Angelina Jolie: War of Necessity, War of Choice

PT, I posted the below on the previous thread about Brad’s flying. I am reposting it only because I didn’t want that statement youfound about Jodie Foster and Patricia Cornwall to go unanswered. Cornwall and Foster have both been the victims of crazy stalkers. We all know Jodie’s story but Cornwall had her own Jolie-hater type internet stalker and decided to fight back.

Here’s my post:

PT, that is not true about Cornwall. Foster never did any such thing.

There was a crazy incident in which she was sort of involved in 1996 or 1997. Cornwall had an affair with a married female FBI agent and her husband, also FBI, got crazy and claimed this was the reason. He took a minister hostage using a fake bomb in his church in Manassas VA (suburb of D.C.) and tried to lure his wife there. He claimed he was driven crazy by his wife’s affair with Cornwall. The affair was admitted to by at least either Cornwall or the wife or both of them. I don’t remember now.

In 1997 the husband received a 23 year sentence for the plot to kidnap and murder his wife - I seem to recall dynamite sticks in the trunk of a car involved. I think his name was Bennett.

That Jolie is taking on this role is interesting because Cornwall has been stalked and attacked relentlessly on the internet by this guy [ Leslie Sachs] for ages. He wrote all kinds of vile stuff about her and claimed she did illegal things. The guy was a magna *** laude grad of Harvard with numerous degrees including a doctorate - so much for crazy internet freaks bragging about their exalted schools and inteligence. Crazy doesn’t limit itself to educational types or IQ levels - crazy is an equal opportunity employer. Anyway he tried to make her life miserable and “take her down.” Gee, where have we heard that before?

Anyway, Cornwall eventually sued this guy for defamation and won. Myabe even more than once. She has very good lawyers. Her case illustrates though the difficulty in going after internet character assassination. Though her case was a while ago and lawyers have become much more savvy & creative recently in going after internet defamation. In fact her lawyers have taken the Court order against this “defamer” to the internet providers and I think they have it so any link to that guy or any of his sites, etc. redirects you to the court order that essentially says he is a liar and these things are lies.

These ignorant defamers think that if you put IMO or JMHO after some defamatory statement that it automatically exempts them from libel. As if it is some protective talisman. LOL! It doesn’t. It isn’t. They don’t quite get it.

Maybe Cornwall will inspire Jolie to go after these internet lunatics and shut down their lies and defamation. Or maybe not. Jolie is quite zen about these things. She seems to just let them roll off her back.

See. I told you all that there was this great small airport near their Long Island home [ maybe 10 miles away ] that provided all kinds of flying sevices. From private lessons to mechanical work on your plane to chartered executive plane service. This is really an ideal location for them on many levels.

I think we’re getting more pics now because the paps have finally figured out their haunts or have paid off enough tipsters. Someone was suggesting that there were pics of the JPs going into the Stop & Shop. Has anyone seen anything like that?

Now that AJ is seen with this seemingly new and “not-easy-to-read” kind of book, expect a lot of people will be looking forward to buy this. Her influence, though indirectly or unintentionally, is that strong & can make people curious enough to read the book themselves and learn something from it.

Dont forget she is filming an action film so doubt that she is preggers.. and since there are some fans here with info that she may be filming a cemetry scene, this look may be for that.

And who was the poster who claimed that they didnt look like a Barbie, while raising her kids.. well guess what neither does Ange, she looks healthy and beautiful and is raising the kids just fine. And to all those women who think its absolutely impossible to read a book or look good while raising children, I hear you.. but you have to make time for yourself or the mommy guilt thing will envelop you. Make time to look good and start with a short story and graduate to a book.. and believe me, you can do it.. Have faith..

In case clarification is necessary: the affair was just betwee Cornwall and the married FBI female agent. Her FBI husband was not part of the affair. The FBI husband took the minister hostage in the minister’s church. I think the husband was planning to blow up the wife with the dynamite.

Also, in case anyone is interested I believe Cornwall married her partner in Massachusetts. I wonder if there was any conflict between Foster and Cornwall over the fact that Cornwall is proudly out and Foster never had the courage to come out. And, yes, I think with Jodie it is about courage. She could have been a great spokesperson for gay & lesbian rights and gay family rights when they really needed it.

She has plenty of time to read during film breaks. Sometimes an actor will be on camera filming maybe one hour during ten. The rest of the time they are in the dressing room. Just depends on how the shoots go for the day. Folks like Jolie, Kidman, Clooney et al are professional enough that they don’t bit*ch and moan and cause a disruption because they aren’t the center of attention unlike a Lohan et al.
And you know there was once a People Mag spread on Mary Tyler Moore with a picture of over a hundred needlepoint pillows she made during her breaks. So if MTM can finish over 100 pillows doing a slow art like needlepoint, I’m sure AJ can finish a book now and then.,

who knows, but we do know that jennifer is filming with Brad’s ex Julliete lewis. You know the one he dated when she was 15 and he was 26? why don’t you go chew on that and leave Angelina out of it.

it’s funny there’s not more on Aniston working with Lewis. Now that’s interesting stuff that some people would get a kick out of. Why not write some stories on that? I wonder what Julliete and Jennifer talk about on set? I wonder if they get along, etc. So much to work with and it’s being ignored. LMAO!! Focus is still on the Jolie.
