledged.
For Real is just as insane. How can any of you be so dense as to believe him. Zac’s people do not record his conversations. Karen use your brain, go ask your friend Naomi or you people go on the other forums you post in with mods who actually have legitimate connections and ask them.
