Angelina Jolie: War of Necessity, War of Choice
Angelina Jolie arrives on the set of her latest movie Salt in New York City on Thursday morning (April 23).
The 33-year-old actress was seen carrying around the book “War of Necessity, War of Choice: A Memoir of Two Iraq Wars’ by Richard N. Haass. Part history, part memoir, the book provides a compass for how the United States can apply the lessons learned from the two Iraq wars so that it is better positioned to put into practice what worked and to avoid repeating what so clearly did not.

RE: POST #542 & OTHERS IN RESPONSE TO IT- PLEASE SAY SOMETHING SENSIBLE! HOW DARE YOU. STAY OUT OF PROBLEMATIC TALK. I DONT CARE WHO YOU WERE RESPONDING TO, BUT THAT IS ONE OF THE STUPIDEST COMMENTS I HAVE EVER READ. I AM SURE ANGELINA JOLIE WOULD NEVER SUPPORT YOU IN SUCH COMMENTS. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF YOUR COMMENTS AND STOP JUMPING ON PEOPLE. ANGELINA TAKES A HIGHER ROAD AND STAYS OUT OF PROBLEM TALK. WHENEVER YOU SAY OR DO SOMETHING… STOP YOURSELF AND ASK, “WHAT WOULD AJ DO?” AND DO EXACTLY WHAT SHE WOULD DO. CAUSE I AM CERTAIN SHE IS NOT TOO HAPPY WITH CERTAIN FANS. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT RESPONDING TO ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN NEGATIVE IS THE ROUTE TO TAKE. TAKE ANGER OUT OF IT. TAKE THE NEGATIVE AND TURN IT INTO THE POSITIVE. WE SHOULD ALL BE ABOUT LOVE HERE. SHINE A LIGHT IN THE MIDST OF DARKNESS. THAT IS HOW OUR SPIRITULAITY GROWS. AND INSULTING SOMEONE ELSE’S MOTHER IS JUST DOWNRIGHT DISTASTEFUL, WHETHER OR NOT THEY WERE IN THE WRONG.
It’s so funny that I am probably one of the most honest and open about my background and you choose to believe that I am lying because my opinions don’t fit in your belief box.
First and Last Post: you make a much more eloquent and coherent argument than the others on here; at least your are intelligent. The flaw in your argument is that you base it all on an analytical model, whereas, and without taking from the validity of your basis, I base my own on human experience, belief and principle. Is it subjective? Yes. Could it be flawed? Yes. Is it applicable in all cases? No. Could it be applicable in this particular case? Maybe not, maybe yes. For the large part, from my own personal experience both in my own personal life and work, beliefs and principle, I agree that different things work for different situations. I have an open mind and even was a big believer in my earlier youth in having a full-time career after kids; however, after living the situation first-hand, discussing these issues with other nannies, and observing the children who grew up with full-time nannies, I formed an opinion otherwise. I just don’t agree with bringing children into this world or committing to being a parent and leaving them for such extended periods of time to be practically raised by others. You don’t have to agree and you may choose to base what a child needs/deserves on an analytical model…but I think you’re failing to take account obligations and principles behind your analysis.
MIMI: If your educational and professional backgrounds are indeed are you state them, it is quite sad that you still come across as such an uneducated and immature person (given the level your celebrity obsessions) despite said backgrounds.
To whoever said that it isn’t true that I am from a highly educated and successful family if I was a nanny…you’re only proving your own ignorance and preconceptions. I won’t even bother any longer with that one…
She looks gorgeous and sophisticated.
She is 100% preggo!!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie most powerful celeb couple
.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the most powerful celebrity couple on the planet, with a greater star status than even the Beckhams, a new study showed.
.
12:07AM BST 09 May 2009
.
Using a formula to work out how much stronger they are together than they would be individually, the A-listers get a perfect score of 30 out of 30, ahead of 25 for David and Victoria.
.
But at least this is considerably higher than the mere 2.7 scored by Wayne and Coleen Rooney, showing they have some way to go to become football’s genuine power couple.
.
At the bottom of the list compiled by heartburn and indigestion brand Gaviscon Double Action is TV presenting pair Vernon Kay and Tess Daly who could only manage a lowly two points out of 30.
.
Psychotherapist Paula Hall was commissioned to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of celebrity couples using a Power of Two formula to see how well they work as a power couple.
.
The formula measures factors such as current and future earning power, public profile, career to date and predicted time left on the centre stage as a celebrity couple.
.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, nicknamed TomKat, reached a respectable 18.3 for their joint success as a Hollywood golden couple.
.
Like Pitt and Jolie and the Beckhams, they have considerable earning power as a couple, not just as individuals with both partners contributing towards their overall fame, talent and success.
.
Others in this category include, for instance, rapper Jay-Z and partner Beyonce Knowles who have a Power of Two score of 17.5 and actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith who score 15.5.
.
According to Paula Hall’s calculations, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick score 14.5 but Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow only manage ten out of 30.
.
1 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (30)
2 David and Victoria Beckham (25)
3 Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (18.3)
4 Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles (17.5)
5 Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith (15.5)
6 Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick (14.5)
7 Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow (10)
8 Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher (3.8)
9 Wayne Rooney and Coleen Rooney (2.7)
10 Vernon Kay and Tess Daly (2)

Ugly Betty star MARK INDELICATO plays America Ferrera’s fashion-conscious nephew Justin Suarez on the hit ABC series. JustJared.com had the pleasure of interviewing the 14-year-old actor, who wants to give Miley Cyrus a bit of fashion advice, start up a music career and do the “Angelina Jolie” thing.
.
JJ: Besides the Ugly Betty cast, who are some of your favorite actors?
.
Mark: Angelina Jolie is my favorite. I’ve never met her before, but I just know she’s amazing…..
.
JJ: When you start doing movies, what kind of movies do you want to do?
.
Mark: I want to do drama - no one really sees that. People just think I’m the funny guy and I can’t do anything else, and that’s just not true. And I want to do an action movie so badly, it just has to happen at some point in my career. I have to do an action movie. Like, I want to do the Angelina Jolie thing - the guns and the blowing things up.

R&B’s Ciara writes songs, her own ticket on ‘Fantasy Ride’
.
……..Though CIARA says she “wouldn’t mind doing more musicals,” she is itching to do an action-adventure movie, “maybe something like Die Hard. .
.
Or I could have an Angelina Jolie moment, do something like she did in Tomb Raider. I love that kind of stuff - the power in it, you know?”

MARK MILLAR (writer of Wanted):.
…..I don’t want to be famous. The nice thing about being a writer is that you get all the kudos from the readers, you get invited the all the cool parties, but nobody outside the industry knows what you look like. In the last three or four years I’ve worked with some really famous people and see what fame means. To get the money, to get the lifestyle, actors have to sell a part of themselves and become public property. Being even one step removed from Angelina Jolie, I was shocked how quickly that became a whirlwind. One newspaper asked me: “Did you enjoy hanging out with Angelina?” and every single sentence I said, and I didn’t say much, was published. Even tiny details like what she was watching on DVD when I was in her trailer. I read that in my wife’s OK magazine. I couldn’t believe it - a whole article on what she was watching on DVD. Imagine if I actually revealed what we sat and chatted about.

Angelina Wants to Klingon to Spock
May 11, 2009
.
STAR Trek actor Leonard Nimoy has warned Brad Pitt to “look out”.
For it has emerged Angelina Jolie has “always been in love” with his character Spock.
.
The sci-fi icon appeared alongside Zachary Quinto - who plays the young Spock in the latest Trek film - on US TV chat show Late NightWith Jimmy Fallon.
.
ZACHARY QUINTO certainly had words to brighten up 78-year-old Nimoy’s night.
.
He said: “I had the pleasure around Academy Awards season to meet Angelina Jolie at a party and she said, and this will make you feel good, ‘I’ve always been in love with the real Mr Spock’.”
.
As the audience cheered, a stunned LEONARD NIMOY said: “Wow.”
.
A few seconds later, having regained his composure, he added: “Brad, look out!”
