If DMI is a teacher maybe she should learn the difference between aloud and allowed. She should also learn the difference between doing stuff with a boy your own age (experimentation) and doing stuff with a man 21 years older (illegal!!).
If he likes them so young maybe he should get an assistant to check their id’s before they get mauled by him.

Okay, I read the comments about the fans meeting Gerry after the Leno show. I have to clear something up here. Gerry actually flirted with TWO very young girls that day. He probably flirted with more than two but those were the ones I saw lol!
It was not the 16 years old that he said he wanted to take home with him, that was a 13 year old girl. Yes, a 13 year old!!!! It is so disgusting I can’t believe that more people didn’t react at the time.

So there were TWO different young girls. I have to go now but I promise I’ll tell you more later.

who knows @ 04/16/2009 at 2:01 pm

Secret, If you were there, why didn’t you react?

No, that girl was 16. There were two other young girls (don’t know their ages) that wrote in a posted pictures of their experiences too. Both had never been kissed before and he kissed themboth on the mouth and talked about it with them - and made the comment about one being a good kisser. Others commented on it as well. Regardless, the man was kissing everyone — on the mouth. Young and old. Strangers. Kind of gross….and a good way to get a cold sore etc.

# 104, the girl he said he wanted to take home with him was 13. I was there. I heard it. Maybe he said it to the 16 year old as well, I don’t know, but he DEFINITELY said it to the 13 year old. She was (is??) a member at the gerardbutler.net forum, and so is her mother, and I remember that she actually wanted to change her screen name to “take me home tart” or something like that.

To who knows; I DID react at the time but a lot of the other fans, the ones I was talking to, got almost angry with me and defended Gerry like he was their brother or something, saying I overreacted and so on. You don’t understand what it was like then, the tarts (gb fans) ADORED Gerry and he could do no wrong in their eyes. It was crazy.

The 13 year old girl, I think she was a redhead, was there with her mom who was also a huge Gerry fan. I remember her very well, there are pictures of her on gb.net and I can post them if I find them.
Anyway, Gerry was busy taking photos with other fans and signing autographs but we could all se how he was checking her out.
When it was her turn he said “wow, you look like a young Britney Spears! I think I’m gonna take you home!” Yes, maybe he was joking but he MUST have seen how very young she was and to say such a thing to a girl her age and when he himself was 36 years old, it was disturbing to say the least.
There was a lot of talk about it afterwards and some fans actually accused the girl for dressing “******” and making herself look older. Granted, she DID look older than 13 but she still looked incredibly young and definitely NOT someone Gerry’s age should be talking to in that manner.

One word - LOLITA!!!!!

Oh these damn women who blame the girl. She wore sl*tty clothes so she asked for it. What does that sound like? Is this 1950? Evolve people!

# 97 - “it takes two to tango, ya, but the MAN leads and is responsible for the “frame” (circumstance) of the dance.lol sadly

A girl doesn’t have to be labeled innocent or victim to get protection from a situation that might not benefit her. Kids aren’t good at setting boundaries because youth is a time to break rules/boundaries. That’s why kids (boys and girls) are more easily taken advantage of by people even other young people.

I think he is gross and probably has some sort of sexual addiction or similar problem, but not because of this story. He was probably just trying to make her day. I am sure it was pretty obvious to him that she was there because of a crush on him, just like all the rest of the girls and ladies. I would take it with a grain of salt.

“damn women” is right. talk about enablers. posters have been calling for gerry to be slapped, how about kicked in the nuts instead. the women need the slap.

107 I might, I say might, agree with you if there weren’t so many other incidences of Gerry being pushy with young/teenage girls. And really, is it right to feed into a young girls fantasies in such an overt away? No matter how you want to interpret the story, he’s not right.

Just read the blog via phillychitchat.com, and there was one paragraph that stood out and didnt really make sense (referencing “the man” and then out and out naming Gerry). It is regards to the lady who went grocery shopping and had problems with her bags…. then the next paragraph she is at some business…….

It said “the man” helped her etc etc and wanted to go up with her and worked in the movie with Jamie Foxx…….ok….fine but any man can say/do that. IF it was Gerry why didnt she go to the movie officials, like F. Gary Gray and complain? ( AND if it was Gerry say so, his name was brought up in the next paragraph so if was him who helped her why not say so instead of saying “the man” in the beginning and then “Gerry” the next?) Then, afterwards, a black SUV appears where she was at it, a window is rolled down it is Gerry who says hello…..invites himself, the lady declines…..again, if this bothered the lady why didnt she say something? Not calling anyone a liar and like HughE said, the source was reliable and they are a Attorney then this source should know if you are going to point a finger have proof…..”the man” in any sense of the word can like I sad be anyone…..

Sorry, JMO. It just seems weird….one minute “the man” the next Gerry in a SUV saying hi?????? Hope Ive made sense, know what Im wanting to say just trying to put it in words.

Peace.

Meggie-

AMEN to that.

Here is the excerpt from the 4-14 Its a wrap blog via phillychitchat.com:

Rouge is on lovely Rittenhouse Square, the tony section of Philadelphia. Many of the A - list people hang out the restaurants along 18th Street and enjoy the view of the park. On the other side of the park are the luxury hotels and apartment and condo buildings. Recently someone told me of a woman that was walking home from the local grocery store. She lived in one of the more expensive buildings with a doorman and car service. As she was reaching nearing her building her grocery bag broke. A man came up behind her and asked if she needed help. He assisted her the rest of the way to where the doorman was able to grab the bags for her. As she turned to thank the man she mentioned to him that he looked familiar. He said his name and that he was filming a movie in town with Jamie Foxx. He invited himself up (maybe longing for a home cooked meal), and she turned him down saying the nanny was upstairs with her baby and she needed to tend to her. The friend who told me the story also mentioned the woman stated she was married. (The person who told me was a prominent attorney in Philly, so I am going to have to believe this story happened)
A few days later the woman was sitting outside of a coffee house Rittenhouse Square, when a black SUV pulled up. The window rolled down and Gerry said hello. He invited himself to join them, she turned him down. (She wasn’t even his type, she was blond)

True or not his public persona is becoming one of leecher and predator. His reputation with women is bad. Typically, where there is smoke there is fire.

I think Swansong (chansondelange) is getting a raw deal. I don’t support all she says, but I think when one puts their tag on their comments it is really rotten to take that tag and subvert their opinions. So feckless. Man up and own what you say - you get to use a sig name for god sake.

seems clear to me @ 04/16/2009 at 6:42 pm

Lonewolf, it seems clear to me. The woman didn’t know who he was and thought he looked familair. He then told her how she might know him. She then saw him again. I’m sure she was sure about his identity after he introduced himself (he said what he was doing in Philly to give context to who he was) or after seeing all the coverage of LAC on the local news and in the media in Philly during the duration of the shoot. A lawyer friend passed on the story to the blogger. They were talking about Gerry in both instances. I think you are seeing inconsistencies that aren’t there. Maybe it’s just poorly written….

Why would the woman make a complaint to the director or anyone else? He didn’t assault her. He helped her with her groceries and said hello to her a few days later. She did what most women do when they are hit on by people they are not interested in — she declined and left it at that.

Wolfy- the philly blogger isn’t a writer so he made many grammar errors. I wouldn’t read too much into these “mistakes”. To the question of why she didn’t report it to anyone is likely because Gerry wasn’t frightening, just annoying and of coarse he did help her with her groceries so why turn on him. And lets face it, women who are really abused - certainly this is not the case here- don’t report it to the powers that be. This woman would have just let it slide since nothing really bad happened. Gerry’s seems really forward or pushy, I guess in a charming way. Freak!

115 and 116-thanks for the input. True, she didnt have to complain due to fact nothing done, but I know some women who would have “run for help” because of a high fear thinking that all men are out to hurt them though most have offered help. But, many do let it slide. I would have.

And yes, the writing was confusing, I went back several time as a matter of fact…..trying t figure out what all was trying to be said. This is why I posted it here. As I often have said, dont belive what I hear/read, so I get clarification espically when I am reading something that I find in a sense confusing.

Again, thanks to the both of you for making more sense of the entry than what it came across as being.

Peace.

Wow, he sounds too scary now! He does have a thing for young girls..just check out TMZ Gerard Butler PYT. Well, I guess him and Mel went to the same school of morals. Too bad, I thought the movie looked really cute, but I don’t want to spend my HARD earned money on making someone who is immoral; rich and in demand. I know call me old fashioned…but if you stand for nothing you’ll fall for anything.

Gerard once told a teenage fan that she had nice tits/breasts/boobs can’t remember which word he used. She was wearing a dress that was showing a lot of cleavage and he just looked down at her boobs and made the comment. She wrote about the meeting on the Internet movie database Gerard Butler message board and even showed a picture. Weird but I guess she was kinda proud of it.

Oh I forgot to say that I think the girl was around 15 or 16.

@Swansong: Ok Mr./ Mrs. Swansong. I do know the difference between aloud and allowed. I was simply not in the mood to send another message just to correct one single word. I am sorry if your English is so impeccable and you have to bear those poor ordinary people who eventually make a mistake. But you know what? Who cares? And where did you learn to be SO polite? Too bad I didn’t express myself properly. Next time I’ll read twice what I type to avoid misspelling words and also to make sure I convey the right idea. :-) I said I don’t agree with his behavior. I never meant to say that he is not responsible for his attitude. On the contrary, not only is it illegal (as you said) but ridiculous and disgusting. Furthermore, even if the girl was 18 or 20, what sort of interest would they possibly have in common? What would they talk about, her grades at school? Of course not… he is not exactly interested in talking, is he? Can you imagine how pathetic he might have looked when kissing those girls? And concerning the point where you mention something about experimentation… just let me tell you this: Nowadays many teens start experimenting “things” at a very early age (unfortunately). By the time they turn 16/17, you have no idea what they have experimented. Believe me they don’t do things like that out of pure curiosity anymore (not at that age). That’s why I brought that up. I believe that those teenagers are not entirely unaware of what they are getting themselves into. But one thing is to say that those girls are not innocent. Something completely different is to contend that he is less guilty. Because he is not! He should be the second one to tell them to go home and do their homework! And I just say second because their parents are (or should be) the first ones to be there for them. That’s actually the reason why I questioned about these girls’ parents. Shouldn’t they be with them? And please, it is not necessary to be rude. I may not have expressed myself properly but I didn’t offend anybody.
Oh, yes, if you find any other mistake, let me know. I’ll be more than happy for having someone so dedicated to improving my English. :-) Thanks a lot!

One word about the Gerry flirting with teens deal: AWKWARD! Is he a vampire searching for new blood? The fan encounter stories on GB.net were/are quite funny. Some were so enamoured by the man they needed to take the rose colored glasses of to realize he was insulting them. Didn’t he say that people wouldn’t like him if they really got to know him? He has the word ‘ASS’ stamped on his forehead.

Kimberley @ 04/17/2009 at 1:15 am

Gerry to some fans at the Leno gathering:
‘So how long have you been here?’

Fans:
‘We’ve been here since 3 a m.’

Gerry:
‘Really? I was having sex at 3 a m.’

Yep. True story.

who knows @ 04/17/2009 at 1:23 am

You all act like you are the moral police. Just keep your girls away from him or warn them, then you won’t have to worry about him kissing them. What’s the big deal? He’s not that scary. So you believe he is a bit of a perve. He won’t be the first or the last.

DMI-
There’s a big difference between sexually experienced and SOCIALLY experienced. SOME of these girls may know what there getting into sexually with a man ~ may even enjoy it~ but not the added social/emotional consequences, especially if Gerry strings girls along. Considering an older man is likely to have more money, resources and in this case fame than a boy, he could really mess with her head. {I would guess this is the same for gay boys dating older men.} Many kids are still experimenting (sexually and socially) at 16-17 and even into their twenties. In this case it would be experimenting with an older, famous man. Forget all this sh*t about the girl being innocent or not; it shouldn’t even be part of the conversation.
