Vanessa Hudgens & Nikki Reed: Thirteen Thrifty!
Former Thirteen costars Vanessa Hudgens and Nikki Reed indulge in a little retail therapy on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (April 23).
Vanessa and Nikki, both 20, were accompanied by pal Sage Dill and stopped by Fred Segal Feet and Diesel before grabbing some lunch at Lala’s Argentinian Grill.

@Dean: gabriella montez was actually her first latina role.
She’s previously said in interviews that she often never made it past the first round of auditions, to actually do the audition scene because she didn’t have the right look. She said she was constantly told she wasn’t asian-pacific islander looking enough to be cast in asian parts and she wasn’t hispanic-looking enough to be cast as a latina, and she wasn’t caucasian-looking enough to be cast as a caucasion-white girl.
Seems like HSM was the first audition she’d had in awhile where her skin color didn’t automatically preclude her from auditioning. That must be one of the most disheartening and frustrating aspects of that business. Disney/Disney Channel gets bagged on a lot, rightfully so in some respects, but I will give them some props for at least attempting to represent more than the caucasian world in their DCOM’s and tv shows.

For those who can’t remember, Vanessa was the bff of Evan Rachel before she was with Nikki… I can’t remember the characters names xDD She wasn’t any much time in the film, but yep there she is, and it’s kinda weird seeing her in Thirteen but whatever xD

A.K.A. those pictures are from 2007, and if you know how to calculate, you will figure out how many years it has been since the incident. Thing is, she was 15 years old when she took those pictures.
