Matilda Ledger Waves To Paparazzi
Michelle Williams and her boyfriend, director Spike Jonze, take her daughter Matilda Ledger, out for a walk in rainy Brooklyn, New York City on Saturday (April 11).
Michelle was at a yoga (pilates?) class when a male friend (bodyguard?) brought Matilda there. Michelle and Spike were later seen leaving the studio with Matilda, who waved to paparazzi! Seems like she’s got the opposite approach to photographers than Suri Cruise!

Raphael you are wasting your breath, the haters are gonna keep on hating no matter what you say. The real documented facts mean tish to the haters so no matter how many times Suri waves or smiles or runs through the streets of NY laughing and dragging her mother along, or her pure excitement of being at Disney World where there were no paparazzi means nothing to these folk
The truth is maybe 1 or 2 photogs are taking Matildas picture and there 102 surrounding Suri. JJ knows that by mentioning Suris name the clicks will triple so don’t waste your time , you are not going to win …….but hell….I admire your persistance!
This is heartbreaking! I’m really happy seeing this adorable little girl smiling all the time but then on the other hand I have to think of Heath and how he can only watch her from above, how Matilda will probably not really remember her dad and this makes me sad…
Hopefully Michelle will raise Matilda with the best memories of Heath!

I don’t know about that, but he and Jake were probably friends, at least acquaintances. I don’t think Michelle and Matilda have much contact with Jake.
Matilda is a little rebel like her father. Michelle has tried to make her understand the photographers aren’t nice people, and not to look at them, but Matilda obviously doesn’t care. WHen Michelle tried to get her to ignore them, she asked, “What’s the problem, Mom?” LOL! She is a LOT like her father. She has his nose and his eyes and his smile. But it looks like she has his spirit too. Who ever these men are that come around Matilda, I sincerely hope they are good people who will treat her properly. She needs a father figure in her life, but not some jerk.

Uhh, I don’t think she’s trying to be a rebel or even defy michelle, bianca, I doubt she even fully understands the concept of papparazzi yet. All she sees is a person trying to take photos of her and she clearly likes that.
Matilda is always smiling at the paparazzi when her mother isn’t around. Michelle is fearful of them and I think it would be unfair on the poor little girl to feel threatened by them. The paparazzi don’t want to hurt the child at all. It is not THEIR fault that she is being photographed. They just do their jobs.
Matilda seems a free spirit like her father. He hated paparazzi but he was incredibly shy and I feel Michelle is that way inclined also, but if she just completely ignores these strange people who don’t seem to be all up in her face like they are with Katie/Suri and the Brangelina clan and ignores them, Matilda will be fine.
I hope they don’t leave Brooklyn. It’s Matilda’s home, where she was born and where her dad loved to be with her.

you did brought up the cruises in this thread and almost every thread where celebrity mother take their kids. not all people like the cruises the way you do, so get over it and move on. if you don’t like to read the negative critisms about them then don’t even bother reading the comments, just look at the photos then go. you don’t have to argue with everybody by defending the cruises in every poster who says something you happen to disagree. no celebrity parents are perfect. for every celebrity, there will always be haters and lovers / praisers and bad commenters. so get over it and move on!
Now you see that Matilda is happy but when she will grow up and say why dady is dead, her face will change. she will be sad and angry to her mom

Quit defending the paparazzi, #60. It’s not that girl’s fault that she’s famous. Only her mother should be photographed and her space should still be respected. ‘They’re just doing their job’ is a stupid excuse.
I didn’t bring up the Cruises now, #61. Don’t tell me what to do.

She’s adorable. I think it is so creepy that these paps are calling out her name to get a picture of her. That’s why she’s smiling. A 3.5 year old can not possibly understand what is going on. I love to see pics of her as well but the tactics that the paps use are disgusting.

She waves to everyone, not just the paparazzi. It’s a sad world we live in when we start stalking celebrity children sans parents.
Matilda and Violet are the cutest lil girlies!!! the paps are despicable, but what else would you expect.
Many celebs do keep their kids away from the paps though! lt’s not rocket science ya know!
she is a lovely child but mum donest like the paps taking pictures off her child and her at other times funny that.
Maybe she’s better than Suri because she is actually a respectable young child, not a little diva!
