Miley Cyrus - ACMs 2009
Miley Cyrus glows at the 2009 Academy Of Country Music Awards held at the MGM Grand on Sunday (April 5) in Las Vegas.
The 16-year-old Disney starlet worked out a gorgeous Monique Lhullier dress with a jeweled one-shoulder and bustline, Cole Haan heels and H.Stern jewels.
During the ceremony, Miley performed (pictured below) her hit song “The Climb” from her upcoming film Hannah Montana The Movie, out this Friday.

shes not rly just a teen pop star, and i dont get why ppl think you need be some gorgeous knockout to make it in the business. shes a teen pop star, but you can definitely hear a lot of twang in her music and country vibes. the climb, which she performed, is her big country crossover. i actually think her voice is quite suited for country since she has that twang. when her pop music goes out, i really hope she continues with country.

Um, was everyone watching the same performance I was? She sounded AWFUL- she has a very weak, nasaly voice that she tries to disguise with a very put on “twang”. And what the hell was that bizarre headbanging she was doing?! Horrible!!

I liked her dress, I don’t see the connection between that and a “hooker in training” whoever said that is retarded. Highschoolers wear that for prom-she’s going to an awards show. It may be a little sophisticated for a 16-year old but it doesn’t make that a bad thing. I usually have bad things to say about Miley but c’mon, be a little realistic. Don’t attack her for absolutely anything.
On a side-note, #18-LOL i completely agree. That soul patch is the cheesiest thing he can have on him. IT NEEDS TO GO!

She sounded so nasal when she was singing. Hey if she wants to go country I’m all for it. Get her the hell off the radio stations I listen to (no offense to the country song lovers) They are trying so hard to keep her in the lime light. No thanks.

She’s there because her daddy was a country singer one-hit wonder way back when. And then there’s job security. Push your way in to multiple genres, and hopefully you’ll hit one of them…like throwing mud on the side of a barn.
