Reese Witherspoon Shines Beanie Bright

Reese Witherspoon laughs with a gal pal outside the UCLA softball field in Los Angeles on Wednesday (April 22).

Minutes earlier, the 33-year-old actress had met with the Bruins Women’s Softball team on the softball field. She and costar Owen Wilson have been brushing up on their softball/baseball skills for their upcoming movie, which is being directed by James L. Brooks (1997’s As Good as It Gets).

Reese looked mighty comfortable in a beanie, rolled-up boyfriend jeans and Chuck Taylor Converse shoes.

You don’t see her with her kids much anymore. I think that is related to the fact that you don’t see Ryan much with them either. I think she and Ryan were in a competition to show the world they were “caring” parents and now have called a truce. It probably got awfully tiresome to have to trot out the kids for show every few days.
