Rachel Bilson: InStyle’s New Fashion Editor!
Rachel Bilson has scored herself a monthly column as a fashion editor in InStyle.
The Q&A is called “Ask Rachel” and stars with the May 2009 issue (with Jennifer Garner on the cover).
“I am not planning on quitting my day job to be a full-time fashion editor, although I am really enjoying it and it intrigues me very much,” Rachel tells WWD. “I’m actually flattered more than anything that people want to ask me questions about style. I am honored to do it.”
She adds, “I can talk about fashion all day long, and I am an avid InStyle reader so the relationship seemed perfect! This column is the best homework assignment ever!”

This was a fun read, maybe one of the negative posters here can ask her some questions and tear her apart if she answers, because I’m sure you qualify as fashion experts. Those in the positive can ask some questions and be happy-do agree with the scarf idea Rachel wears them well, I can’t afford the handbags but I can adapt, and coming up to winter where I live, I’ll be buying a few new ones of both.

She is beautiful. One of the last pretty actresses. Every one seems to be so ugly these days- like the horses- Jen Garner and Anne Hathaway.

@Sharon would love to read her answer-but I don’t think she has to defend it-it has been sold out, no idea what the terms of contact was written maybe a one off thing, the fashion favourite Mrs B did not fair so lucky, she got dumped and had to find someone else–but her stuff was very high in price.

The talk about not giving up her day job is really the best joke in all of this (which is a joke in itself already). And I fully believe she can talk about fashion all day, uh, how very interesting this must be, especially for a man sharing her company. :lol:
Personally I think RB would have really beautiful hair if she ever did something with it - even after leaving the hairdresser it doesn’t seem well-groomed. With her hair’s length and consistence she could wear the most special hair-creations. Liked the old-style-cuts of Drew Barrymore recently a lot, but also if wearing the hair all open one could do more than RB does or has done.

I highly deduced that RaTchel is a touchy-feely type and could hold, hug or look intimate w/ anyone (even on a no-malice basis) but so “not” (candidly & spontaneously) w/ her un-official bff / fiancée… How total ironic is that?!

Someone else posted this comment in another thread. I agree that it does seem unfair when celebs seem to get things for “free”, but I respect are the ones who realise that they’re lucky to get the oppertunities and work hard once they get them. I think that’s what’s so annoying about her - she doesn’t put effort into anything - like being an actress. She never pushes herself and always talks likes she reading her lines off the page - it’s so insulting to other talented people. Insulting to the term actress!! It’s not like she’s aware of her limits and go with it. Acting just seems to be something she dabs into every now and then. Hopefully with this fashion thing she’ll disappear from acting and let others have a go. Another rich girl with too much time on her hands

You know some celebrities are good at heart …donating their time and money ,and clothes I hear alot of ppl say they would love to look at Rachel’s closet from all the shopping and freebies she gets from endorsments just seems to me she could also do as these celebrities have done.

It seems that the only things that this never-been’s supporters ever can say is all about how she looks, her hair, her clothes, her shoes, her bags and so on. I have never read comments from the tabloids post anything about this girlet doing something beyond that.
To all those teeny-weeny fans who hope to look like her; well if you are rich and have no cares in the world, (still) officially single, no stable career to work on, and just all-by-herself all throughout most of the time; then yes it is possible to be doing all these “day jobs” on a regular basis; shopping, dining, shopping, personal grooming, shopping, travelling, shopping, walking the dog, shopping, family/bff outings out & about, shopping and still more shopping till the end (lol).
Other than that stop making her out like she is some rare specimen because she is not, she is a just a typical/average girl with money & influence (but more like manipulation)

Couldn’t agree more - it’s all superficial. No substance. I mean, no-one even talks about her talent acting-wise (cause she has none!)
Even Hayden, whose acting skills have always been debatble, has had at least some people praising his work.
