Bea Arthur Dies, Thank You For Being A Friend

Bea Arthur, the Tony- and Emmy-winning actress best known for her role as Dorothy Zbornak on The Golden Girls, passed away early Saturday morning (April 25).

She was 86 and was suffering from cancer. Bea died peacefully at her Los Angeles home with her family by her side.

“She was a brilliant and witty woman,” said Dan Watt, who is the family spokesperson and was Bea’s personal assistant for six years. “Bea will always have a special place in my heart.”

R.I.P
I watched episodes of Golden Girls countless times with my mom and wife Thanks for years of laughs Bea

A truly talented and gifted lady. You will be missed.

She was a comic genius in her own right, RIP.

I don’t know of anyone who did not love the ” Golden Girls “. I believe her age ( 86 ) has shocked most of us, because of the re-runs. We still think if Bea as ” Dorothy.”
With Estelle gone, and ” Stan ” ( Dorothy’s long suffering ex-husband on the show ), and now Bea, it is just so sad, and a constant reminder how fast things can change.
As one poster said, ” Rest in Peace Pussycat,” you will be missed terrible, but heaven just became a real funny place.
ALL OF YOU WILL BE LOVINGLY REMEMBERED.
THANK YOU FOR YEARS OF LAUGHTER

she was so great on maude and of course golden girls. her timing of telling jokes with a straight face always was her greatest talent i think. there will never be another like this great dame.

Sorry to hear this, she was great, funny and a great fighter for women’s rights she will be missed.

Bea

Will be truly missed. But she will live on through “The Golden girls” Bea Thank you for bringing a smile to our faces and joy to our hearts. Thank you for being our friend.

i used to love watching Golden Girls!!
RIP

Awh.. RIP Bea. You will be in all of our hearts. We love you.

Aw, that’s horrible. I genuinely liked her as a human being. First Sophia and now her. Betty White is probably next and I shudder to even think about that. Why do nice old people have to die while unpleasant ***** like Miley Cyrus get to suck **** and ride around on bicycles?
