Gerard Butler: I Heart You!
Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl get cute with hearts in this new poster for their upcoming rom-com The Ugly Truth, out in July.
Plot details: A romantically challenged morning-show producer (Heigl) is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her male chauvinist correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and allow her to find love. His clever ploys, however lead to an unexpected result.

#122-123 I’ve also noticed how unaware Gerry’s fans are about some of the awful things he’s said right in front of them. I thought I was the only one to see it. Glad to hear from you two. Some people/fans are obviously seriously bewitched and he’s quite happy to take advantage of their delusions.

Like the idea of morality police for GB. They could keep his crazy fans away and keep his ass in line. Problem solved!
I haven’t been around back then so this is the first time I’ve heard about the Leno incidents. What I really don’t get is, if these stories are true and even out on the fansites, how can anyone still gush about the beauty of his soul and BS like that??? Or dismiss all the other rumors as mean-spirited lies when they in fact are quite in accordance with the events at Leno??? This hypocrisy of the fans is making me puke. If any other man behaved like that, they’d certainly tear him to shreds.
The sad and very ugly truth is that Gerard Butler’s fans are mostly fans of the characters he plays in his films, who are more serious and heroic that he could ever be in person. GB seems never to have kicked any of the serious and sad addicition problems he has had since a teenager - maybe now it is a sex addiction instead of drink etc etc. Additionally, he is readily given access to any excess and is induldged by his management, studios and production companies who all make a great deal of money off his back Each time Just Jared or TMZ etc feature him, dollars in the bank in terms of free publicity. So, q.e.d, while the dollars keep on rolling in, they will protect him, and ridicule and supress any discent of his personal life as any publicity keeps his name in the frame. Even these comments add fuel to the fire and his team read and know that he is being discussed. One presumes that whilst his star is said to be in the ascendant, that nothing will change Unless he gets caught out big time! Sad to see, but remember that both GB, his manager and his team will be laughing all the way to the bank. I for one, don’t intend to spend a single dollar on a ticket for any movie with GB.

While I’m one of GB’s loyal fans, I will say that he has a big mouth and no filter as to what comes out of it. I really believe that most of what Gerry says is hot air aiming to be amusing and playing to what he thinks his audience wants to hear. That’s probably how a lot of the womanizing stories got started in the first place. While I believe he’s no angel, I think is bark is a lot worse than his bite. Maybe he should just shut up…to his own advantage!! Oh well, he makes me smile and not much does.
When I met him, what he said kind of caught me off guard. But I agree with pafan, he doesn’t filter what he says. He is a hard one to figure out. I think this makes him interesting. Everybody is so politically correct these days. Afraid we might step on someone’s toes. It gets old and boring. Lighten up! He could be like every other actor and ignore everyone. He is not a snob. But you all are going to try and shut him up. Too bad.

There is no real proof that any of this has happened, no word of mouth can be taken as gospel truth. Everyone seems so readily to accept the worst in this man instead of giving the benefit of the doubt. You keep rehashing all the same old things, at some point you have to give this a rest and move on to another target. Gerry blatently denies he is gay and yet you accuse him of that. You have him going after young girls and that hasn’t been prooved either. The 16 year old was with her mother and it was her Birthday and Gerry was her first kiss… first innocent kiss.
At some point you people have to get a conscience and quite with the malace. Look at yourself in the mirror and see what others could make up about you and see how you like it. You have even taking on the identity of a loyal Gerry fan and make it look like she is ripping him apart. what is wrong with you all!

I’m not here to say Gerry is an angel but he is single. What he does on his off time is HIS business. From observing him afar..I see he is great with his fans and he has succeeded in doing what he loves…acting.

In this country, people are usually innocent until proven guilty. You have all slandered this man based on gossip site posts and blogs You are basically accusing him of having sex with minors, and it is all based on rumors and half-truths.

It amazes me that people can be this vindictive and hateful to someone they do not even know.

#140 If you read all my entries, I am a fan. Try reading the info given before you start directing your anger to the wrong people. Get your facts straight. To me you are just as annoying as the critics. And Swansong have you been living under a rock? There are always going to be people that don’t like him. None of these posts accuse him of what you say in yours. But now you have said it. I don’t think that helps Gerry at all. You sit on your high horse as if you are the end all of a Gerry fan. I am tired of hearing your song.

Gerry is innocent of everything he has been accused of! He is a wonderful wonderful man and has only slept with two women in his life. He loves children and that was why he was nice to the 13 year old and gave her her first kiss.
He is the Phantom of the Opera and I am his Christine. You will all see when he comes and sweeps me off my feet and takes me to his dungeon lair and makes sweet sweet love to me. Then you will really hear my song!
