Thanks JJ, I love reading about Jen!!! :-)
She totally deserves this award and I am glad she is getting recognized for all her hard work in film. I wonder who her friend is? She looks like she could be Jen’s relative.
What are the Crystal & Lucy awards! I have never heard of this! Just another excuse to put JA on this blog! BORING JJ BORING!!!!!
Is this a joke, Jen getting an award for excellence in film? Are these awards being bought by Huvane? She is a medicore actress at best, and their are hundreds of actresses who actually deserve this award.

Per The Hollywood Reporter:
Jennifer Aniston, Holly Hunter, Elizabeth Banks, Catherine Hardwicke and cinematographer Petra Korner will be honored at the 2009 Crystal + Lucy Awards, set for June 12 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City.
Women in Film, Los Angeles presents the annual event, chaired by Iris Grossman, that recognizes the achievements of women in the entertainment industry.
Aniston will be this year’s recipient of the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film. The Emmy-winning “Friends” actress has moved on to a film career with movies as various as the offbeat romantic comedies “The Break-Up” and “Along Came Polly” and indie efforts like “The Good Girl.” Most recently, she has appeared in “Marley & Me” and “He’s Just Not That Into You” and next stars in “The Baster” and “Bounty Hunter.”
Hunter, who stars in TNT’s “Saving Grace,” is to receive the 2009 Lucy Award for Excellence in Television. Having appeared in such films as “Blood Simple,” “The Piano” and “Broadcast News,” Hunter also has collected such TV credits as the HBO film “The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom” and NBC’s “Roe vs. Wade,” winning Emmys for both performances.
The MaxMara Face of the Future Award will go to Banks, who had four films in theaters last year: “W.,” “Zack and Miri ,” “Role Models” and “Meet Dave.” She also recently appeared on the big screen in “The Uninvited” while also showing up in a recurring role on ABC’s “Scrubs.” She is involved in producing several projects, including “The Surrogates” and “Forever 21,” through her Brownstone Prods.
Hardwicke, who most recently directed the hit “Twilight,” will be recognized with the Dorothy Arzner Directors Award. Her films also include “thirteen,” “The Nativity Story” and “Lords of Dogtown.” Hardwicke recently signed on to direct the film adaptation of the young-adult novel “If I Stay” for Summit as well as the adaptation of James Patterson’s “Maximum Ride” for Columbia.
The Petra Korner/Kodak Vision Award will be presented to Korner, whose cinematography appears in such recent films as “The Wackness” and “The Informers” as well as the upcoming Wes Craven thriller “25/8.”
“Women in Film is thrilled to honor these extraordinarily versatile women who truly represent the new paradigm of Hollywood,” WIF/LA president Jane Fleming said. “Each of them has succeeded wildly by having the courage to work in all areas of the entertainment industry, transitioning between film and television, comedy and drama, studio and independent projects, both in front of and behind the camera.”

in reality i want to be honor for my excellent work in anything in the industry. i do not want to be given nomination for brining flyes and send back home empty handed many times. what an embarassment. who do you rememer people for thier nomination no one. specially when you get invited for bring the media to the show. may be we will remeber them for being used to bring up the rate of the show ha ha ha . arent they the home coming queen and king of the hollywood ha ha ha . do not worry we will remeber them for that.

sorry this honor for her excellent work in film. what did your idols get? , nothing.
The Women in Film honor is a marketing tool just like her Glaad award she received when she had a movie to promote. It’s funny she does not get nominated for her work in film just honorary awards. It’s all about PR not quality of the work.
Oh bet, this award owes much to one’s publicist. SHuvane is a bulldog publicist who works hard for all the money Jen is paying him and for all the handholding he has to do with Jen. He earns every penny she has paid him over the years. He has kept her afloat and guided her PR to her best advantage and for that he deserves to be well paid.
Kinda sad when you think that Lisa K the best actress of the three on Friends never gets honors or all the movie offers like Jen does. Jen was the worst of the the three actresses on Friends but has proven to be the best at marrying well and hitching her career on that and even on a 2005 divorce. Any thinking person sees that as a true fact.
I am a Friends fan but not a Jen fan as she hoggged too much storyline the last few years and was and is the least talented of the the three women on the show. CCox and LisaK were cheated and that is a shame.
I wonder what roles Jen will do as she ages out of rom coms in the next 2-3 years. Bet you are one of her major fans, do you ever ask yourself that question? Cameron Diaz at 35 says she is moving on from mostly rom coms as she thinks she is aging out of those roles. Jen is 40, what bet do you see in her future in terms of film roles? Or do you see her venturing back to tv?
To become a member of Women in Film you have to pay. 100,000 gets you a lifetime membership. How much you want to bet Jen paid good to get “honored”.
