Alex DeSilva Arrested For Sexual Assault
So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Alex DeSilva has been arrested for multiple sexual assaults, reports BNO News.
The 41-year-old was arrested in connection for four sexual assaults that occurred between May 2003 and March 28, 2009.
The Los Angeles Police Department said, “The four victims in this case were all students of DeSilva at the time of the assaults. The victims alleged that he lured them to his homes in North Hollywood and Van Nuys. He then used a ruse to get them into his bedroom where he raped them.”
DeSilva’s bail has been set at $3.8 million.

HAVE KNOWN HIM FOR YEARS.ONE OF MY FRIENDS TAUGHT HIM BASICS IN IN OAKLAND CA.NOT A PURE SALSA DANCER.FANCY TWIRLER THAT IMPRESSES NEWBIES.ALWAYS HAD A WEIRD SECRETIVE PERSONALITY.NOW I KNOW WHY. IM SURE THE PURE SALSA DANCERS( EDDIE TORRES,ETC.) ,TRUE MAMBO DANCERS FROM NEW YORK, PUERTO RICO AND CUBA WHO HAVE BEEN LAUGHING AT HIS BALLROOM SPAGGETTI ROUTINES FOR YEARS WILL NOW LAUGH IN DISGUST.
I never met Alex but I’m of the salsa scene … his choregraphy on SYTYCD is absolutely TERRIBLE! Especially Mambo & Salsa he picks these fast songs which makes the dancers look even worse … its sad very sad however if people never took classes and/or are not part of the salsa scene you can never understand when a man can dance it draws women in … its up to them to go further or no… most women go further b/c they want the recognition in the salsa scene … they want to be known & the way to do it, which is the sad way, is either hooking up with them or kissing some serious a$$!!! I hope he’s not back on SYTYCD … Get someone better Tomas Guerrero, Mario B, Frankie Martinez, etc … get a real salsero on the show!
This is totally absurd. It’s no way Alex committed rape on these women. Alex doesn’t need to rape because females give him sex willingly. These women are pissed at him because he rejected and hurt their feelings. Alex had a ****** attitude with anyone not only women. That’s just the way he is. Its funny how thing resurface. Females are so quick to dump a man and they feel that is the norm, but when a man does it its rape. What kind of **** is that? Females were so quick to cheat on their current boyfriends then only to find our Alex just wanted sex. This is so similar to the Kobe Bryant case. Alex will hold as an example for all Saleros out there that use their salsa skill to get many women. Lots of drama is out in salsa and if females can’t stand the heat they should get out of his kitchen. Saleros should pick there partners wisely for now on. I stand for Alex defense any day.

im really sorry to hear this about my friend alex… i lhope that this blows away alex.. i know you very well bro, and i have seen many girls throw themselves on you to be seen in your spotlight.. i always wanted to tell you , to watch your back with these vicious girls that are out to get there’s however they can… people that are writing in, you are all judging him very quickly.. i understand why you would, but all im saying is just wait to hear the full length of this, then judge.. im not saying he’s innocent, so please don’t say he’s guilty… thank you, from a former dancer that has work with alex… keep your mind clear alex!
Okay I’m sorry, but I find it very hard to believe that a guy that could have just about any girl he wants would have to rape a girl. Also, what did these girls that were taken classes from him think he wanted when he asked them over to his house? He’s a known womanizer! For a second however, let’s just say he did somehow LURE them to his house. I find it hard to believe any girl with a brain would be lured to the bedroom and not know what he was wanting you to come to the bedroom for. So I find it hard to believe they were lured to his bedroom. Anything is likely I suppose, but if my dance teacher, who was nice looking, semi-famous, and a known womanizer/player asked me to his house for some private sessions or whatever reason, I would suspect the private sessions were not dance related. If I chose to go then I would realize why I was going and would willingly be putting myself in that situation. Even if I didn’t catch on til I got to his house and there was no one there but he and I, and he asks me to come to the bedroom then I would for sure know what was expected. The story just doesn’t make sense at all. No always means no, but don’t be ignorant enough to put urself in that situation either. It is just as likely that some of these women could be trying to use his fame/money to get their fifteen. IDK, but the story is mighty suspicious IMO. I really do hope it isn’t true, because I love his routines on SYTYCD and I have missed him this season. However, if he is guilty then he should be punished. Regardless if he is guilty or innocent, people all over the net have already tried and convicted him. Even if he is innocent he’s name is RUINED.
@Julie: it is a horrible thing to be sexually voilated, especailly by someone you trust. so no its notwrong to think that you can enter someones bedroom and not have sex. no still mea\ns no. i was raped by my ex a basketball player and the detective made me feel it was myy fault that trusted someone that supposed to be my friend.
Tumbadora you SURE nailed it, I don’t represent the Profile that You just describe but I have being doing salsa for about 20 Years and the only purpose is Exclusively to get Girls, I’ve always wonder if one of these days one of these Girls would get me in some kind of trouble but I have being lucky, I’m sorry for Alex.
I completely understand the state of mind of a of most Women when they realize that they were used for nothing other than sex, I’ve being there many times, but what I do is I always come up or do something stupid to pushed them away, with out making them fill used, and it always works, and sure I come out looking stupid but it works for me once I want to get rid of someone…

Um…the article never said they were women he’s accused of having raped. Are we just assuming this or does someone know for certain the gender of his victims?
Either way, it’s disgusting and an abuse of his authority/position as a teacher. If/when he’s convicted, I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.
Mitchf, you sound like you’re blaming the victims for being raped! That’s so unfair!! If more disgusting men had their offending parts lopped off, there’d be less of this, too!
hmmm… Now is he is going to be teaching salsa to a lot of guys in jail. Let’s see how it goes after each salsa lesson!! ( ouch! )

Ohh well, let the justice system handle it … I will not pass judgment on this Salsero who belives of himself as the greatest thing that ever existed to the Mayan, Mama Juanas etc. . The only thing that I can say is : What goes around, comes around!
