Kate Bosworth - MET Costume Institute Gala 2009
Kate Bosworth (in Stella McCartney) hits the red carpet at the “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).
Joining the 26-year-old actress on the red carpet was designer Stella McCartney, Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler. Kate’s boyfriend, model/musician James Rousseau (not pictured), wore Christopher Bailey’s designs in Burberry.
Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs and Anna Wintour will host the annual gala to raise money for the organization.

Kate was pretty, very classic. Miranda was there but nobody seemed to care much because real models were attending the event. Oh yeah what a trashy outfit Miranda wore too. How unclassy of her to wear at a formal event.

But Kate looked really nice, the makeup and dress was classic.
Kate looks good and most posters at a very prominent fashion agrees on Kate’s sense of style.

According to an article, Bar was invited by Vogue. Quite ironic that she never posed for that kind of magazine. Also sad that most of the supermodels and topmodels are not present on this year’s MET.

Based on the pictures, I’ve noticed that a lot of designers, models, and actresses who are written on the invited list are absent from the event and a lot who are not written on the invited list are present …

Kate really looks beautiful in her Stella Mccartney dress. Most of the posters at The Fashion Spot say that Kate is one of the best dressed in the event.

I think her dress is gorgeous but the fun was probably creating that 1940s Hollywood/ Veronica Lake look.

If I understand correctly, Miranda Kerr attended AFTER PARTY at Monkey bar, but WAS NOT on MET costume gala. Right? At the gala , there was NO ONE photo of Miranda. She went to the Monkey bar for the AFTER PARTY, but actually she was not on the real party . LOL! She is so pathetic. Bar Rafaeli and Heidi were on the real MET party , but Miranda was obviously good enough only for the Monkey bar. I can hardly wait for the Mirandas shippers explanation!
Kate was perfectly looking and INSIDE the party, Miranda went to the Monkey bar for the AFTER PARTY. It is so ok.
Hair and makeup are pretty. The dress may be better if it were shorter.

Definitely looks as though she was going for an elegant but slightly vampy ’40’s look. She reminds me abit here of Kim Bassinger in “L.A. Confidential.” Kate’s a softly-feminine girl who wears classic/elegant very well imo.
