Gerard Butler: I Heart You!
Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl get cute with hearts in this new poster for their upcoming rom-com The Ugly Truth, out in July.
Plot details: A romantically challenged morning-show producer (Heigl) is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her male chauvinist correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and allow her to find love. His clever ploys, however lead to an unexpected result.

I never go to the theater to see Rom Coms. I always wait for them on DVD.. I like to go to the movies to see Dramas. Action, and Sci Fi Stuff.
Fair or not they all seem to be the same story on a different day. I like Gerard but other then 300 I have not seen a film of his that I can say WOW about. Katherine; Jennifer, Kate, Katie, Cameron, Reese, Sandra, (pretty much the same.. You could but any of them in a film switch with any of the others and the film would be the same) Nothing really special about any of them. Very generic. Very Average.
I wish these women would do something to stand out more. They are all in the running for the same old roles.

The posts by Swansong are amazing. FYI…Swansong used to love and be obsessed with Gerard Butler and post her undying love for him at all of the fansites. She obviously turned on him, perhaps when she realized he would never be hers and when photos of him with all sorts of women became more frequent. I suspect Swansong is a very fat, old and lonely woman with disturbing fantasies and delusions which once fueled by lust for this man have now turned to hate. I’d say that judging by the obsessed fans of Gerard Butler’s who along with Swansong fit this profile he really should get a few bodyguards which as of now he doesn’t seem to have.

Gerard Butler has it all: talent, charm,. charisma, intelligence, great looks. He brings each and every one of his characters to life and believability. He is so convincing that the characters seem to live after the movie. I can’t believe all of the jealously that is felt for this man.

Early screenings are buzzing with positive reviews. This is going to be a huge hit for Butler! His positive rating was over 94%. Her rating was also high (can’t remember), but Butler hit it out of the park and apparently his comedic timing is dead on. For those of you not in the know, having any rating over 83% from screenings is EXCELLENT. Hitting a 94% is almost unheard of. Between this and his new action flick coming out in the fall with the guys who directed and wrote crank, this is going to be a huge year at the box office for this guy. With that it’s so interesting to see his fanbase change. His regulars seem to be turning, but he is getting alot more less intense fans. He is trading quality fans for quanitity of fans. Not his doing really, it’s the natural progression of success in this business.

Well, after what happened following the club story I’m not surprised the entry is kind of vindictive. And yes, surely it’s second or third hand stories, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not true. Probably embellished. And certainly everyone has a different perception of the things that happened. But I mean, if your close friends tell you stories, you usually believe them to be true and not call them lies just because you didn’t experience them first hand. Of course anything can be said on the internet but that also rings true for your everday life. Friends tell you things, people at work tell you things. Just because something is said on the net doesn’t mean it’s automatically a lie. You just can’t know for sure as there are also trolls and other jerks. I’m sure in between all the BS that is posted there are also lots of true things that just nobody believes, LOL.

I remember that - and the fact that Gerry was concerned about it after he found out she was under 18. He knew it looked bad. She looked older than 16 but she still looked young. That is what happens when you flirt with and kiss young girls on the mouth. Kissing strangers on the mouth is just odd and gross, regardless of their age.

Gerry was concerned about being linked to an under age girl? Wonder why? All these posts are beginning to add up. From the old poster SomeoneWKnows (legit or not, insightful) to the last thread about him going for and getting young girls in St Louis, to the obvious naming of his dog Lolita, Gerry really may have some problems. Ugh!!!!
The 16 year old posted on the dot net forum. She confirmed the kiss on the mouth. There was also a video, but I’m not sure if it’s posted. over there. Regardless, many others commented and posted about seeing her and congratulating her. There were also comments about her age and his reaction. There were two other girls who also posted over there about their experiences at that same Leno gathering. They also were kissed on the mouth. One told him that she had never been kissed before and he told her she was a good kisser. The other one had never been kissed either. Gerry turned and asked her if she wanted one too and then proceeded to kiss her on the mouth. One of the girls stated in her post that his mouth was slightly open. Both were young and looked it.. They posted a link to their pictures. There are also numerous other fan posts about that event — many in which the posters wrote about being kissed on the mouth and many stating his mouth was slightly open and that the kiss was not a quick one. It isn’t heresay or speculation. They are first hand accounts, with withnesses and picutres validating those accounts. I forgot to mention how Gerry found out about that the girl was only 16 years old. After he had been flirting with her and kissed her on the mouth, he said something about wanting to take her old home with him. Someone then said that she was only 16. And that is when he looked shocked and knew it looked bad.
A lot of young girls look much older than they are, so he can’t pretend just because they “looked” older he didn’t realise how young they actually were. That’s BS. It’s quite obvious he simply doesn’t care.

Ok, I am not saying that what he does with underaged girls is right. On the contrary, I really don’t approve it. But there is something I’d like to point out here. Just because they are 16 years old, it doesn’t mean in the slightest these girl don’t know what they are doing. C’mon, people. You can’t regard them as poor little innocent girls who have been eaten by the big bad wolf. They are not that innocent! I’m sure these girls are no innocent little things, but he’s the one who’d get into severe legal trouble (not to mention the damage to his career) if he ever did anything more than “just” kiss them. He is a lawyer, he should know better. Asking a 16 year old to come home with him isn’t acceptable as a “joke”. It looks like he doesn’t ask the girls’ ages before he makes a pass at them, and that could backfire very badly one day.
It is NOT ok for a nearly 40-year old man to kiss teenaged girls on the mouth. It is NOT ok for mothers to allow this just because he is a movie actor and they are fans. It is NOT ok to diminish his responsibility for this behavior by saying that the girls are probably more sexually experienced than 30-year olds - that is just gross speculation and puts the responsibility on them rather than on him. An adult is responsible for his behavior and for what he does to whom. Are the phangurls so blinded by adoration that no one stepped up on that occasion and said, “Hey, bud, this is inappropriate - keep your lips to yourself and go hit on someone your own age!” I’ll repeat a comment I made 3 threads ago - bleeeccchhh!
Maybe he should take something to calm his hormones down. I don’t know what the answer is. He could just be an overly friendly guy. I am not convinced about his motives. He is a tough one to figure out. That’s for sure.
If DMI is a teacher maybe she should learn the difference between aloud and allowed. She should also learn the difference between doing stuff with a boy your own age (experimentation) and doing stuff with a man 21 years older (illegal!!).

No, that girl was 16. There were two other young girls (don’t know their ages) that wrote in a posted pictures of their experiences too. Both had never been kissed before and he kissed themboth on the mouth and talked about it with them - and made the comment about one being a good kisser. Others commented on it as well. Regardless, the man was kissing everyone — on the mouth. Young and old. Strangers. Kind of gross….and a good way to get a cold sore etc.

To who knows; I DID react at the time but a lot of the other fans, the ones I was talking to, got almost angry with me and defended Gerry like he was their brother or something, saying I overreacted and so on. You don’t understand what it was like then, the tarts (gb fans) ADORED Gerry and he could do no wrong in their eyes. It was crazy.
The 13 year old girl, I think she was a redhead, was there with her mom who was also a huge Gerry fan. I remember her very well, there are pictures of her on gb.net and I can post them if I find them.
Anyway, Gerry was busy taking photos with other fans and signing autographs but we could all se how he was checking her out.
When it was her turn he said “wow, you look like a young Britney Spears! I think I’m gonna take you home!” Yes, maybe he was joking but he MUST have seen how very young she was and to say such a thing to a girl her age and when he himself was 36 years old, it was disturbing to say the least.
There was a lot of talk about it afterwards and some fans actually accused the girl for dressing “******” and making herself look older. Granted, she DID look older than 13 but she still looked incredibly young and definitely NOT someone Gerry’s age should be talking to in that manner.

It is regards to the lady who went grocery shopping and had problems with her bags…. then the next paragraph she is at some business…….
It said “the man” helped her etc etc and wanted to go up with her and worked in the movie with Jamie Foxx…….ok….fine but any man can say/do that. IF it was Gerry why didnt she go to the movie officials, like F. Gary Gray and complain? ( AND if it was Gerry say so, his name was brought up in the next paragraph so if was him who helped her why not say so instead of saying “the man” in the beginning and then “Gerry” the next?) Then, afterwards, a black SUV appears where she was at it, a window is rolled down it is Gerry who says hello…..invites himself, the lady declines…..again, if this bothered the lady why didnt she say something? I think Swansong (chansondelange) is getting a raw deal. I don’t support all she says, but I think when one puts their tag on their comments it is really rotten to take that tag and subvert their opinions. So feckless. Man up and own what you say - you get to use a sig name for god sake.
Lonewolf, it seems clear to me. The woman didn’t know who he was and thought he looked familair. He then told her how she might know him. She then saw him again. I’m sure she was sure about his identity after he introduced himself (he said what he was doing in Philly to give context to who he was) or after seeing all the coverage of LAC on the local news and in the media in Philly during the duration of the shoot. A lawyer friend passed on the story to the blogger. They were talking about Gerry in both instances. I think you are seeing inconsistencies that aren’t there. Maybe it’s just poorly written….
Why would the woman make a complaint to the director or anyone else? He didn’t assault her. He helped her with her groceries and said hello to her a few days later. She did what most women do when they are hit on by people they are not interested in — she declined and left it at that.
Wolfy- the philly blogger isn’t a writer so he made many grammar errors. I wouldn’t read too much into these “mistakes”. To the question of why she didn’t report it to anyone is likely because Gerry wasn’t frightening, just annoying and of coarse he did help her with her groceries so why turn on him. And lets face it, women who are really abused - certainly this is not the case here- don’t report it to the powers that be. This woman would have just let it slide since nothing really bad happened. Gerry’s seems really forward or pushy, I guess in a charming way. Freak!
115 and 116-thanks for the input. True, she didnt have to complain due to fact nothing done, but I know some women who would have “run for help” because of a high fear thinking that all men are out to hurt them though most have offered help. But, many do let it slide. I would have.

I haven’t been around back then so this is the first time I’ve heard about the Leno incidents. What I really don’t get is, if these stories are true and even out on the fansites, how can anyone still gush about the beauty of his soul and BS like that??? Or dismiss all the other rumors as mean-spirited lies when they in fact are quite in accordance with the events at Leno??? This hypocrisy of the fans is making me puke. If any other man behaved like that, they’d certainly tear him to shreds.
The sad and very ugly truth is that Gerard Butler’s fans are mostly fans of the characters he plays in his films, who are more serious and heroic that he could ever be in person. GB seems never to have kicked any of the serious and sad addicition problems he has had since a teenager - maybe now it is a sex addiction instead of drink etc etc. Additionally, he is readily given access to any excess and is induldged by his management, studios and production companies who all make a great deal of money off his back Each time Just Jared or TMZ etc feature him, dollars in the bank in terms of free publicity. So, q.e.d, while the dollars keep on rolling in, they will protect him, and ridicule and supress any discent of his personal life as any publicity keeps his name in the frame. Even these comments add fuel to the fire and his team read and know that he is being discussed. One presumes that whilst his star is said to be in the ascendant, that nothing will change Unless he gets caught out big time! Sad to see, but remember that both GB, his manager and his team will be laughing all the way to the bank. I for one, don’t intend to spend a single dollar on a ticket for any movie with GB.

While I’m one of GB’s loyal fans, I will say that he has a big mouth and no filter as to what comes out of it. I really believe that most of what Gerry says is hot air aiming to be amusing and playing to what he thinks his audience wants to hear. What I read here on this site frankly is sad. It really does amaze me how easily people jump on the bandwagon to bash Gerry. You don’t even have to have proof of anything to accuse him of things.
I have been watching his career for 5 years now, not out of some crazy obsession or believing that he is one of his characters. I see him as Gerry, just a guy who happens to act for a living. His kindness and generousity is what earns him loyalty, something that many of you don’t know they meaning of or have forgotten along the way or never learned.
I am not on any high horse here, but what I have seen here on this site over the last months is really very sad and now that someone is impersonating a wonderful woman that I KNOW… shame on you! Talk about no class. You didn’t fool anyone that knows her.

This movie is not my favorite film genre. I prefer historical dramas (love the Tudors!) but I always find something to enjoy in Gerry’s films, so I’ll see TUT at least once. I think it looks promising, and he’s proving himself to have good comedic timing.
As to Gerry being gay, he has flat out denied it in an on camera interview, where he was asked if being in 300 around half naked guys made him feel gay; to which he answered, “No, because I’m not.” Even if he were gay (which I don’t believe), so what?

be smart guys - if Gerry were gay we all know that in this environment he would have been OUTED years ago. So why hasn’t he been? And, why has he always answered the question of his sexual orientation with a clear statement that “I’m not gay, I’m straight?” This isn’t rocket science folks.

You people are ******* crazy, those who think he’s a perverted sex maniac and those who think he’s a perfect saint. He’s neither; he’s a ******* contradiction. Sometimes he’s the most spiritual and sensitive person and others he’s just a silly man acting like a teenager, he can be called many things and some he certainly is. He’s immature at times, unable to commit and unstable; serious and profound and intelligent and extremely insecure. He cannot believe what’s happening to him and he’s taking advantage of every minute while it lasts, cos he knows it’s not gonna last forever. So yes, he is a mix of contradictions but one thing he is not is a bad person. He is the best friend you can hope for and would give his life for those he cares for.
It is very sad to see how people make up some stories and assume things without even knowing him, again, he’s far from being perfect but he is not a bad man.
