Brad Pitt Supports Salt

Brad Pitt Supports Salt

Brad Pitt stops by to visit Angelina Jolie on set of her new film Salt in New York on Thursday (April 23).

While in New York, the 45-year-old actor has been busy training to be a pilot.

In the movie Salt, Angie’s character jumps off the top of a tanker truck on the 787 ramp, which was recently shot in Albany, NY. Today, they will reportedly be filming a car chase through a traffic jam, Fox reports. A stunt driver for the scene said, “They tell you what speed you have to be at and you follow the car in front of you and then you have to back up to your original mark and do it again and again while they have the stunt cars going in and out of you.”

The couple that SUPPORTS each other in every endeavor his/her significant other takes, STAYS TOGETHER….as they truly LOVE each other.
.
BP & AJ have shown that several times. They really have found the SECRET & FORMULA of loving and committed relationship.
.
And maybe we can learn a thing or two from their example.
.
Deal with it.

how the wishful thinkers will try to spin this…

they’re acting for the cameras. they are over but not ready to announce it yet so they stage this photo op togetherness

brad is actually bringing her papers to sign…custody papers perhaps. this is a meeting to arrange visitation or who gets which kid and who gets what property

brad is informing angelina that he will be visiting jen aniston on the baster set

so…which one is it haters?

@#19: I was going to say exactly the same thing. Don’t give the Loonifers any ideas.
.

seriously @ 04/24/2009 at 9:08 am

you’re an idiot if you believed they’ve split. i mean, seriously.

what a GOOD MORNING to wake up indeed!

OH my that can’t be Brad. Remember they have split. Why would he be visiting her on the set.. LMAO

I’m sure he has made many visits. Just because we don’t see it does not mean it has not happened. I’m sure the twins are on the set while the older ones are in school.

Cant wait to see them on the red carpet at Cannes. Ben Button will be released in a few days. I am so excited. Can’t wait to buy it. Brad will be doing some interviews and press soon. More Brange..

LOVING IT… haters eat your hearts out. They are not going anywhere.

Have a great day JP fans.

melt my heart @ 04/24/2009 at 9:14 am

Looking good Mr Pitt!!
Thanks JJ

a total fan @ 04/24/2009 at 9:18 am

They both have always gone on to the set to visit each other. So nice that they take time out of their day to support each other in thier work. And they have Jolie climbing building , sliding down walls, in boat with different disguises, and now a car chase. I can not wait to see this movie.

Brad can’t be without his one and only love. They will be always together… forever. :-)

Take 2 for film, traffic
Jolie movie ‘Salt’ adds spice to commute

Officials had feared that closing chunks of Interstate 787 to film an Angelina Jolie movie would tie up traffic, but it was actually the curious who caused backups Thursday when they stopped to watch Jolie’s double perform stunts on a ramp above Madison Avenue.

Hooked to a harness, the high-flying double leaped from the top of a moving tanker truck as crews filmed a scene for “Salt,” an action-thriller in which Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a 1970s era CIA operative accused of being a double agent.

The stunt double could be seen jumping off the truck several times and then three times more as crew members threw it into gear and let it rumble partway down one of the closed highway ramps above downtown Albany. With each jump she dangled and swung out over the highway. Motorists stopped on Broadway and Madison Avenue below to lean out of their car windows for a closer look.

“Is Angelina here yet?” one man shouted.

Alas, she’s not. But she will be very soon.

Word came late Thursday that Jolie is expected to be in Albany on Sunday to shoot her parts of the scene. The confirmation was from a person familiar with the planning. There is no official word on whether Jolie will be here for any of the shoot, which is expected to last until May 4.

Still, most people were enthusiastic about Hollywood’s arrival to the area. “Yay, Albany!” exclaimed one woman who came by Madison to take a look. “We needed an oomph.”

Jon Zafra, who takes the I-787 throughout the day for work, said it could be an inconvenience to some, but the benefits outweigh the costs. “You’re asking a guy and if Angelina Jolie is there, it’s worth it,” he chuckled.

http://blog.canadianbusiness.com/meet-mr-jones-americas-green-jobs-czar/

Entire article at link
By: Rachel Pulfer

Van Jones is a powerhouse. There’s no other way to describe him. The one-time community-activist has taken his poverty- and pollution-busting agenda all the way from the nonprofit he founded in Oakland CA to the White House. As of the past four weeks, Jones is the special advisor on green jobs, enterprise and innovation to Nancy Sutley, the chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality. In other words, he’s President Barack Obama’s green jobs czar.

The second sticking point with Jones’s plan is, how to encourage the private sector investment necessary to fund demand for the green collar jobs the Administration is touting. From this point of view, it’s hard to see developers or under-water homeowners lining up to invest in expensive retrofits in the current economic environment.

Working in Jones’s favour, however, is new support at both the federal and state level for massive incentive programs encouraging developers to build green. Consider the generous system of tax credits to offset the upfront costs of green homes currently being piloted by the Republican state administration of Gov. Bobby Jindal in Louisiana. The first home built to standard under this new system is a single-family-dwelling constructed by Brad Pitt’s Make It Right foundation in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. According to New Orleans, LA-based architect Gerry Billes, whose firm designed the home, that homeowner’s energy bill last month was US$3.

The latest Angelina Jolie movie “Salt” being filmed in Albany is expected to pump $3.5 million dollars into the city.

Local hotels are happy to hear it.

Todd Reichelt is the general manager of the Crown Plaza in downtown Albany. Earlier this week he encountered an unexpected surprise with the arrival of crews from the major motion picture.

“Pretty much unannounced - last minute they booked with us and it was a great surprise.”

Reichelt says it’s been a very tough year financially.

“It’s off… as compared to prior years… and obviously we’re down quite a bit.”

150 production crew members needing a place to stay over the next two weeks was a much welcomed change.

“Oh it was like a gift… It’s good for us it’s good for all the hotels downtown,” says Reichelt.

The film crews will be good for business all around.

“People are going to need to eat and drink and shop while they’re here in Albany County says Deb Goedeke, services Manager of the Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Columbia Pictures is spreading the wealth by utilizing many local companies.

“They’re using union labor employees, sag employees, all locals here in the area… local catering companies, renting parking lots,” says Goedeke.

Goedeke says the closed roads. And traffic detours are well worth it in the long run.

“It will all work out for everybody.”

Things that go bump on the Croisette

Ghosts, vampires and Nazis will elbow the auteurs on the Croisette at Cannes next month.

Today’s announced Official Selection lineup for the 62nd Cannes Film Festival (May 13 to 24) has many of the usual cinematic suspects, including new films by Quentin Tarantino, Michael Haneke, Jane Campion, Ang Lee, Lars von Trier, Ken Loach and Pedro Almodóvar.

More significant, perhaps, the slate is heavy with genre movies, the supernatural, blood-soaked kind not often associated with such a prestigious cultural event. Could the scary events of the real world have prompted an artistic leap into the fantastic?

Two of the spook shows also happen to be among the tenuous Canadian connections at Cannes this year, one of which will compete for the Palme d’Or, the top prize.

Gaspar Noé’s Enter the Void, a ghost story filmed in Montreal and Tokyo, stars Nathaniel Brown and Paz de la Huerta as siblings – a drug dealer and a stripper – who become caught between the worlds of the living and the dead. Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, a Canada-France co-production filmed in Vancouver and London, is the final film starring Heath Ledger, who died during production in 2008. Ledger’s conjuror who makes a deal with the devil for immortality is also played by Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell.

Also out of competition, and screening in the midnight section, is Drag Me to Hell by U.S. horrormeister Sam Raimi, who took a break from Spider-Man to return to his ghastly roots with a chiller about a loans officer (Alison Lohman) condemned by a satanic curse after she denies a mortgage extension to an elderly woman.

The scary stuff isn’t confined just to the witching hour. Notables amongst the 20 competitors for the Palme are scary, nasty and quirky films.

The horror drama Antichrist, by Denmark’s von Trier, stars Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg as a couple haunted in the remote forest cabin they move to following the death of their son.

Vengeance, by Hong Kong genre ace Johnnie To, stars French rock icon Johnny Hallyday as a hitman-turned-chef.

Thirst, by To’s fellow South Korean, Park Chan-wook, is a vampire story about a small-town priest who craves blood after a medical experiment goes awry.

Keenly anticipated is Tarantino’s World War II thriller Inglourious ********, starring Brad Pitt as leader of a squad of Allies sworn to each bag 100 Nazi scalps.

Fascists of a different kind figure in Austrian Haneke’s The White Ribbon, a look at the rise of storm-trooper psychology at a German school during WWI.

More conventional auteur statements will be provided by such festival faves as Spain’s Almodóvar, whose Broken Embraces stars Penélope Cruz in a puzzle motif about a blinded filmmaker who seeks to put his life together; New Zealand’s Campion, whose Bright Star counts the stanzas of the 19th-century romance between poets John Keats and Fanny Brawne; and England’s Loach, delivering Looking for Eric, about a troublesome young soccer fan who seeks counsel from an unusual mentor.

Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock is a laugher about the shenanigans behind the quintessential rock event.

Also at Cannes, but not part of the official slate, a peek at Disney’s 3-D reinvention of A Christmas Carol, starring Jim Carrey in multiple roles. It’s believed there will be a photo-op stunt on the Croisette to promote the film, which would be perfectly in tune with this year’s genre-rich fest.

Summit launches four at Cannes including new Pattinson romance
Summit Entertainment is presenting four new titles to buyers at Cannes this year including two new Summit productions - a romantic drama starring Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson and a generational love story set in Italy starring Amanda Seyfried.

Pattinson is starring in Remember Me which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Summit is also representing sales on two productions from Bill Pohlad’s River Road Entertainment – Doug Liman’s Fair Game featuring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts and The Runaways, a biopic of the 70s girl band starring Twilight’s Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett.

Fair Game, which reunites Summit with Mr & Mrs Smith director Liman, is a true life drama about the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson after her husband Ambassador Joseph Wilson accused the US government of manipulating evidence to justify the invasion of Iraq. It starts shooting next week.

The Runaways is being directed by first timer Floria Sigismondi and produced by Art Linson. Dakota Fanning (who also has a role in New Moon) is scheduled to co-star alongside Stewart playing Runaways lead singer Cheri Currie.

Summit previously handled sales on River Road’s Tree Of Life directed by Terrence Malick and starring Brad Pitt and Penn which opens at the end of this year.

Happy TGIF to all the fans and all the good Moms with maids and 2 children and still cannot cope; the good nanny that has time to blog all day; the lonely ex sitcom star in her hotel room in New York who has time to blog and waiting on her next PR romance; the deranged nutjobs; the whiny hens; and fug face stalker. Have a great day!!!!!

Holly, Jolie’s ex-assistant, is talking to Ian. This is getting good. I love a good train wreck.

Well of course Brad is visiting his wife Angelina. He’s always done that. So has she

quentin carmicheal @ 04/24/2009 at 9:29 am

squee I can’t wait for Cannes.

hakuna matata @ 04/24/2009 at 9:31 am

i can imagine the trolls disappointment.

Jolie Pitt for life!!!

go back to your planet @ 04/24/2009 at 9:33 am

aww… saturn is trying to make up another story. sweet!

Not a fan of Aniston, but a loser in lover would be a better choice than a drug-addicted, brother-fukking, child-collecting, crazy woman. Loons are always harping about JA being dumped but ignore the fact that their idol has been dumped several times herself. At least JA gets the handsome men, while Jolie was shagging Billy Bob Thornton….ugh!

i love seeing them doing little things like this. it’s very sweet. i hope he’d bring the kids next time specially the twins.
