Kate Bosworth - MET Costume Institute Gala 2009
Kate Bosworth (in Stella McCartney) hits the red carpet at the “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).
Joining the 26-year-old actress on the red carpet was designer Stella McCartney, Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler. Kate’s boyfriend, model/musician James Rousseau (not pictured), wore Christopher Bailey’s designs in Burberry.
Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs and Anna Wintour will host the annual gala to raise money for the organization.

Finally, I think we have a winner! I love the dress. However, I don’t understand why she wore her hair down, it should have been worn up in a chignon. Her hair is obstructing the main detail of the garment which is the delicate stain trimmed collar.

Very nice, Kate! Black is definitely one of your best colors! I love your hair worn down like this in soft waves, slightly parted on the side. Very elegant. It reminds me just a bit of Lauren Bacall. The dress looks beautiful on you. I like the combination of sheer floral mesh lace and solid fabric panels. The scalloped lace collar is a nice touch on the neckline. Your jewelry is kept simple but still has impact. Your make up is lovely - especially that perfect shade of red lipstick. It’s not too strong and not washed out.

According to an article, Bar was invited by Vogue. Quite ironic that she never posed for that kind of magazine. Also sad that most of the supermodels and topmodels are not present on this year’s MET.

If I understand correctly, Miranda Kerr attended AFTER PARTY at Monkey bar, but WAS NOT on MET costume gala. Right? At the gala , there was NO ONE photo of Miranda. She went to the Monkey bar for the AFTER PARTY, but actually she was not on the real party . LOL! She is so pathetic. Bar Rafaeli and Heidi were on the real MET party , but Miranda was obviously good enough only for the Monkey bar. I can hardly wait for the Mirandas shippers explanation!

Liv Taylor looks huge next to the rest of the women in the picture. However, I do like her and think she is gorgeous. That blue is beautiful on her and I will bet her eyes were stunning with that dress and earrings. We can’t clearly see her eyes, but I a sure the dress really showed the off.
