Hugh Jackman is a Disneyland Dude

Tom married Kate being 16 older than her but when it comes to women as Demi Moore for instance that married Ashton who is 16 older her junior people talk a lot about the age difference, as it happens now with Hugh and his wife.
I didn’t even realize that the children are adoptee, I was never really that concerned about his personal life… I think she looks great for her age. I think adopted children are equal to the biological one. When you adopt a child it means you really want that child, you spend a lot of your time you have to proof lots of things, basically you really have to want it, it’s not just copulate and voilà. He looks happy with his familly that’s what really matters, and after all in life we always wonder what if, about lots of decisions we had to take .I don’t think he’ll get crazy because he didn’t have biological children.

I have been a fan of the Jackmans—yes, both of them—for years. I have met them both and met people who have worked with them, and each day my admiration and respect grows because this is a genuinely kind and down to earth couple. I wish them all the success in the world because they genuinely deserve it. If you agree, quit reading now because I am about to lose my temper.

I usually avoid the comments on these picture postings because I know what I’m going to see. Congratulations, you have outdone yourselves.

To the guy who says Deb couldn’t have kids because she’s 53 and “dried up”–You think she’s been 53 forever? You’re an idiot. Hugh and Deb had been married almost 20 years. That’s 10 years of trying before they chose to adopt. (And for the record, they always planned to adopt. It’s not ’settling’ for them.)

To the people who are using Christian Bale as the bright and shining example that Hugh and all other celebrities should aspire to—Really? Christian Bale? -That’s- who you came up with? If I’m going for celebrity adulation, I’d pick Hugh with his consistent politeness and down to earth behavior over a guy whose mother and sister call the cops on him and who is capable of that horrible and inexcusable rant we all heard, regardless of his post-rant apology. He shouldn’t have done it in the first place. If you want to mention a celebrity who is both kind and keeps his kids out of the limelight, may I suggest Ewan McGregor? McGregor, though, has the advantage of living in a country where it is illegal to take photos of children without parental permission. Hugh Jackman and other celebrities do not.

As for Hugh ‘pimping out his kids’–They are at Disneyland. Taking pictures is what you do there. Hugh does not take his kids to premieres. (He took them to his Walk of Fame event only after much discussion and because it was a once in a lifetime thing and he wanted them included.) He does not stand them in place and let paps take their photos. He and his family go about their business like any other family. Are they supposed to stay holed up at home? The paps follow them. Not the other way around. The paps are doing their job to take photos of people who sell magazines. If you feel that Hugh or any celebrity is having his/her privacy violated, then don’t look at the pictures. Don’t click on them. Don’t comment on them. Doing so shows your desire to see pictures of celebrities. If you object to the children being photographed, then don’t click on pictures of the children, and send a letter to “Jared” asking him to exclude those photos.

In other words, our demand for pictures of the children, which we show by clicking on them and buying the magazines with them, ensures that there will always be pictures of the children so long as the Jackmans live in a place where paps are based. Maybe eventually they’ll move to a ranch like Harrison Ford, but even he has to come to a coast to work from time to time and when he does, the paps are waiting. It is an inescapable part of celebrity. That’s all there is to it.

And all of you haters, why don’t you take some time to actually read interviews with Hugh and Deb and try to figure out what they are really like rather than creating inane opinions based on your personal stereotypes? Plus, if you did a little research, the rest of us could be spared your consistent and repetitive idiocy because you’d already know who Deb is, how old she is, whether or not the kids are adopted, why they are, if Oscar is an Aborigine, etc.

Finally—the people who think that adopted children are a status symbol (Do you have any idea how prohibitive the adoption process is? Plus, afterwards? You have to raise a kid! No one adopts kids for status.) and that no connection is felt between an adoptee and the adoptive parent—I really wonder what it must be like in your head. Of all the comments that I’ve seen in relation to this family, that is by far the most inane, insulting, not just to the Jackmans but to all adoptive families, and vile. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Hugh’s wife Debra is NOT 53 she is 48, JJ keeps getting it wrong!

People…when Hugh married Deb, SHE was the beauty in the family, not him. She was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and he was very lucky to get her! She’s still a very attractive woman.

The Jackman family is refreshing after all the schmutz that comes out of hollywood babylon. They look like they are having a blast @ walt’s. I hope i look that good at 53. Bless em.

@sam: The shame is that in this world there are people like you, *******! Know that parents are the ones who BRING UP a kid, not the ones who give birth to a kid. There are parents that have biologically their children and they abuse them or rape them. Haven’t you ever heard of that, you moron? How dare you come out and say such things about a little girl and then saying “It is such a shame he didn’t have his own family…” Is it a shame that some people are not lucky to be able to have children because of medical problems? @eddie: Deborra had two miscarriages. Hugh Jackman himself says so. They tried a lot with hormones, injections and stuff but they couldn’t. So they decided to adopt.

This is famewhoring your kids, people. You cannot have two standards, one for people you deem more likeable and one for celebrities you don’t like. If Tom Crusie and Brad Pitt did this, most would call them out for their child famewhoring behavior. This is no different. However, I understand the famewhoring because he’s got a movie to sell. A movie that’s been getting consistently bad buzz since it started shooting by the well. Good luck to him because after a decent opening, Star Trek will kill it at the box office.

And to the people complaining about Christian Bale. Posters were only talking about how you would never see him famewhoring his family and they’re right. He would rather quit making movies then endure this blatant photo op. Good for him. Nothing is worth these obvious photo ops. They cheapen everyone involved. By the way, Bale is estranged from his mother and sister and they filed a police report for VERBAL assault because he wouldn’t give in to their monetary demands.

I don’t see why everyone keep comparing Hugh to Brad and Angie. At least, Hugh and his wife adopted a child with down syndrome. Special needs children are the hardest to place in homes out of all kids. And for them to take that cute little angel into their hearts, is enough for me to have respect for them. How many other celebs adopted a kid with special needs? Hmm…more than likely none!

hahaha, yeah, just blame the TMZ for everything right? I don’t blame them at all considering the fact that celebrities tip off the paps and tmz all the time, so they can get any little glimpse of publicity that they can.They give tips to paps so they can take pics of them out with the family, or shopping, or walking to their car. Some celebs even get paid to be photograped by paps! so STFU!!!

It’s this site mostly that draws the most horrid, shallow, ignorant and judgmental people on the net. On other sites, even tmz, all the comments are “oh, what a cute family”, “what a wonderful dad”, “beautiful children” etc. This is the only site where I’ve read stupid comments about photo ops and that he shouldn’t have adopted mixed race children. Don’t worry, there are still plenty of people on the net that are respectful and non judgmental. Most of them just don’t come here, and now I see why.
