Vanessa Hudgens will take the May 2009 cover of Self Magazine.
The 20-year-old former High School Musical sweetheart recently purchased her own home, which interior designer Kenneth Brown will be decorating (he’s also doing her boyfriend Zac Efron’s home too).
“I keep a Taser in my purse for self-defense,” Vanessa said. “I’m moving into a house by myself, and it’s scary.”
As for going au naturel, Ms. Hudgens shared, “Sometimes I feel prettier without makeup. You take it off and you’re like, Oh, there I am! But red lips make me feel sexy . . . It brings out the vixen in you.”
Young Hollywood is definitely becoming bankable. 19-year-old Taylor Swift took the mag’s March 2009 cover.
Vanessa is currently in New York City to support Zac, who’s hosting Saturday Night Live TONIGHT @ 11:30PM ET/PT on NBC.

Darling, she has her own identity as not just a strong and independent, but resilient and confident woman with the right kind of priorities.
The kind of strength that that can handle lawsuits, movie projects, endorsements, charity work, etc and yet give 100% to a relationship, all this with little noise and no announcements or video blogs, yet with such ease and serenity, it’s barely obvious how much she is carrying on her tiny shoulders.
You might have clicked on the wrong thread. This thread is about Vanessa on the cover of a women’s magazine. I don’t see how Zac is associated with that. She’s managed to find time after her script reading, work-related shopping and mediation meeting to go support her partner as he achieves a milestone in his career, that’s a personal thing. What’s the issue?
The FOD episode thread is some threads back, you might want to go and register your complaints there.
If you channel your mind towards your own affairs and stop diching out superflous advive to people who don’t need them, you might fare better in life.

Obsessive Blonsky, as you called her, was INVITED by Zac to come to SNL to see him so get over it. Besides his little gf will also be there, so not to worry. Did it ever occur to people that all of them are friends and it will be a great time for them.

Funny why the hell are you creeping in a Vanesas post. That doesn’t make Nikki or her fans any less obsessive. They try super hard to make her entire life revolve around him. Its too bad how nice Zac is, leeching disrespectful friends aren’t something anyone wants. Getting your own house and living alone are two entirely different things. Gimme a break - Zac will be there every night and every day. They’re already sleeping together, which they’ve all but formally announced. These two are too young to have such a heavy, 24/7 relationship and I bet it’s based mostly on sex. Shame.
Faith, duh, yes, she’s going to be associated with a lot of what Zac does, especially these huge firsts for him, because she’s his best friend and his girlfriend, has been for going on 4 years now. Why wouldn’t she be in NYC to support him?
The girl can’t win for nothing. She’s in LA working, meeting with her manager and publicist, going to mediation meetings, taking meetings with industry peeps with scripts in hand and she’s a horrible, selfish girlfriend who doesn’t support her boyfriend, he needs to dump her because he can do better.
She handled her business in LA and hopped a red eye to go support her boyfriend/best friend late in the week and she’s a hanger on who has no identity of her own. Which one is it people?

I have never heard such trash as some of these people are spilling. How would anyone know if Zac invited Nikki if they weren’t there in the room? She can blog about supporting him all she wants but if he had wanted to be with her, he would be with her. If Vanessa doesn’t go with Zac to a premire, he is dumping her for whoever happens to be there, if she goes to support him she is riding his coat tails. The thing that gets me the most is these people show up on every Vanessa thread to spread this vile. As I have said in the past, there are several people on JJ I don’t care for, I skip their threads. I don’ t go on them with misinformed notions about how they should live there lives. Vanessa has at least two new movie offers as we;; as her endorsements to keep her busy. She is doing just fine. Oh lord. I highly doubt Zac’s plans with Vanessa were in any way, shape or form related to anything having to do with Nikki. Zac/Vanessa have their relationship, they’ve been in a relationship since before Nikki was ever a co-star of Zac’s. Their plans and travels have nothing to do with this girl. They’ve probably have had this planned for quite some time. It’s not like he just found out he was hosting SNL last week.
