Gwyneth Paltrow Irons Things Out
Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. are out and about the film set for Iron Man 2 in Los Angeles on Monday (March 6).
RDJ, 44, smoked a cigar outside his trailer and even walked around with a cute Iron Man lunch box! Check it out!
Gwynie, 36, looked tired after a long day of playing her Pepper Potts character.
She has recently received some press for her recent blog saying that she is “seized with fear” over the threat from “environmental toxins”, which are linked to cancer, autism, and other diseases. She quotes a pediatrician in the U.S. who claims that people are at risk due to chemicals found in everyday products such as toys, shampoo, paint and cleaning products.

I loved the first Iron Man. The only thing I didn’t particularly like was the casting of Gwyneth Paltrow. She grated throughout the whole film.

I liked RD way before Iron Man. I loved him in NBK and Chaplin. He has been a phenomenol actor for so long.

Probably neither of the two ladies (ScarJo & Gwyn P) will set the world on fire with their performances, but these movies almost write themselves. Plus, you’ve got the enormously charismatic Downey in the lead and Mr. Theroux tinkering with the script. Throw the Wrestler into the mix. All in all, should be good.

Whatever Downey has been doing to himself, he should keep it up. He looks like he stepped straight out of the Iron Man comic there. Very dapper and handsome.

Yes, it must be very tiring to lie down in your trailer while the crew and your stand-in spend 30 - 120 minutes setting up the lighting for your next shot.
This was the first day of shooting Iron Man 2. I didn’t realize that RDJ was carrying an Iron Man lunch box until I started editing the pics I got on the set when I got home.
It was a challenge to shoot on a movie set this day as many (dickheads) among the production crew tried their best to block our shots. But anyway I’m glad I got these pics and I hope it will sell well worldwide as these are among the first set pics of Iron Man 2.
Shooting Iron Man 2 is a welcome respite from being in Los Feliz! Kate Walsh, Rachel Bilson and Katherine heigl are all out-of-town, that’s why!

Environmental toxins!!!! These celebs are really dumb aren’t they! i would worry more about the hundreds of flights you take around the world rather than whats in your shampoo bottle, how about lessening your carbon footprint for a start? Stupid actress that can’t even act-shame about her unfortunate kids with lazy droopy eyes.
Like her or not………she’s ABSOLUTELY correct about the toxins in everything from shampoo to soap to cleaning supplies to toys.
All the information you need is out there, people just choose to believe the FDA and other so-called regulatory boards have their best interest at heart. Couldn’t be further from the truth……It’s all about business and lobbyists.

They needed to find someone who actually has some on screen chemistry with Robert Downey Jr. Paltrow is more boring than white rice. Now I have to look forward to Scarlett Johansson. Sheesh! The only thing interesting about her is her name.
There are toxins in a lot of things, but some of her claims like getting cancer from shampoo and the stats she cites about the incidence rates of childhood cancers have been refuted by experts like Cancer Research UK. They’d have lawsuits up the wahzoo if that were true.

I think the female parts are just as valid as the male parts, and in fact it would be even more exciting as a movie to see the women shine too!!! It’s hard to say before seeing the movie anything about whether or not the characters will be played out by one actor or another better than an other might have done. I do think that Robert looks a lot better without his beard and facial hair, but other people think it looks great on him. Guess you can’t please everyone. Scarlett and Gwyneth are both charismatic. It seems like it is a a good cast, overall. Hope there is some humor in the movie since I think this is one of Robert’s strengths. Gwyneth could do more action too, since she seems to be a very athletic type person.
Paltrow is fine as a supporting player but lacks the requisite charisma to be an compelling action heroine. Plus, she has a bum knee. Not good for stunts and extended action sequences.
Johannson tested for the role and did not get the part. Apparently, the director and producers saw something in her test that indicated she was not the best choice for the role. She was only brought in when Blunt couldn’t take the part for contractual reasons.
Too bad for the audience. Imagine how great Iron Man would have been with the first choice actresses - McAdams and Blunt - in those parts.
There’s supposed to be a lot more supporting characters in the sequel, so it’s debatable how much screen time the ladies will actually have.
I have faith RDJ will bring it. Can’t wait to see this movie!
